  2 bedroom condo was clean, well stocked, near downtown shops and farmer's market (~2 miles), condo doesn't overlook ocean, however pool does and is a great spot for relaxing and observing passing whales. Beaches are very close, but Kona Shores condos sit on a lava bed with a beautiful lava-rock shore - wonderful place to watch the waves crash, and sun set.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

  This property is accurately described, The condo is clean and well-equipped and the location is excellent. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk to town for Happy Hour and there is a coffee shack next door for lattes. The lanai is pleasantly private. We enjoyed watching for whales and dolphins from the pool deck. There is a large area near the pool for barbecuing (complete with washrooms).Kona and the Big Island are something that everyone should experience - so many things to see and do. We enjoyed our vacation very much and hope to return soon.

  The condo was very clean and comfortable. The listing description was very accurate. The owner was very friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. It is an easy and nice walk to town to restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Shores and would recommend it and we hope to go back again and would rent this same unit.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We really enjoyed our stay, it was so nice watching the suinsets and spinner dolphins right there by the pool. walking distance to town and a really nice little beach with sea turtles, looking forward to our next trip

  We love to stay here. We're pretty active, so we just need a place to prepare our meals and sleep/shower. The condo is clean and has all the stuff you need to stay and play. The ocean is at the end of the property where you can either sit on the rocks and view the sunset or stay in the pool and do the same. Town is a 20 minute walk, so you can enjoy happy hour and walk back ;) There is easy snorkleing just down the road but if you are an experience snorkler, the water is clear just off the property and the fish plentiful.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
