We enjoyed our stay at the Summit!! It was very clean and comfortable and had a pretty great view of the mountains as well. Very quiet up on a hill at the end of the road. There is a unit attached but no one was there the whole time and it was very peaceful! The kitchen has absolutely anything you could ever need if you decide to cook. Just be sure to get all your groceries while in the city because there aren't any grocery stores very close. It was in a pretty good location, you could go left to head toward Gatlinburg or go right to head toward Pigeon Forge. It took us about 20 to 30 minutes to get into either one depending on traffic. I would highly recommend the trip into Townsend and tube down the river. It was very affordable as well, then after tubing head on in to Cades Cove. We learned the hard way that it was much better to go through Townsend to Cades Cove vs. going through Gatlinburg with 26 miles of curvy roads, thought I was gonna be sick by the time we got there! But we came out through Townsend. Also, Ober Gatlinburg was pretty great too! If you want a nice place to stay at an affordable price, then you will not be disappointed by choosing the Summit! Thanks again for sharing your townhome with us!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The Summit was a wonderful retreat for our family and I would highly recommend it! The home was even more lovely than the pics. We were amazed at the size of the master bedroom--it had a large sitting area not pictured on the internet with a tv armoire and loveseat. My husband and I traveled with our daughters, ages 15 and 6, and our 4-year-old son. The Summit was perfect because they had a downstairs bedroom with ample size that also had a full bathroom. The queen bed was perfect for the girls and our son slept on a blow-up on the floor. The house had a couple of roll-aways as well, our son just preferred his own kid-sized blow-up. This house is perfect for families because the kids have a safe room downstairs with no outside access, while mom and dad can have a quiet retreat in the master on the third level. The Summit included a very roomy living space with an exceptionally clean kitchen with all the amenities needed to cook any meal. We were also pleased with the large number of movie choices in the DVD/VHS library. We particularly enjoyed watching old favorites from our own childhoods with the kids like Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang, and Pete's Dragon. Ms. Ronda was wonderful in answering every question we had and even had good advice on area events to try since we were there on July 4th. We loved the beautiful view and the location was convenient to Pigeon Forge destinations. We would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Summit or the area to go to Dollywood during Kidsfest--your kids will love it! Also, the Old Mill Restaurant and Applewood are wonderful places to eat. The Apple Barns Cidar Bar is a wonderful place for a snack/treat and cheap too! An apple doughnut is only 40 cents and you can top it off with a 69 cents frozen cider! I didn't know such prices still existed in a tourist town! Needless to say we stopped in at the apple barn several times! We also recommend tubing the Little River in Townsend and hiking some of the many trails in Gatlinburg. Other things we have enjoyed on prior trips were Cades Cove and shopping at Tanger Outlets. No matter where you choose to go, the Summit is a wonderful place to return to each evening.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our stay at The Summit was very enjoyable. The house is very comfortable, in a quiet, serene setting. The view from the balcony is spectacular. It is close enough to Pidgeon Forge that we could get there in minutes to visit the areas downtown, yet far enough away to miss all of the noise when we choose to have a quiet evening at home. Miss Rhonda is a very charming hostess/property manager and made us feel as though we had just come home. From the time we arrived until we left, our stay was enjoyable, We hope to go back someday soon.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
