I have visited this mountain home more than once. It is a lovely, well equipped home. I have been there for solitude and with family to vacation. It is a wonderful, peaceful setting that is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. From here you can visit Mt. Airy, NC (Mayberry, RFD), Chateau Morrisette Winery, Mabry Mill, and other parkway attractions. Or you can simply hike the mountain or enjoy the clear mountain air. This home is well decorated and comfortable. It offers seperate spaces for TV viewing, playing pool or being quiet all at the same time. If you have a multi-generational family this is the ideal place to be anytime of the year.

My family and I needed to get away for a relaxing weekend and this was exactly what we needed. Being so close to Mt Airy we were able to go and visit the places that Andy Griffith put in his show. My children and I enjoyed the pool table the whole time we were there. My wife and I were able to relax and have a wonderful with God in this beautiful setting. I highly recommend this place.

This is a great place to get away and relax (which is one of my favorite things to do!). And in case resting isn't your thing, there are several places to hike and explore along the Parkway within an hour's drive.

I loved my time "shooting pool where it's cool" at this adorable home in the mountains. The place is incredibly clean and taken care of. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visited Chauteau Morrisette Winery for a wine tasting. It was so relaxing!

I have spent a long weekend here when I was in town from overseas with my family for Thanksgiving and around Christmas, and it is absolutely perfect. If you want to be outside the crisp mountain air is great, and there are places to walk, scenic drives on the parkway, and loads of room in the yard to throw a football or frisbee. If you want to stay inside and be warm and cozy, the fireplaces provide heat and ambiance for playing pool, putting together a puzzle, or watching a movie. As a pianist, the classic old upright added a particular character to the house. We would definitely stay here again!
