We rented this property for a week leading up to and during our daughter's wedding. The space was restful and spacious. We were even able to store the fresh flowers as well as do all the flower arranging in one of the rooms -- a lovely sun porch. Our hosts provided all the amenities we could possibly need -- including a small washer-dryer combo. Both beds had excellent mattresses and sufficient pillows and the closets were well-stocked with hangers (thank you!) We were able to have our daughter and son-in-law over for two meals as well as host family members for a meal as they were leaving town. And it was equally easy to pop out to Grand Ave for a meal or a croissant to add to breakfast. We recommend this property highly. (Although the outside looks decrepit at the moment as it goes through some restoration, the inside is spotless, bright and welcoming.)Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We enjoyed staying on Portland Avenue on a windy fall Minnesota weekend. We saw the marathon pass by from the window! Shopping, eating and access to twin cities were all part of the great location. Recommended to anybody who likes to walk, shop and go to yoga like we do! Gracious hosts who put the heat on for the chilly Texans staying abov them...thanks Avery!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We felt very much at home at this property. It is clear that the owners put a lot of thought into the rehab and redecoration, with all the modern decor and interesting features. It is at the intersection of a very quiet street with larger old homes, and a slightly busier street which leads to the restaurant/shopping area. It was quiet, and we felt very safe, and had fun walking a few blocks each day/night to coffee shops, restaurants, drug store, shops, etc. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We had never spent any time in Minneapolis / St Paul. This was our first experience. What beautiful cities! Our accommodations were superb. The apartment is roomy and comfortable. The location is within easy walking distance to all sorts of ammenities. We were provided with everything that we could need. The two bedrooms were lovely and cool with a breeze coming in from all directions. There was certainly no need for air conditioning while we were there, The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Thank you for a lovely stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Had a wonderful stay in this spacious apartment, which includes a living room, kitchen, and dining room in addition to its two bedrooms and two baths. The place was very clean and had an impressive array of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, two flatscreen TVs, a washer-dryer, and kitchen cabinets well-stocked with glassware, silverware, etc. Would definitely book again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

Great place to stay while visiting the Twin Cities. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood -- easy walking to restaurants, short drive to downtown St Paul and Minneapolis. The flat itself is clean and comfortable. The owners have furnished it with everything you could possibly need during your stay. We truly enjoyed relaxing here after our days out and about in the city. The only complaint we have is from my 6'4" son -- it is an older home, built for shorter people -- he had to duck whenever walking through a doorway!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

This was a vey nice experience. The apartment was a great accommodation for my family of 4. The beds were comfortable and the designer furniture was a fun touch to the experience. The location was walking distance to Grand Avenue which was perfect for us! Avery was helpful and friendly. I also love that everything was labeled and instructions were easy to find for the television and for wifi.Recommended for: Families with young children.

This was our first trip to St Paul (vs. Minneapolis), this was a perfect spot for my wife and adult daughter to viist our son and his family in a nearby suburb. This listing is dead-on, the unit is clean, well maintained and is perfectly located for those who like to walk and take in this part of the city. The law school is right across the street and anyone coming for a week or so, this would be a perfect spot - tons of local restaurants and a few chains as well to serve your palate. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone - many thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

Punch Pizza View on map
There isn’t a place in the world where pizza is more ingrained in the culture than Naples. It is, after all, where pizza was born. That includes firing your pizza in a wood-burning oven to a blistering 800 degrees. Punch utilizes the same centuries-old techniques that Neapolitan masters use to create a truly authentic pizza. The world’s finest San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and top-secret dough form the foundation of the pizza, but the true craft is in mastering the wood fired oven.

Birchwood Cafe View on map
There's a lot in the Birchwood name. Established in 1926 by the Bursch family, the cafe was originally a dairy. In the 1940's, Cy and Del Bursch converted the dairy into a neighborhood grocery, which quickly became an essential part of neighborhood life. Food staples, penny candy and neighborhood news established the Birchwood as a favorite meeting place and after-school hangout. In 1995, Cy and Del handed the Birchwood Store over to us and once again the Birchwood was reborn, this time as the Birchwood Cafe. Keeping the traditions of freshness and community alive, we made the Birchwood a friendly place to find good food and good people. Thirteen years (and counting!) later, the Birchwood is not just for neighbors anymore

Coffee News Cafe View on map
Coffee News Cafe began its life in downtown Minneapolis, MN on Nicollet Mall in 1996. We are open 363 days a year from 7:00 a.m until 11:00 p.m.!!! Plan accordingly!!! We serve breakfast until 2 p.m. every single day! The concept was one that a person could quickly come in and get the best cup of coffee, a sandwich, a bakery item and a smile in no time at all. Peter Kelly was doing it all. Roasting the coffee, working the counter, delivering catered lunches to the downtown businesses that quickly became return customers. The city of Minnepolis had bigger and better ideas for the block between 9th St. and 10th street. (i.e. more money to make) So after only a year and a half in business, we were told
