  WE HAD THE MOST RELAXING VACATION HERE IN F302. PAPKEA HAS BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS AND I BELIEVE ALL THE CONDOS HAVE A VEIW OF THE OCEAN, BUT THIS CONDO IS IN THE PERFECT BUILDING! OCEANFRONT, MEANS OCEANFRONT ! I BROUGHT MY TWO TEENAGERS HERE FOR SPRING BREAK. WE MADE THIS TRIP ABOUT FAMILY AND RELAXING ! WE ENJOYED ALL OF OUR MEALS HERE IN THE FULLY LOADED KITCHEN...AND ATE ON THE LANAI OR INSIDE IN THE DINING AREA.... EITHER WAY, WE HAD AN INCREDIBLE VIEW ! THE CONDO IS COMFORTABLE AND VERY INVITING. IT HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. THE LOCATION ON THE ISLAND IS GREAT; WE HAD FUN GOING TO A DIFFERENT BEACH EVERYDAY. THERE WAS GREAT COMMUNICATION WITH THE OWNERS. WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK HERE AGAIN ! WE GIVE THIS A BIG THUMBS UP ! MAHALO!

  We had a wonderful stay. Everything you could want was in the suite, the view was fantastic, and the grounds and amenities at the resort were kept immaculate. Noise and disturbance was minimal, and that's even with the fact that you have both older couples and full families there. The location is walking distance to everything you could need and just south of you is a long boardwalk that will take you all the way down to Black Rock and Whalers Cove if you don't mind the walk. And if the rain comes as you are on the edge of the rain shadow, you just have to pop down to Lahaina to have some fun until it passes. The suite could use a few more cleaning implements if you are there for a long stay and want to keep it clean, but other than that, it was absolutely perfect and we have no complaints at all about our wonderful time there.   We were appreciative to find the condo we rented exactly as described in the on-line literature and the owners always available to answer any questions that we had. We certainly would recommend this property to our friends and relatives...in fact, we hope to return with our family in the future. The green grass, the pounding surf, the pool areas, and the putting greens were never crowded. Since the property is centrally located, we found shopping and sight-seeing within easy access. Whaler's Village is an absolute must! For great dining, the Pineapple Grill is awesome.

  Overall AMAZING condo...felt like home from the moment that we drove up. Yes, there is construction on 3 of the buildings, but not in the area that this home is located, in fact because 3 of the buildings are being renovated there are even less people on the property. The sandy beach is all of 100 ft away, however we never swam in the waters here, but went up the road a bit. Very quite property, great pools/grounds, just VERY relaxing. There is a little mixed plate restaurant right outside, that is also very good for those nights you don't feel like cooking at home. Great location, great price, great house. We will be staying there in the future again. Every day, we saw 5-10 different sea turtles right outside the front of the condo...water very clear, so you could see everything. I can only imagine how wonderful it is during whale migrations. We have never rented on VBRO before and were initially concerned about "what if's" (property concerns, etc). There was NO concerns after we landed and stepped foot onto the property. The owners and property managers take great care with this place. You will also love it. This property is a little out of the "busy" island life (if there is such a thing in Maui), we found ourselves driving every day to different parts of the island. You are within 5 minutes of major hotels and about 10-15 from Lahaina (very busy). We found ourselves up on both ends of Maui more than at the hotel...we were about 15 minutes from the farthest you can go north and about 1.5 hours from the farthest south (but very nice drive). A car is needed if you are on this property. A must repeat for us...the only problem is that it looks like this property gets booked very far in advance. Keep that in mind...it is because it is QUALITY.

  You will not find a better oceanfront view & condo for the price! You don't have to be on the lanai or by a window to enjoy the ocean because you can see an amazing view from anywhere in the living room or kitchen. Beautiful! We were extremely happy with the condo. The king bed in the bedroom and the sleeper sofa were both very comfortable. We loved all of Papakea, including the lush landscaped grounds. It felt like home...or rather, I wish it was home! If you are looking for granite counter tops, brand new appliances, & an upgraded bathroom, then you will have to find that elsewhere for more money, but you will not be able to find a more dramatic and gorgeous view of the ocean that is only yards away. It was a short walk to parking, & there is a really good grocery store just down the street, as well as a few small restaurants. You could walk everywhere (if you wanted to). Although there's no sand beach right there, it's super fun to walk along the ocean at low tide, and sand beaches are within a short walking distance. We loved it and hope to return to the exact same condo again someday. Thank you!

  Papakea remains one of the best places to stay at West Maui. This unit was exceptionally nice: 3rd floor was great: all the walkers along the shoreline were below us. We watched LARGE sea turtles move across the ocean floor right from our balcony. Gorgeous grounds, excellent pools, super grounds people and staff, close grocery and food (Pizza Paradiso and Okasuyas (take-out place with the best Mahi-Mahi and teriyaki on the island). Why go into Lahaina? Spectacular sunsets, ocean breezes, sky filled with stars. Excellent beach-walking: 3 miles round trip to Black Rock and back. Modern, well appointed appartment; super-comfy bed; washer & dryer in unit. Easy-to-work-with owners. Why go anywhere else??? Very clean and well-maintained apartment, as well as general area. Felt safe walking around at night. Photos were representative of actual condo and grounds. Easy and cheap bus system to Whalers Village and downtown Lahaina without need of a car; just remember...this is Maui time....don't be in a hurry. Breakfast at Moose McGillicuddy's is a must. Super Bloody Marys (can be without vodka) and fried rice a tradition. Beach and pool area around Papakea are very kid-friendly and excellently-maintained bar-b-qs. Just do it!

  We had a great time on Maui and at the Papakea. We really appreciated all the extras that we usually have to purchase like dish soap, laundry soap, foil, plastic wrap and things like beach shoes, beach chairs, an umbrella, ice packs and a cooler was even there. We didn't find the games until the last day - fun stuff. The bed was really comfortable and the pull out bed too was nice for our daughter. Thanks again.

  Clean one bedroom condo right on the water. Enjoy surfers by day and beautiful sunsets at night. Equipped with just about anything you might need for cooking (heaven forbid) or entertainment, you will be close to shopping, dinning, golf and sight seeing. The resort is more family friendly than most as parking is nearby and activities are available for all ages. Non-smoking and no pets which we liked. Attentive owner is very helpful and quick to respond to your communication.
