My husband and I met our daughter and son-in-law at this cozy cottage for a weekend. We came from Alabama and they live in DC. Just a few hours for them so an easy after work drive. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen for my daughter and I to cook - which we both love to do, plus room to roam for the dogs and the guys. We all played cards at the nice sized dining table. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

My husband and I found this charming cottage online and so glad we did! Everything about it was comfortable and welcoming. I cooked all our meals in the beautiful kitchen and it was a joy! Discovering and walking our dog through Warm Springs was so relaxing. Ending the day back at the cottage by the fire made for the perfect, relaxing weekend. Hope to be back soon!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a fabulous time! The cottage was wonderful and exactly what we wanted. We had a great time at the festival and the Natural Retreats people were really nice. Everything was above and beyond what we expected (I've never stayed at a rental so well equipped - great appliances and a knife that cut!!!). We were talking on the way home about when we may be able to work out another weekend up there before the summer is over... to just relax and enjoy the setting. The yard out back was perfect for a glass of wine and some Bocce and we didn't have nearly enough time to enjoy it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: You MUST return!! You are welcome anytime!

A cottage at ease with itself and its surroundings. A perfect set of rooms, each a picturesque arrangement prompting comfortable country life. We loved breakfast in the cheerful breakfast nook. Reading on the screened-in porch. Venturing out for walks in the golden evening light filtering through the trees. Canoeing at nearby lake Moomaw. Dinner and dancing at the Homestead. Ours was a week in paradise.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our family has stayed her numerous times over the years and have always loved it. The cottage is charming, easy to get to and very comfortable for 4-6 people. We bring our children for skiing at the Homestead in the winter (it's right down the street) and for fishing, hiking and bike riding in the spring/summer. The Jefferson Baths are also right down the street. There is a wonderful restaurant in Warm Springs within walking distance of the house and several others a short drive away in Hot Springs. Great getaway for families or couples.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
