My husband and I are new retirees and recently spent 6 weeks at this charming casita. Being new to the Peurto Vallart/ Buceries area and also new to choosing rental properties on VRBO, we feel we've hit the jackpot with having the opportunity to stay in Buceries and finding such a wonderful place to stay. I feel strongly that a great rental can "make or break" your vacation, particularly when you're staying for a lengthy period of time. I will always have fond memories of our stay at Casita De Las Flores. I loved the Mexican decor, beautiful tropical garden setting with beautiful birds, the huge dining area under our palapa where we ate all our meals, read, used our laptop, and just relaxed after our long walks on the beach and a refreshing dip in Candace's gorgeous swimming pool. One does not need beach front rental property when a casita this charming in a beautiful area of town is only a 1 minute walk from the beach. This casita is in an ideal location, a short walk to El Centro, close to great shopping and many fine restaurants, and just a short bus ride to PV. Candace was an excellent host and a wonderful soarce of information about the area. I highly recommend this rental property to anyone wanting peace and relaxation yet close to beach and all the other amenities Buceries offers. A picture is often worth a 1000 words and this place is just how the pictures present it.

My husband & I just spent an amazing week at Casitas De Las Flores. We stayed in Puerto Vallarta the prior week with our adult sons and were looking for some quiet down time to recharge. The Casita was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. We spent many days and evenings lounging by the pool and enjoying the lush tropical foliage. Candace was an excellent host and we enjoyed getting to know her. We had never booked through VRBO before so were a little leery. Candace was always prompt replying to my emails and answered all my questions, and then some. We would highly recommend this vacation property and are looking forward to our return.

Staying at Casitas de Las Flores is like staying in a small paradise. This is our third visit here and it will not be our last. We love the casitas and their decore, whcih is just like the photos promise. Having a very private place to swim and enjoy the wonderful gardens is such a gift. This is the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the warmth of both the climate and people. Recent additions to the property including the Wi-Fi and pool updates are greatly appreciated. Thank you Candace for another wonderful visit. We recommend your casitas to everyone we know travelling to the Puerto Vallarta area.

A cute little find in Bucerias

What an amazing little place to stay in Bucerias! Central location with a quick bus ride to Puerto Vallarta, a 10-15 minute walk to downtown Bucerias (which is a great way to burn off those calories from the amazing restaurants!) and just around the corner from the sandy beach! Our little Casita was so comfortable, relaxing, and private! We found it hard to get going before noon everyday as we just loved sitting in our own little dining area outside. The pool is clean and cool - perfect for a dip at the end of the day! The gardens are beautiful and the fresh cut flowers were a nice touch. Many thanks to Candice - she was so helpful with providing information, and has mastered the art of being available, but giving each guest their own space. She is a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. Also, a big thank you to Mercedes - one of the staff members - who has a great knowledge of Bucerias as well. We enjoyed speaking with you in Spanish! We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Bucerias visitors

This is a Go-To rental for us. We have stayed here twice and in her Casa Fandango, which is also in Bucerias. We will continue to book here without hesitation whenever we are visiting Bucerias. Both rental units are in great locations, being only a few steps to the beach and a short stroll to town. It is safe, clean, private and worry free. Candace and Chuck will make sure you are comfortable. Thank you again, we had yet another great time in your Casita!!

Tropical Hideaway

Candace and Chuck are such gracious hosts that you feel like friends by the time you leave. My husband and I spent a month (Nov. 16, 2011 - Dec. 15, 2011) in one of their two casitas. The lush, tropical garden setting is so tranquil and relaxing and the beautiful blue-tiled pool so invitingly refreshing that we had a difficult time dragging ourselves outside the property during our stay. But,we did manage a long beach walk every morning on the miles of white sand beach, the access just a short block away. And enjoyed some of the many restaurants and shopping and markets in Bucerias town and surrounding areas. The casita is well-appointed and tastefully decorated with a designer eye. It is fronted by a huge palapa, perfect for relaxing on lounge chairs and where we ate most of our meals. We have no hesitation is recommending this lovely property.

My partner and I just returned from a fabulous week in Bucerias, staying at Casa des Flores and we can't wait to go back. We met other people in Bucerias and saw where they were staying and felt very smug that we had discovered this private little oasis. The description of the property is totally accurate but cannot do it justice. When you close the gate and step into the garden the rest of the world disappears. The cottages are just so quiet and secluded. The hospitality is great but respectful of privacy. The kitchen was well equipt (although with some many great restaurants in Bucerias we really only used the kitchen for breakfast). The cottage was bright and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with a very hot shower. The pool is lovely and clean. The location in Bucerias is great, walking distance to everything and no more than 2 minutes to the beach. I honestly have nothing negative to say about Casa des Flores. If you are travelling without kids do yourselves a favour and check this place out - you will not be sorry.

Our experience with Candace and Chuck at Casitas Las Flores was very enjoyable. It was everything as advertized. clean,cozy and comfortable. There were plenty of very good eating establishments within walking distance for whatever you might crave. Great pool and a very relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I would certainly recommend that if anyone wants a very quiet and relaxing place to stay then this is the place for you.

Convenient, charming Bucerias casita

Just returned from a one month stay at Caitas de las Flores. A delightful rental, with peaceful surroundings. Owners Candace and Chuck are graceful hosts and do their best to make your stay a memorable experience. The patio areas on either casita are great places to spend an afternoon, reading, working on a hobby, checking your e-mail, or taking a nap. During warm weather these patios just cry out as the place to escape the sun. A recently remodeled pool also is spectacular. Located on the main street in Bucerias, and just a short two minute (well, maybe three) walk to the beach you will find yourself right in the heart of the action. And yet, the Casita de las Flores has a quiet enviroment behind the gates that lead to the courtyard and casitas. . Candace goes all out to make you feel at home. During our stay we had an medical emergency that required a trip to the doctor. Candace took us there personally and it took a strong stand to get her to leave the clinic once we got there. She was insistent that she stay until the visit was over. Summary: It's all good! First trip to Bucerias -- go for this place!

Peaceful and Private

This casita, on the property of a larger home, is very comfortable and quiet, with gorgeous plants and a large swimming pool right outside the door. We were within one block of the beach and within walking distance of the center of town. The owners were on site and very respectful of our privacy as well as being very convivial and helpful. We felt we were very safe and secure on the property. We definitely recommend a visit to this part of Mexico and this is a wonderful place for a couple to stay. Another casita is available and also very private.

In November spent our 40th anniversary in the casita pictured with the hammock. We felt like we were in a little Garden of Eden. The privacy, lush landscape and freedom from the telephone made this a wonderful celebration. We would recommend this to anyone who wants a beautiful, quiet getaway... and it is a short block to a great, uncrowded beach. Plus Bucerias is a great little "walking town" with no need for a car, good restaurants and shops. I found a great surfing beach at Sayulita with plenty of inexpensive board rentals and a charming village as well, a beautiful 12 peso round trip away by bus. Who could complain about all this? "The spectacular private courtyard, the garden, and a cool, clean and airy Palapa made our recent visit to Bucerias a memorable escape this past January. The beach, just around the corner, provided a pleasant walk along the ocean's edge to a variety of quality restaurants for brunch. Candace, the owner and hostess, is very gracious and helpful while maintaining her privacy and that of her guests. Each day we were drawn from the beach to the pool and the relaxing cool of the courtyard. Then a quiet stroll for a light evening meal, or tapas and possibly a vintage ..." After spending teh first part of our vacation in Puerto Vallarta we were looking for a little bit of quiet and relaxation. We certainly found both at Casita de las Flores. The casita was so cute and the setting was perfect. The amazing foliage gave us total privacy and the thatched roof veranda was a great place to relax. The pool and the courtyard surrounding it are a photographers dream. Candace was a wonderful hostess and looked after all of our needs. Hopefully, we will be able to return again someday.

We spent a week at this incredible property in March. Chuck and Candace are fine hosts and introduced us to the nuances of Bucerias. The palapa patios are fantastic as is the pool and beautiful tropical gardens. Believe me, you won't want to leave!!

We have just returned from a wonderful three week stay at the Casitas de las Flores and wish that we were still there. The casita was a perfect spot for our vacation and the wonderful palapa covered patio by the front door gave us such a feeling of privacy. The well equipped kitchen more than suited our needs and allowed us to sample the best of the local markets. The gardens and the pool are a treat for the eyes and for the camera. Finally, Candace is a marvelous hostess who became our friend as well. We certainly hope to return again next year.

We chose this wonderful property as an alternative to an "all inclusive" and definately made the right choice. Our Casita was exceptionally clean and neat (thanks to Mercedes) and equipped with everything that we needed, even down to the books !!. We found the location was great for catching a cab into Puerto Vallarta or walking to the local shops and restaurants. Tim's tour on our first day was great and his advice to shop at the sunday market was taken and we would highly recommend it. We would certainly consider another vaction at 'Casitas de Las Flores' again.

We loved our tour with Tim, we loved the pool - starting and ending everyday with a swim. Casitas de las Flores is just as it appears and better...the property is beautiful,with lots of flowers and palm trees by the pool. You can relax in a clean and beautifully decorated little cottage with hammocks and lounge chairs to follow the sun. Candace is a charming hostess who takes time to answer questions and she gives her honest opinions about the area and the various places in the area ...you can trust her. After a week in Vallarta it was a haven and if we wanted to venture out and explore it was well located to catch a bus or taxi to the northern beaches of Banderas Bay.

Lush, beautiful, charming, beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean - and that just describes the owner... Seriously, all the adjectives above and many more superlatives can be used to describe this little gem of a vacation paradise. In my two visits I have been impressed not only by the physical elements of the property, which are wonderful, but by the graciousness of the management, which is thoughtful and caring, without being intrusive. Guidance on to where to eat, play,and sightsee is provided - as well as instructions for making killer margaritas if that's your pleasure. I can't recommend the Casitas de las Flores highly enough!

I have enjoyed the warm and welcoming environment of Casa De Las Flores through its purchase and renovation. It has been amazing how two rather ordinary casitas became havens of rest and relaxation while all around you there are myriads of things to do and places to go -- a true vacation in paradise.

We spent a wonderful two weeks in one of these lovely casitas in February 2005; it is truly a gracious and relaxing setting from which you can explore Bucerias and the surrounding area.
