This fully furnished, non-smoking cabin home is nestled in a dense forest with lots of privacy. Relax and unwind in your private hot tub under the towering pines. Bed linens and bath towels are provided at no extra cost.

The upper floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Master bedroom has king-size bed, TV, and phone and access to the hot tub. One of the upstairs bedrooms has two sets of bunkbeds and the other has a queen-size bed. The living room area has woodburning stove, TV, DVD/VCR, phone, and access to decks and patio. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, blender, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.

The lower floor sleeps three. It has one bedroom with a very comfortable queen & Xtra Long twin-size bed, laundry room, and garage. The large private deck has a nice view and is equipped with a charcoal BBQ and deck furniture.

When Summertime arrives, as guests at our cabin, you'll have Twain Harte Lake privileges, a wooded 17 acre lake with a large sandy beach, swimming, snack shack and fishing for kids.

The NEW Black Oak Indian Casino is just a 15 minute drive away.

Each season has it's own characteristics in Twain Harte:
* Winter - Twain Harte gets an occasional snow storm but the snow will usually melt away in a few days. Popular activities include Skiing and Snowboarding at Dodge Ridge and Tubing and Sledding at Leland High Sierra Snow Play.

* Spring - In early Spring the weather warms up and is a quiet time to visit the Motherlode area. Wildflowers are abundant, the lower foothills turn a beautiful green. The waterfalls, rivers and creeks full of Spring snow melt can be spectacular. Dodge Ridge will usually stay open for Skiing through Easter.

* Summer - Twain Harte's ideal elevation of 3,800 ft is above the valley heat. Twain Harte is popular with repeat visitors in the summer, so early booking is advised.

* Fall - The weather cools off around October and the Oak, Dogwood, Aspen, and Maples Trees turn to vibrant colors.

  • Thank you for a wonderful family vacation in your spacious home at Twain Harte. We appreciated all the deck areas, the very comfortable beds, and all the comforts provided. The spa was great and we loved that we could use "The Lake". Twain Harte is just as it was 20 years ago. Everyone enjoyed the swimming, floating, digginig and general relaxing around the lake. It is a very friendly and accommodating place to be with family.
