  The first thing I noticed stepping out of the car upon arrival was that wonderful smell of mountain pines.This cabin is the perfect peaceful mountain getaway. The cabin is well laid out and very comfortable with several decks to choose from. The totally fenced one acre is great for the dog and kids. The setting makes you feel you are in a remote mountain retreat, yet actually civilization is only a few miles away. It is the best of both worlds. As we were there at the peek of a heat wave in the middle of the summer, the weather in the mountains was great especially early and late in the day. Sandia peak is only a few miles away and offers even cooler summer days and spectacular views and trails. If you want the mountain life this is the place.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

  Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving which will be a treasured family memory. The drive up to Sandia Peak is well worth it and we didn’t have nearly enough time to explore the trails nearby. I already have a list of thing we need to come back to do! It snowed on Thanksgiving morning (a novelty to us Texans) and the kids had a great time playing in it. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. Thanks again!

  What a beautiful magical place! Thank you for sharing this space with our family. It was perfect as a romantic honeymoon night, and a perfect family celebration weekend. It was even more perfect because we were able to celebrate with our whole family; 2 legged kids as well as the 4 legged ones too! Count on us staying again in the future! Thanks again.

  Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your wonderful home! Your property is beautiful. It was a safe haven for our children, who loved exploring within the safety of the gates, (what a pleasant surprise!)   I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the opportunity to use your cabin this last weekend. As a newly married couple, it was a perfect retreat from the "real world" for the first night and day. Once our family joined us, it became an amazing environment to just have fun and relax. Our kids, both the 2 legged and 4 legged ones, throughly enjoyed the sanctity of the yard and the ability to be out in nature for the weekend. I have *never* seen our Husky cross actually worn out before. :)
