Beautiful historic original cottage that brings you back to yesteryear. Third generation ownership with the cottage built in 1923 by our grandfather. Family owned and operated historically preserved with the minimum of modern conveniences to make this a vacation that your family will talk about for generations. The cottage is clean and well maintained but you will still have to wash your own dishes if you are not eating out. Hand painted murals and curtains, open beamed ceilings, a large kitchen and eating area with a large lakeside screened in porch ideal for big family gatherings truly define this Unit.
In this Cottage on the second floor there are two bedrooms with a set of double beds each and one bedroom with a set of bunk beds then there is a large sleeping porch with beautiful lakeside windows and four single beds. Our cottages all have nice sized living rooms with fire place and cable TV and internet access.
Down at the lake is a fire pit and sunning deck ideal for families to gather and enjoy the sun and fun, the kids can keep busy building sand castles and running in the water on 150 feet of beautiful sand beach frontage. We have a 110’ dock that gets you out on the lake that also has a nice sunning area. Our side of Glen Lake has a sandy bottom and a gradual incline so it is ideal for young children who may not be able to swim and is also great for those who enjoy swimming and playing in the water and for those who are just water bugs. Be prepared to grab a lawn chair and enjoy the beach, a book, and a glass of wine, a beautiful sunset and roasted marshmallows.

Year Purchased: 1923
About the owner: My grandfather on a summer field camp while he was an undergraduate at the University of Michigan in 1920 looked upon alligator hill from what is now known as Old Settlers Park, and fell in love with the beauty of Glen Lake he then purchased a 1000 feet of frontage. It was passed down to my father and now to me and my two brothers and one sister. Our family has certainly enjoyed Glen Lake throughout many many years.
