St. Teresa Beach is located off Highway 98 and is not visible from the highway. St. Teresa Avenue will bring you to our home and the private beach community of St. Teresa. You will have covered parking when you arrive.
This is a two bedroom, one bath, duplex home with a large living area and plenty of workable counter space in the kitchen. In the corner of each bedroom, outside the bathroom, is a lavatory and mirror. There is an enclosed outside shower after a day of enjoying the beach. If you have a baby, there is a crib and changing table in the corner of the guest bedroom. There are fans and TVs in every room. It is well furnished for both relaxing or entertaining. With two dining tables and the kitchen bar, you could easily have dinner for ten. It is 1650 sq. ft., heated and cooled area, with front and back screened porches.
We sleep a maximum capacity of 6 people and a baby in the crib. Our cleaning fee is based on that maximum. If you have overnight guests over the maximum of six, the cleaning fee will increase to $150.00.
The large, screened, front porch is perfect for breakfast at sunrise or a sunset dinner, or just enjoying the ocean view with a good book. The are celing fans on the porch. Alligator Point can be seen across the water and Dog Island is accessible by boat.
St. Teresa Beach is approximately 3 miles long and we are located close to the middle with 1 1/2 miles of wide, beautiful white beach both east and west of us. The beach is approximately 100 feet from the front steps of the home. (If you will refer to the pictures, you can determine the distance of the house from the beach). The beach is perfect for walking anytime, but especially when the tide is low and the sandbars are out. It is wonderful for children to play or explore the small sea life in the pools of water at low tide. There are no deep areas and no undertow, which makes it perfect for small children.
You can surf fish in front of our home or if you have your own boat, there are several boat landings available to you. If it is not a holiday, there are bouys you can hook up to in front of the property.
You can enjoy a bounty of delicious fresh, local seafood in a restaurant or take home to prepare yourself. Some of the local restaurants will cook the seafood you catch for a reasonable price. Check with the individual restaurants.
All of the following are local attractions within 30-45 minutes from our home:
St. George Island is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Apalachicola Bay. St. George Island State Park is located at the end of the island and is regularly rated one of Florida's most beautiful beaches. The Annual Chili Cook-off and Auction is held each year around March on the island.
Apalachicola is a quaint, historical town located west of St. Teresa. It has many beautiful, old homes, unique shopping and great restaurants with wonderful fresh seafood. Apalachicola is the home of The Florida Seafood Festival, usually held in November.
St. James Bay Golf Course is located four miles from our home and is an 18-hole championship course. The clubhouse includes The Crooked River Grill Restaurant, tennis courts, and swimming pool.
Ochlocknee River State Park has picnic facilities, a swimming area, boat ramp and an abundance of wildlife. The park is great for canoeing and fishing.
Gulf Specimen Marine Laboratory is located in Panacea and is open to visitors. It features 30,000 gallon marine aquarium with hundreds of species of marine life. Children can have hands on experience with some of the sea creatures.
Wakulla Springs State Park is the home of one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world. Riverboat tours and glass bottom boat tours are available. Wakulla Springs Lodge has a full-service dining room.
St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to bird watch and check out an old lighthouse built in 1831. And, of course, there are always Alligators!
Mexico Beach is approximately one hour and you can be in Panama City in two hours.
If you are bored with the wonderful peace and quiet St. Teresa offers, you can always visit Tallahassee, The Capitol of Florida and the home of the Florida State Seminoles for a little more action. Tallahassee is one hour away, with great shopping and wonderful restaurants. Not to mention -- it is a beautiful city!

May 10th thru May 16th, 2011. A beautiful home and direct beach access, wonderful views, beach was great! Quiet and peaceful, best vacation I've ever had!! Dog and cat loved it too! Cat had the best time birdwatching and soaking up the sun on screened in porch, dog spent a lot of time swimming in the ocean trying to catch the seagullls--she was too fat to be sucessful, but had fun trying. We arrived rather late the first day and Vickie brought us an awesome chicken casserole for dinner. Truly wonderful folks to rent from, my sister and I look forward to returning. Thanks again!!

I love bringing my family to St. Teresa. This is the second year we have rented this property. And we'll continue to rent it as long as it's availble. It is roomy and very comfortable. Not to mention being right on the beach. We love this place.
