  My family--2 grandparents, me, my husband and girls ages 2 and 4 stayed here in December 2012. The house was great for everyone. It was clean and well-maintained and is as it appears in the photos.. We made meals at home and ate in the terrace dining and living room, which was a really nice area to hang out in and for the kids to play in. It was quick to drive to the rain forest, the beach and the nature preserve in Fajardo. Marcos was extremely helpful with directions and getting us settled. The house even had toys we could borrow for a day at the beach!

  This was the perfect home for our family of 4. Up the hill from the popular Tourist beach location of Luquillo. Around the way from the El Yunque Rain Forest. Wonderful view from the balcony. All pictures are exactly like they are shown. Gated community, secure w/ extremely friendly neighborhood dogs (Lulu was our favorite). Property Managers were top notch and extremely friendly. Truly good people and willing and able to help with any needs. All electronic items worked, including A/C units in both rooms. Perfect location for those who want to experience more from Puerto Rico than just San Juan metropolitan area, but still close enough for trips to San Juan. Our best experience in Puerto Rico, and I am originally from there. Do recommend for families and for couples or groups of friends. Satellite television on three T.V's, excellent, excellent, excellent, cant express more how great this location is. We definitely will book again for our next annual trip.

  Weather is great except for a few stray showers. We liked the nice dogs that hang out nearby and let everyone know when someone is in the neighborhood. It takes a day or so to get used to all the sounds of the neighborhood in the rain forest (chickens/roosters/frogs/birds/dogs/...) but after a while, it is like a tropical concert. Luquillo Beach is phenomenal as are the Kioskos next door. A trip to Naguabo is required (for the seafood). If you want to be constantly on the beach, find another place but this is a great place if you don't mind driving less than 10 minutes to the beach and then heading up the hill to your spot in the tropical concert. We did some nice walks in the gated community with the tropical trees. Great views of El Yunque as you are on its doorstep. It is very convenient to bike ride or drive up into El Yunque National Forest that is quite the park to visit. The patio/porch is where you will hangout with a view of trees and the ocean that is about 2 miles away. The place was clean and the owner and "concierge" were very helpful including helping with tools for the bike, a pointer to Naguabo, and details like exactly when to go up to El Yunque.

  We had a great time at this house, everything we needed was there, I especially liked the new hammock on the porch, to lay there and fall asleep to the view of the ocean was the highlight of my trip, we actually spent most of the time we were at the house outdoor on the veranda. We were there for Xmas and the tree and the lights made it feel homey and the little doggy neighbors made us feel welcome everytime we pulled up to the house. We even gave one a shampoo bath on Xmas morning. The owner and property manger were great in welcoming us and making sure our needs were met. Thakn you so much for making our holiday stay a pleasant one!

  My husband and I traveled with our 6-month-old baby and the house was great for us -- a little outside of town (quiet), with beautiful (!) views, a full kitchen and an AMAZING patio we enjoyed a lot. The patio is shaded all day long and beautifully lit at night with white Christmas lights. It was a fantastic place to have a drink, play dominoes, etc., when our baby was asleep. Luquillo is a great option for people who don't want to deal with the "resort scene." The beaches are wonderful and the town is laid-back. Because of our 6-month-old, we cooked and ate-in quite a bit, shopping at the nearby Amigo. The kioskos in Luquillo were great for eating, too. We had a fabulous (albeit a little spendy) lunch at #2. As for the beaches, there are two we liked for different reasons. Playa Azul is great -- you find a spot next to it on the road and there you are. No frills, no services, but fun times. Monserrate (the Balneario owned by the government, near the kioskos) was great for us. It's $4.30 to get in, and then another $1 per adult (50 cents for a kid) to use the bathhouse, which was clean and well-maintained. There are a couple of stands selling food and drinks, making it a place you can literally park yourself at all day. The water is calm and clear, and several people were snorkeling right off the beach. Awesome! We also loved our day trip to El Yunque and recommend that to people as well. The hike to La Mina Falls is beautiful, as are the views from the top of Yokahu Tower. We were very happy with our decision to rent this property in Luquillo. It's just a short drive from the amazing beaches, up on a hill that overlooks a valley, the town and the water. The property matched the photos in the listing, although both the view from the villa and the patio were even better than they appear in those photos! Alana (the rental contact) was very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely recommend this to family and friends! We hope to return, and can't wait to do all the things in the area our baby made it hard to do (zip line tours, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.).

  Our family of five will remember with delight the many hours spent on the beautiful balcony from which we could see the mountains and the ocean, and hear the coqui frogs at night. An indescribable view! Neighboring houses are near by, but not that close. Such a restful,clean spot to return to after our day trips, with the comforts of home. A great place from which to explore the many attractions of the northeast part of the island (Old San Juan, El Yunque, Bioluminescent Bay, Fajardo - snorkeling and ferries, etc.). The nearest beach was picturesque, and, like the very up-to-date grocery store, a very short drive from the house. A few roosters made our sleepy college kids wake up early, and the community pool looked a bit forlorn in the off season, but overall, everything went very well. Alana, the contact facilitator, was superb - she went all out to ensure our stay was awesome!

  We enjoyed our stay last week! Alana was enormously helpful and always available to answer any questions we had. The villa was comfortable with nice beds and a great terrace with a beautiful view of Luquillo. My only suggestion for improvement would be for the addition of a dishwasher. We did prepare many meals while we were there and would have liked to have one. Other than that, the villa was just perfect and we look forward to returning to beautiful Puerto Rico as soon as we can!!

  This was a wonderful experience. The villa is spotlessly clean, completely furnished with kitchen equipment, towels, beach chairs, cooler, everything for a relaxed vacation. In a quiet community where everyone smiles and says hello. Alana was a fantastic "hostess", offering advice, directions, personal introduction to the surrounding town, shopping, and sights. Luquillo has amazing beaches and the rest of the island is easily accessible - we liked being out of the 'tourist zone.' Only one problem - I think the fish in the aquarium are lonesome, there are only two! We'll be back!
