Lae Nani condo description
Our Lae Nani unit opens to a captivating view of the beach, ocean, the landscaping and the Wailua Bay. It is a second floor unit. We are new owners of it and recently completed major remodeling with a new kitchen, new bathrooms, and new furniture including a flat screen television. We chose this property over other available ones on the basis of the view, its location, and the grounds. It is located midway between Hanalei and Poipu on the Coconut coast. The beach at the property provides good, safe swimming and snorkeling and there is a lava encircled beach area that is ideal for young swimmers. Numerous other beaches with more wave action are nearby providing for excellent surfing and boogie boarding.
We are walking distance to many excellent restaurants not to mention a very good bakery/coffee shop. We are very close to the Coconut Market Place that also has many very good casual restaurants as well as a Lapperts Ice Cream shop, Yogurt, Pizza and a Whalers General Store that is well stocked with sundries, beach accessories, beer etc.
In other words, other than for groceries, one would never have to get in their car.

- Our unit is an end unit on the second floor of a two story building (one of only 4) which means the view is outstanding and no noise from people above. While we are located near the main highway, the location of our unit shields us from any road noise. The property is beautifuly landscaped with the manager being a tropical landscaping expert. We are located immediately North of the Wailua River,(excellent kayaking and paddle boarding.) and several minutes South of the quaint town of Kapa'a which has a rich history as a sugar plantation industry town. While it's architectural charm has not changed, it now has excellent restaurants, art and Jewelry galleries, clothing stores, and bike and kayak rentals. The Coconut Market Place is is a two minute walk from Lae Nani. It has a number of casual but good eating establishments, a well stocked convenience store and stores that sell Hawaiian/ beach clothing. We are a two minute drive or a 10 minute walk to small shopping centers with major food markets and pharmacies....moreless

Just completing our one week stay at this beautiful condo. The description of the condo on VRBO is very accurate. Recently updated kitchen and bath, all of the appliances and utensils that you could ask for, lost of extras, eg beach towels, beach chair, boogie board, DVDS, some spices and condiments in the fridge etc. Great view from the Lanai. Beach is ok but in winter time east side beaches can get a little rough. Only a 25 minute to Poipu beach where the water is usually calm even in winter. Great location,..centrally located between Poipu activities and North shore stuff (Princeville, Hanalei). Easy walk to the Passion Bakery for some yummy breakfast treats. Grounds are kept very clean and the on site pool is very nice. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay in your condo, the unit was very clean, nicely appointed and centrally located. The decorating really had that tropical feel, loved the Hawaiian art work throughout the unit, the owners really did a nice job. We spent lots of time on the Lanai, enjoying the view and comfortable furniture. The pool and the grounds were imaculate and not once did we see or hear a chicken. The location was perfect for us as first timers to the island, close to the airport and shopping, quick access going north or south and walking distance to many restaurants. The owner was pleasent to deal with and check in and out was a breeze.

Great Condo - well taken care of

We loved our stay at this property and in particular this condo. They are spacious and remodeled. My husband loved the espresso machine (being european!) and we loved to stocked kitchen as we ate in much of the time. View from the lanai is great. Fun to see a monk seal on the beach at the condo and even boogie board in the waves a bit. Slightly rough waters so you must be experienced swimmer. We would stay here again.

Owner response: It pleases us greatly when guests let us know they appreciate the condition and amenities of our condo. The last guests commented on the ocean water being a bit rough. The condition of the ocean varies considerably with each area dependent on the season and the weather at the time. The beach at Lae Nani varies, as all do, ranging from very calm and peaceful much of the time, to quite rough at other times when only a very strong swimmer should enter the water. This is true for all beaches and we advise our guests to be safe and use good judgement.
This is an absolutely lovely condo. The photos capture the furnishings, view, and amenities perfectly. (Palm tree in far left of photos of view has grown, but view is still spectacular.) We were delighted with everything, from comfort of bed to decor to kitchen supplies. Spotless, and there were great extras such as beach equipment to enhance our stay. Resort is low key and does not have flashy amenities, but it has pretty grounds, and the beach access is incredible--can walk for miles, it seems. Owner was very easy to work with. We would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Accomodations & Lovely View
Wonderful Accomodations & Lovely View
There is nothing not to love about Lae Nani #124. The unit was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities of home. It was a quick walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. My husband and I had the most relaxing time there and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Every day we walked along the beach up to Kapaa and further up the coast. The owner was friendly and responsive - I'm glad we got to share a little bit of paradise with us. Wish we were there now.

Highly recommend this condo!!! The unit itself and the grounds are in fabulous condition. The unit is very nice and very well appointed. The owners have gone above and beyond in both remodeling it and furnishing it. You will find everything you need---very well equipped kitchen (even things like spices and olive oil), nice TV, DVD player, Bose speaker system, bedding, towels (including pool towels), toiletries, AND island adventuring equipment like coolers, beach towels, beach chairs and mats, fishing pole, etc., etc. There is also a safe in the unit. The pool and beach area is beautiful and it is RIGHT ON a very nice beach. Parking is gated and safe. Location of complex is perfect---about halfway around the island. Perfect for getting to one side or the other for a day trip. Area around the condo is nice---everything you need is within walking distance. Owner was very easy to work with as was entering and vacating the condo. Rent this place for your fabulous Kauai vacation---it will not disappoint!!!

Luxury with a View
Luxury with a View
My husband, four-year-old, and I spent two weeks at this fantastic condo. While the photos in the listing are very attractive, when you arrive you will realize that the condo, the view from the lanai, and the property itself are so much better than you could have imagined. The condo, which has a private tiled entrance, has cozy berber carpeting, chic Pottery Barn furniture, and a fully remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. The lanai is large and holds a chaise lounge (a favorite reading spot for me) and a dining set. We enjoyed many meals watching and listening to the waves. The attention to detail in this unit is obvious and it makes for a comfortable, luxurious escape from home. The property is impeccably maintained and if a leaf falls on the lawn in the middle of the night the maintenance staff will have swept it up before you wake up. The keiki pond was a favorite spot for our son, as it provided a protected place for water play and even had some fish! The pool was always warm and refreshing. We ventured away from the condo and property many times (we visited some beautiful beaches and waterfalls and loved kayaking up the Wailua River), but would have been content just to stay put. We hope to return soon - the comforts of home (or better) in a tropical paradise!

There were 3 of us sharing this condo for one week and we were delighted with the location and the decor of the unit. We found it very easy to walk to Coconut Market Place and it is very convenient to travel both north and south from this location. There is a common laundry in the Outrigger main building. The grounds are beautifully kept as is the pool area, the beach is a very small area. The owner was very helpful when we found it necessary to call him. The only downside was the lack of a phone in the unit, which makes it difficult to call for reservations etc or in case of an emergency. We did have a cell phone but had not anticipated having to use it! We would definitely recommend this unit for a couple.

Our Own Piece of Paradise.
Our Own Piece of Paradise.
As soon as we entered this comfortable condo, my husband and I knew we were on Hawaii time. It was tastefully decorated, immaculate and charming. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was decked out with top-notch appliances. The towels and sheets were yummy. We thought we'd eat out more but we loved the kitchen so much we ate in a whole lot more than we imagined. There is truly nothing better than be so close to the ocean. It's especially amazing to see the water from our room. It’s such a great location. The area is peaceful and we loved the garden setting. For coffee aficionados, the condo is close to a café where they sell bay area’s best, Blue Bottle coffee. We were lucky to have found this area, and especially lucky to stay in #124. It was like having your own piece of paradise. It’s really a hidden gem.

About the owner: We are retired educators and have raised 4 children. When the kids were younger, we came to Hawaii many times. Having visited and enjoyed the other Islands, our favorite has been Kauai for the spectacular scenery, the friendly people, the variety of activities and that it hasn't been ruined by overdevelopment. Friends recently lured us back to Kaui resulting in a renewed love for the Island and after discovering Lae Nani, we decided that this was the place for us.
Why the Owner Chose Lae Nani:
We feel that Lae Nani has qualities that we did not find in other properties. Besides being ideally located, Lae Nani had the most appealing overall quality environment. The grounds are beautifull landscaped. The manager has his own mini nursery resulting in Hawaiin colors adorning the landscaping at all times. While we have our own swimming bearch, we are close to other excellent beaches, close to the charming town of Kapaa and being in east Kauai, the drive to either Poipu or Hanalei is not excessive. There is a tennis court on site and parking is secure.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We are located near the Wailua River with Kayaking, canoeing, and Hiking. Golfing and shopping are nearby. We are short walk to a variety of excellent eating establishments including Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Italian Cafe, and casual seafood restaurants.
