  Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Palm Island Resort is a beautiful relaxing pristine island property. However;the unit 3213 needs attention.For instance,the dishwasher is very rusty. Several pieces inside the dishwasher were rusted completely.The kitchen entryway has a chunk of drywall missing.The rusted porch furniture-shabby tablecloth should be thrown out.The living room television was not working.The master bathroom shower drain must be clogged,as the shower was extremely slow to drain,and water filled the shower stall even on short 5 minute showers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Honnestly, love staying there. Seriously tired of the small thin framed long long haired girl who normally works in Cocunuts always having an attitude. With Everyone....everyone else is so helpful and nice and she is always rude and put-out by anyone in the store. Other than that - Things are great!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Palm Island Resort for one week a year for more than 20 years now. There are many great things about the resort - the incredible beach,the wildlife, the fishing, the pools, and the ability to get away from it all for a few days. However, to be fair, we have to say there are also a few things lacking at Palm Island lately - quality customer service being the main one. On our most recent stay (July 2012), we had rude service from a gentleman in the front office on 2 occasions plus an unfortunate disregard for a serious health concern. There was a water main break during our stay and the entire resort was without water for approximately 12 hours. After it was fixed, there was a boil-water order in effect, but no one was notified by the resort of the situation. The only notice was a flyer placed in the recreation office. No phone calls, no notices placed on our doors, etc. After we all found out many hours later...we heard another guest voicing her concern to the front office due to the fact that a person in their party was pregnant and not notified of the boil-water order. We found it disturbing that a health-related order would be handled with such disregard. The condominiums are usually nice but can vary in quality. As long as you're looking for a casual, family resort you will probably fall in love with the place. It has become a tradition for our family that we look forward to every year - even with a few glitches that we try to overlook.

The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love Palm Island. Will return next year Our 4th stay. Unit disappointing. Not clean. Mattresses & sofas very saggy. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect & everyone we met so friendly. Our favorite place to come & totally relax! The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In this unit, refrigerator would not stay shut, bar on frig door kept falling off,ice maker didn't work, oven and microwave very outdated and did not cook to correct temp. Very low water pressure in unit. Toilets barely flushed. Called maintenance but they never came or if they did, never fixed the problem. Very disappointed in the quality of this u it. Everywhere else was fabulous! Will not stay at this unit again! Needs lots of work and feels very crowded.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my 3rd visit. We love the complex, staff, location, etc. Unfortunately our unit was not good. I filled out a comment card. Many plumbing problems in the kitchen and guest bathroom. Badly (unsafe) rusted patio table. Would never rent this unit again. Was glad this was not my first stay - other units we've been wonderful.
