Nature waits to be visited, right outside the door, rockers on screened porches, cozy couches and chairs in the houses are perfect for curling up with a book, or for a snooze. Gather together to cook memorable meals, wander off by yourself to reconnect with what is truly important. The houses, which can be rented together for larger groups, or individually, if available, are wonderfully furnished with antiques and all contemporary amenities, satellite TV, book and video libraries, games, fine linens, down comforters and pillows, ceiling fans, and the grounds are glorious...from graceful gardens to the glories of the surrounding Los Padres National Forest. There are great hiking trails, ponds, streams for splashing, burros for skritching, peacocks for beauty, eggs to gather from our chickens, fruit on the trees for the picking, and a setting in nature that speaks of centuries of unique and restorative beauty.
