Campeche estate description
Located in one of Campeche's largest and most historic homes in the World Heritage Site Historic Center, this beautiful and relaxing Garden Home was created for those wishing to experience one of Mexico's most delightful and best preserved colonial cities, with spectacular Gulf Coast views and sunsets. This Garden Home Suite has a huge interior patio off of the entrance, two ample bedrooms, one with King Size hand made wrought iron bed, the second with two single beds that can also be converted into a King bed, two large new bathrooms, living room with 40' flat panel satellite TV, Wi-Fi network & more. The huge, 600 sq ft open air patio serves as a kitchen, dining area and deck, fully furnished, with a beautiful tropical garden behind it. Although in the center of the city, you will have a tranquil and peaceful environment away from traffic noise. Within walking distance of the main square (Zocalo), the Cathedral, the original 17th century city walls built to keep the pirates out, and the oceanfront Malecon, where all of Campeche congregates starting in the early evening to observe sunsets over the Gulf. Seafood and other restaurants, cafes and colorful shops are within a few blocks. Parking is readily available just across the street, and Campeche is known to be the safest city in Mexico. The Garden Home has a basic weekly rental rate of $US800--. Extra nights are pro-rated at the weekly rates, and some peak holiday periods have a slightly higher rate. We recently added a swimming pool and barbecue in the garden area of the home. Visits of less than 7 days are welcome when we can fit them into the schedule.
Mayan pyramids, sport fishing, boating and other recreational areas all nearby. Owners live just a few blocks away and also operate an exclusive ladies boutique in the same estate, and are available to assist with information or any other services you may require.
NOTE: We now have a complete photo album of this beautiful Garden Home available upon request.

There is nothing to dislike about this lovely home. It is huge, and simply charming. Your biggest challenge will be deciding which bedroom, or bathroom to use. It is decorated beautifully, and very clean. You can't beat the location. The heart of the city is right there, with many restaurants, and a lot to do, right at your front door. It was awesome after a day out, to take a dip in the pool. It's a lot larger than it appears in the pictures. The owners check in often, to make sure everything is perfect. We will definitely be returning.

Owner response: Many thanks for your comments and support! We also enjoyed having you visit, especially since we know you visit Mexico every year. You and others may like to know that we took advantage of a few idle days this week to refresh the decor and furnishings of the home, so it is now more beautiful than ever!
Beautiful Home in a Wonderful Colonial City
Beautiful Home in a Wonderful Colonial City
My husband and I, along with another couple, spent 8 wonderful days in this beautiful home in the center of the colonial historic quarter. The apartment reflects the beautiful Spanish Colonial architecture which has given the city its UNESCO designation . Enjoyed the way the home is set up to allow indoor/outdoor living and pool, garden was enjoyed daily. Steve and Emy really looked after us and the apartment had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is located close to the main plaza and of course the malecon which we enjoyed nightly. We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic place to stay in the old city
Fantastic place to stay in the old city
When my family and I arrived at the house we were greeted by the owners personally who showed us every detail of the property and gave us recommendations on what to do while there. The house is absolutely beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. Staying in a beautifully restored colonial house vs. a hotel is no comparison. There is so much within walking distance that we only got in the car once the whole time we were there. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend a visit if you get the chance.

Owner response: Thanks for much for your kind words and for taking the time to write. we are sure it will help others understand the many attractions of this unique and historic property! we hope to welcome you again soon to our rental properties in Campeche and Merida!
My partner and I had a fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment in the center of the colonial historic quarter. The apartment is part of an original classic colonial building, with original beams and pasta tiled floors. Although located centrally, we were surprised at how quiet the apartment was.....all sites and restaurants are within walking distance and the old town has a great feel. Steve and Emy really looked after us and the apartment has all we needed for a comfortable stay. The patio and garden at the rear of the property was where we spent most of our time before walking along to the main plaza for an evening drink overlooking the square Campeche at its best

About the owner: Owners are experienced property developers of beachfront land along the coast of Campeche, and have several beautifully renovated rental properties in the region, all personally managed and maintained. This is our second rental home in Campeche, and we added it because the first one is always occupied with a waiting list! Another reason is that Campeche is a unique historic, colonial city, and there was really nothing of quality in the furnished rental category besides our other home. We furnish, decorate and maintain all our homes to the same exacting standards we have in our own residence.
Why the Owner Chose Campeche:
We had the chance to purchase this unique and historic home, with a 200 year history, that still had beautiful original French tile floors, huge wood beam ceilings etc. It was an opportunity not to be missed.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
This Garden Home is best enjoyed to experience the charms of Campeche's historic quarter and other attractions in the area, such as Mayan pyramids, sport fishing, boating, nature and sightseeing. You'll see why Campeche is fast becoming one of the Yucatan's most favorite vacation and residential destinations.
