We stayed at the apartment during MIPCOM, a huge international TV market, and were sad that we couldn't have more free time to explore the wonderful neighborhoods -- but what a nice place to rest and rejuvenate! Every morning we woke to pink skies over the Mediterranean, with a view of huge cruise ships in the harbor, and at night the lights twinkled in the city's busy streets in the distance. The apartment is quiet and charming, with everything we needed, and only a short walk to markets and fabulous restaurants. It's well-ventilated, sparkling clean, spacious and yes, luxurious. It's true that the building is on a hill, so it is not handicapped-friendly, but for us we felt virtuous walking off those morning croissants and evening glasses of wine. The caretakers don't speak much English - like most of the citizens of Cannes - but drove us to and from the airport helped us in every way. Thank you to the owners for sharing their home with us, and thank you to VRBO.

Beautiful Place in Cannes
Beautiful Place in Cannes
Our family of four (with two teenaged sons) stayed in this apartment in August, 2011. It is a beautifully remodeled apartment and very clean. We had plenty of room and the view from the living area is spectacular. The owners/managers thought of everything. There were towels for our use on the beach, snacks, a notebook with information about the area and even slippers. An iron and hair dryer were also available. The TV had some English channels. You do need to walk up a slight hill to get to the apartment but it was worth it - if the apartment was not on a hill you would not have the great views of the water. The daily market was amazing and a short walk from the apartment. We found such great food there that we cooked dinner in the apartment most nights. We rented chairs on the beach each day and the walk to that beach was about 10 to 15 minutes. There are closer beaches but without chairs. The managers gave us a ride to and from the airport for a reasonable fee and that was quite convenient. They were also very nice and helpful - even taking us for a quick tour of the area before dropping us off at the apartment. You do not need to rent a car to stay here. We walked everywhere and the train and bus stations are quite close. It was so nice to be in such a lovely and well-managed place.

My husband and I visited Cannes for a week at the beginning of October. Usually, I don’t bother writing a review but we had such a fantastic time at Villa Corbelle that I felt impelled to tell others about it – especially as picking apartments on these websites can often be pot-luck! The period apartment is beautiful inside with high ceilings and fabulous sea view, an en-suite bathroom and a superb kitchen, which was very handy on the nights we decided to stay in. It was also spotlessly clean with fresh linen and towels provided, as well as being very secure and fully air-conditioned. Centrally positioned, the apartment is literally a 5 minute stroll down to the beach, bars, restaurants, la Croisette and the Congress Centre, so there was no need to take the car or hire taxis. The owner was exceptionally helpful and the booking process was both quick and efficient. We will definitely be returning next year and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in an extremely well appointed luxury apartment in Cannes.

A Wonderful Experience
A Wonderful Experience
I visited Cannes with my husband for the first time in July. We were very fortunate to have Villa Corbelle recommended to us by relatives who had stayed there previously. What a joy it was for us to be met at the airport by Marie Noelle ( property manager ) and taken to this fabulous apartment which was to be our home for two weeks. The apartment was impeccable, there were fresh flowers and a beautiful bottle of wine waiting for us on our arrival. The views from the lounge were breathtaking on that memorable July evening. It was exactly as described on the website. The photographs on the website are a true reflection of this haven of peace and luxury right in the heart of Cannes ... the playground of the rich and famous. Its proximity to the theatres, croisette, beaches, restaraunts, markets and shopping was exactly what we needed. We walked every place. After days of pure relaxation on the beach, we strolled back to our beautiful air-conditioned apartment, threw open the shutters and let the scent of the lemon trees from the garden below waft through the house. We indulged ourselves in the many culinary delights of the superb restaraunts in The Suquet ( Old Quarter) and The Croisette ... recommendations which were available to us in the apartment. We have booked our return trip for next year, we just loved the space, the views, the convenience and the absolute luxury of this apartment. We would highly recommend it to anybody looking for that special holiday with a difference.

Luxury by the Sea
Luxury by the Sea
Our first visit to Cannes was during the summer and we were so lucky to have chosen Villa Corbelle for our accommodation. It is ideally located in the centre of Cannes and within minutes walking distance of the beach, restaurants, food markets and all amenities . The apartment is beautifully decorated to the highest standard with all mod cons. The photos on the site are a true reflection of the property and it is a gem of luxury and comfort. The owner was at all times most helpful and even had a list of restaurants left out for us to enjoy. We hired a car while we were there but because we were so ideally situated we did not need to use it. The bus and train station are beside you and we travelled to Montecarlo for a memorable day out. This apartment is a fabulous holiday location and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a time of luxury and bliss.

I travelled to Cannes in June with my 2 friends. We are professionals in our early 30s & were looking forward to a good break. What we met when we arrived at the apartment far exceeded our expectations. The apartment was big and spaceous and with the high ceilings and tall windows was full of light. The view down to the sea was delightful. We hired a car as we wanted to explore the Cote D'Azur however while in Cannes did not use it. As advertisied, the apartment is only a few minutes stroll from the Croisette. The week we were there the advertising festival was on so the Croisette was a hive of activity. However it was great to look around and then wander back to our peaceful apartment and relax with the shutters open in the reclining chairs and sofa. The beds were extremely comfortable and the cascading tropical shower in my en-suite was an extra pleasure we weren't expecting. In the mornings on the way to the Croisette we came aross a market selling fresh bread, fruit, cheeses, meats etc. It was great to be able to avail of this while still enjoy the delights of the restaurants on the Croisette - recommendations for which we had found in the apartment. The linen was new and perfectly clean and while we had brought our own towels, there were towels left out for our use in the apartment also. Overall I would rate my experience very highly. I would usually stay in high quality hotels but the space and luxury of this apartment means I will return again to stay there as I had such a fantastic experience.

Why the Owner Chose Cannes:
My family and I have been holidaying in France for many years and it was always a dream of ours to purchase our own home in The South of France and ultimately we realized that dream. After looking at many properties we finally found the Jewel In The Crown. It has been a labour of love ever since in restoring and refurbishing it to its former glory. We love the location because of what it offers to us and everything we enjoy. The beautiful Bright Blue Skys and sunshine of Autumn,Spring and Summer and the excellent skiing in the Winter ( One Hours Drive ) We love the surrounding villages and of course our occasional day trips to Monaco and St. Tropez. We enjoy the many Golf Courses which are located very close to us. It is truly our Paradise.
