Villa Sea View with Pool & Jacuzzi 1200$/the Week

  I had been considering this villa now for two years and was never sure from the pics if the place was right for us. This year we vacationed with just the two of us and I was more than pleased with this villa. The review below is spot on. The pictures do not do it justice, This is a perfect size home for one or two couples. It has a master bedroom with a king bed and an upstairs bedroom with another full bathroom and queen bed. There is also a deck with an amazing view from the upstairs bedroom. The villa's good points are its value, the view, the size, the pool and jacuzzi, its outdoor living room and its location. It is in Les Jardins which is a great neighborhood way up in the hillside directly across from the entrance to Orient Bay. It is a gated neighborhood. Always felt very secure here. This is a very relaxing place. The trade winds constantly offer a beautiful tropical breeze which blow through the many tropical trees alongside of the villa. The seaview, while not commanding, is still dramatic. You have a direct view of Tintamare island from the deck. If the place needs any improvment at all I would say it just needs a little paint here and there and possibly a better king bed. The bed is very firm and drifts to the side a little. We're very used to firm beds but had a difficult time with this one. I found the bed upstairs to be more comfortable and enjoyed naps up there. But seriously, for the money this place is a tremendous value and Johann and his family are all very nice and helpful. The transaction was very easy and when our TV lost a signal one day Johann came right down and fixed it. You only get CNN and ESPN in english so maybe bring some DVDs if you feel the need to watch TV. Also, the wireless signal was flawless. I've rented a few villas before in this neighborhood and this is the first place where everything worked. The water pressure is awesome, hot water is hot, all mechanicals worked great. There is maid service every other day and pool service once a week. The villa is totally private in spite of the fact that there is a unit right next to it. It seems to be unoccupied and it may be owned by Johann's family. There was never anyone there as far as I could tell. Johann himself lives in a villa about 200ft behind and up from Costa del Sol and he is there if you need anything. We had a great time and would strongly consider this place again in the future!   My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week spent at Costa Del Sol ! The first thing I want to mention , because I don't want my point lost in the paragraph, is that the photos do not properly depict the beautiful views from the pool area! You actually have a much more panoramic view of Orient Bay, and an even better view from the upstairs balcony, than you can see in the pictures! There are also lovely views of the mountains, and surrounding homes , and banana trees, mango, allamanda, and Bougainville , are blooming everywhere! The pool area itself is very nice with a teak deck area and plenty of seating if you are in a group. There is also a shaded patio right off the living area. The pool itself is large and deep enough to swim laps in. For us, the outdoor living area was the focal point of the whole vacation experience at Costa Del Sol. After all, who comes to St Martin to stay indoors? However, the interior of the house, was inviting and well appointed! There is AC in living area and both bedrooms that adequately cooled all the rooms. The kitchen is large enough for several people to cook in, and there is a dishwasher and small washing machine. The oven itself is small, but the fridge and cooktop are full size. What impressed me most about the whole house was the fact that it was spotless! I didn't expect maid service, but a maid came every couple of days to clean and replace linens. The furnishings are not 5 Star Hotel quality, but the house is decorated with style! The beds were comfortable, and there is plenty of drawer and closet space. I even tested the upstairs bed for a nap one afternoon. My husband is not a fan of foam pillows, but I thought they were fine. There is one large flat screen TV in the living room, but not a lot of English channels. But again, who comes to St Martin to sit inside and watch TV all day? I can't end this review without telling you a bit about our experience with ZuZu and her family! I have read very positive comments about their professionalism and hospitality in other reviews on this site, and I agree with the high marks mentioned. We met Johann at his restaurant as we arrived, and took us to the house, and made sure we were comfortable. He must have noticed me struggling with the hot tub the next morning, and came over to make sure I knew how it operated! We also ate twice at his restaurant Rancho Del Sol, and had great shrimp and scallop pizza! Great vacation and villa!

  We were very pleased with the accommodations offered by this beautiful villa. The views from the deck were spectacular, the property inside and out very clean and attractive and the owners were most cordial and helpful when we had questions. Would recommend to anyone. The villa can be a romantic getaway or a perfect place for a family - the pool and hot tub a great addition and Orient Beach is gorgeous. Many good restaurants on the beach - zuzu's daughter's Palm Beach restaurant has delicious, healthy lunches at reasonable prices and her son's restaurant close by with good Mexican food.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  Great view! Pool and hot tub are nice, BRs large. Nice kitchen and living area. Pretty convenient to Orient Beach... I must advise that the driveway is a challenge to get up if it is wet from rain. Zuzu's son (very close proximity to us) actually got us up the morning we had to get to airport. Great villa for the value! Thanks!

  We loved our week in January with friends at this condo.....very clean and enjoyable to stay at! The view off the patio (which is large) is gorgeous and we used the hot tub morning and night. It truly is a highlight. Getting to the beach was fast and easy and the owner, Zuzu, was very welcoming and accomodating in every way. We are going back for another week in November - can't wait to get there!

  We stayed in this villa for 10 days after Christmas. The location was perfect - Up in the hills across from Orient Bay. The owners were very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. The house was the perfect size - nice common areas and big bedrooms. The pool and hot tub made a great addition. We brought our 2 small children and they had a ball. Thank you so much to Zuzu and Alan for the great place!
