Great Stay at Jay!
Great Stay at Jay!
What a great little gem by the mountains! The pellet stove kept the place nice and warm…Although we had relatively mild temps. The wood burning hot tub was definitely unique- unlike anything I have used before. It did take about a day of fire building and watching to get up to temp, but the ambiance of sitting in a warm tub, with the smell of fire, while it’s snowing on you was awesome! We have stayed at the resort in previous years and while it’s nice to have ski in-ski out...this house has charm and it only seemed like 5 minute drive to get to the mountain. And we saved a ton of money! I would definitely recommend a winter ski trip stay here and we'll be considering again for next year’s trip.

Jolly Good Times :)
Jolly Good Times :)
We arrived in the early afternoon and Wendy was there to greet us and introduce us with all the amenities of the house. At our very first outting we had a flat-tire adventure and thanks to Wendy we found the mechanics and help pretty fast. She even offered the use of her own AAA! The house is just lovely! It has it's own special charm which is not possible to be shown in the pictures. We had great time playing fooseball and eating at this amazing wodden dining set. Kitchen is addorable, each cook in our team felt warm and welcome there. The livingroom was our groups' sancturary where we gathered next to the warm and cheerful fireplace and played endless games till late at night. I loved the blue tones of the bathroom and it's antique cabinets. Everything in this house is put together with love and care and you can feel that yourself when you're there. This is the best experience we have had! And the most joyful and warm house we have been in. Thank you, Wendy!

We arrived from NYC quite late at night to find the house ready for us with the fire place burning, hot-tub warming up and everything ready. House is well laid out, with a great gas+pallet fireplace which kept us very warm in the -10 F nights and gave the house a natural wood-burning feel. The wooden hot-tub was one unlike we have experienced ever before; the scent of the wood-burning fire under the stars made it a relaxing spa-like experience we will never forget. But best of all, Wendy went above and beyond to help us with every need and request. We will definitely be back very soon!!

Wendy's Haus is amazing! Best Soak I have had in a very long time. The house is very clean and quant. Perfect Ski trip house for family or friends. Couldn't of worked out better. Wendy is a great a host and put a lot of work and love into the house which can be seen through many small but key personal effects and craftsmanship.Pictures don't do justice to how great the place is.

About the owner: A true Vermonter, born and raised in East Montpelier, VT. After finishing college and moving back to VT I found myself during the winters wanting to be at the ski hills. Unsure if I could transition 100% to rural VT it took me a few years to make the move. Now, I love it.
Why the Owner Chose Jay:
This property is a great retreat after a day of powder and wood skiing/riding at Jay Peak. It's great to get away from the mountain and take in some of the local flair! The Fanatics House, I am a Jay Peak Fanatic, has lots of character and can entertain many. Make it your home for the weekend!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This rental property is located right on route 100 in Troy, VT. It is walking distance to the country store, local resturant, bank and post office. Besides a great place to hang with friends it has a unique woodfired hot tub for some evening relaxing.
