At the end of a point, Cliff House offers great privacy and a nearby dock, tennis courts, and easy access to Boothbay Harbor. Perched at the ocean entrance to Maine's famous boating waterway, Townsend Gut, this classic coastal home has stunning views from every part of the property: from a wonderful great room (living and dining room with lots of space for games, puzzles, reading, Internet and movies); on a spacious front deck; from the cozy side porch and patio; to the welcoming Atlantic garden in the back. The afternoon sun warms the two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen is well-supplied and easy to use. Cliff House consistently charms visitors who are looking for a Maine cottage experience in a stunning setting.
Reservations are now being taken for May through mid October. Larger family gatherings are possible by renting other house(s) on the Point.
First floor provides two bedrooms (one queen bed and two singles), one full and one half bath. The second floor loft has a queen bed, a single bed and a three quarters bath with tub.
Community House with 4 red clay tennis courts and family activities is 400 yards up a quiet road. Parking for two cars. The cottage is universally loved by all guests for its charm, location and incredible view.

The cottage is wonderful, private, and close to the recreation of Juniper Point and the galleries, nature walks, boatyards, Library, YMCA, shops and restaurants we enjoy in town.

Our gardens are simple yet delightful; the deck offers the perfect place to catch up on reading, take a nap, or just watch the boats go by; the field down below is good for kicking a soccer ball or playing catch; the dock is great for swimming, fishing or sun-bathing; the tennis courts and Community House offer fun activities; and on foggy days we enjoy doing puzzles, catching up on the Internet,or touring Maine's coastal towns.

Our stay at Cliff House was too short! What a BEAUTIFUL, private location. We woke every morning and had our coffee watching the lobster boats go by on the wrap around porch - with one of the most amazing views in all of Maine! The kids loved the loft - and we walked to town every day - a stunning view around every corner. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Hello Rick and Kit, My re entry after a wonderful week @ Cliff House has been a transitioning one ! The view w/ my coffee this morning was no where near as inspiring as it was last week ! Where is the magestic view of Squirrel and Mouse Island w/the osprey and the lobster boats ? Needless to say, I loved staying @ your inviting, timeless cottage last week ! Your views are unsurpassed and the tranquility is transforming. Such a sensory experience ! It reminded me of the days we spent on Capitol Island as kids in the 50's ! And the loft brought back memories, too..how great to have a bathroom up there ! We also loved seeing your family photos and the wine was a very nice welcome, thank you! I celebrated my 60th birthday w/ family and friends throughout the week. All were awestruck and no one wanted to leave ! This is from a group of seasoned worldwide travelers and fellow renters of mountain retreats and seaside homes ! My daughter even stayed an extra day before heading back to NYC. The Cliff House location is truly representative of "God's country." I hope to get back there some day! Thank you for offering the opportunity to enjoy it ! Kathy

Our time at Cliff House was just the best. Thank you for the warm welcome and the very nice bottle of wine. It was a very friendlyl way to begin our vacation, and what a vacation! We had a great time! Cliff House is a WONDERFUL place! It is so comfortable and relaxing, and the view! WOW! It was the first time both of us to spent more than a day in the Boothbay area and it was well worth it. We loved the town and even more so we loved Cliff House! Every day was a decision, should we stay and enjoy the view, or go off and do some exploring. We did both. My cousin moved to town last summer, so we had someone to give us some guidance. Actually we saw quite a lot. But I think our most wonderful time was just enjoying the Cliff house. We have both been going full tilt taking care of our moms. So it was good to get away on our own. It really recharged our batteries.The biggest problem we had was getting ready to go home. I'm sure you know the feeling. Looking forward to next year! Thanks Rick and Kit

The Cliff House is a very comfortable, well-equipped cottage with a gorgeous ocean view. While drinking our morning coffee, we greatly enjoyed watching the "resident" ducks and the lobster men checking their traps. The cottage's huge picture window provides delightful sights at all times of day. Nearby attractions include the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden (gorgeous), Robinson's Wharf, and the Maine State Aquarium. Try Bridge Street Cafe (Boothbay Harbor) for a wonderful lunch or breakfast.

Thank you for an amazingly wonderful week at Cliff House! I have been to Boothbay Harbor many, many times over several years and the views from your cottage, perched on a cliff, surrounded by and so close to the water, is one of the best if not the very best. Sitting on your wonderful deck, watching the beauty of nature, enjoying the pine scented ocean breezes, and seeing all the sailboats and lobstermen pass so close provided such a relaxing, renewing vacation. Your cottage had everything anyone might need.
