This cozy and charming chalet is nestled in the Matterhorn valley with breathtaking mountain views of the Weisshorn, the Berner Alps, the Matterhorn, and many many more! The Chalet is appropriately named Sans Souci, which means 'No Worries'.
Situated in the small mountain village of Grachen, Chalet Sans Souci offers a sun terrace and balcony that directly faces a mountain valley.
Ideal for snow skiing and snowboarding in the winter, this car-free ski village with offers slopes that are within walking distance of the Chalet. The world class ski slopes in Zermatt are about a 30 minute drive away, where it is possible to ski into Italy! Daily bus and train services are available to and from Zermatt and Grachen. Ski schools are very friendly and easy to find.
In the summer, Grachen offers some of the most spectacular hiking trails in the world. Quite forested trails are located throughout the hilly landscape, while more difficult rocky trails provide a range of opportunities for hikes and casual walks.
The charming little village is great for families, or for a romantic get-away. Sans Souci is located WITHIN A 5 MINUTE walk of the village center, where a variety of shops, bakeries, incredible restaurants, hotels, and grocers are available. EXCELLENT PUBLIC TRANSIT IS AVAILABLE TO GET TO AND FROM GRACHEN. RENTING A CAR IS NOT NEEDED! The village is extremely child friendly with many playgrounds and fun things to do!
The Chalet sleeps four people, with a master bedroom and a separate bedroom that sleeps two. The Chalet offers a full service kitchen and bathroom.

We cannot say enough great things about this wonderful chalet in Grachen! We stayed here during New Year's 2012 and had a fabulous time. The townhome was very clean, had a full kitchen and fireplace, and offered amazing views in the morning. It is a short stroll into town, and easily within walking distance of the ski slopes. Everything is so close you don't need to rent a car. The town of Grachen is very charming and has some great restaurants. We also did a day trip to Zermatt for some skiing and to view the Matterhorn - only a 30 minute train ride away. Would recommend this townhome to anyone looking for a fun getaway - we will definitely be renting again soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I recently had a wonderful stay in this cozy apartment at the end of August. As we love hiking, we decided to go to Switzerland for a vacation. Grachen has lots of great hiking trails and we just couldn't get enough of the spectacular views of the alps. What we really loved about this apartment is the huge patio where we could have breakfast everyday, soak up some sun, read a book and take in the fresh mountain air. The apartment is clean and has everything you need. Sans Souci as this lovely chalet is called truly deserves its name: No worries! The apartment is charming, spacious (we were two people, and it would be super for both a family of five or two couples), well equipped and has an unbeatable view! In the evening it becomes super-cozy if you decide to light up a fire :-) To our convenience several supermarkets, shops, restaurants (I have located one of my absolute all times favourites in this wonderful Alp village!), cafes etc. was located within walking distance from the apartment - and so was the Grächen skiresort (even with skiboots on;-). But we wanted even more and went also to the amazing resorts of Zermatt, Saas-fee and Cranz Montana - all of them can be reached within an hour by car (as Grächen is somewhat in the middle of all this - like the heart of a large ski resort body). We were happy that the apartment came with a parking space. Why the Owner Chose Grachen:
I used to visit this small mountain village as a child with my grandparents. Our family spent so many happy times in the beautiful place. We would visit Zermatt, and hike all day. This place is very special to me and to my family, and that is why I bought the house.
