  Thank you Carmen and Robert for providing a clean, beautiful apartment for us! Our stay was amazing. The apartment came equipped with everything we needed and more. We never felt unsafe in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying for a week or longer. However, if you are only visiting NY for a few days, I would recommend a closer location. We didn't mind the subway ride since we visited for about a week, but it did take about 40-50 minutes to get into Times Square area in Manhattan. But the subway system is amazing and it's super close to the apartment. I would definitely rent from Carmen and Robert again. They called to make sure everything was okay. And even when I told them the DVD player was broken, they came by and dropped off a new one! Thanks again for everything!

  We travelled with our two boys 11 and 14 years old and stayed there for 6 days 7 nights. Rob greeted us promptly and brought a brand new computer to the apartment to make sure we have computer access. The apartment has very fast WIFI internet, spacious and all the amenities. We brought the 7 days subway passes and made the money back in three days. We also had New York passes and they were great way to explore NY. Rob took us to China town the next day and explained where all the yummy foods are. He checked on us middle of our vacation to make sure we were OK. Rob even drove us to get a rental car from the airport. We had lots of fun shopping in woodbury common premium outlet and drove ourselves to airport on our last day of stay. Overall, Rob treated us more like a friend than a customer; we had a very good experience staying in his apartment.

  The apartment is quite large and comfortable, with a fully equiped kitchen, PC with internet connection and all. The subway is quite near and there are all sorts of shops for everything you might need. And the owners are quite nice!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

  We got to NY on the second of October and we lived in Robert's apartment for a week. It is a great apartment, it is clean, close to the subway and the neighbourhood is safe and quite.Robert was very very nice and helpfull.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

  The apartment was very clean with comfortable beds. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The apartment is a block away from the subway. It was close to a deli/grocery, restaurants, and a drug store. It is just as advertised. We really appreciated having the a/c. It was very hot when we went so being able to cool off was fantastic! Having a computer with internet and WIFI was very helpful. We were able to look up subway stops and maps of where we wanted to go as we are not at all familiar with the area. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visitng New York!

  I recently stayed at this apartment for ten days and found both the apartment itself and the owners (Robert and his wife Carmen) to be excetional. The apartment itself is exactly as advertised. Very spacious, clean, and newly renovated. After a busy day of touring the City I found it to be very relaxing to cook for myself and watch one of the many great movies DVDs they have in the apartment. It was well appointed. Everything you will need to enjoy your vist while you are there was in the apartment (including an iron and ironing board!). The beds are cozy and comfortable. Location wise it is in an interesting and lively neigborhood. The subway is literally five minutes away from the apartment, with great service into Manhattan. I rode the train at all hours and never had a problem and never once did I feel unsafe. Robert and Carmen went out of thier way to make me feel at home. My flight was delayed so i didn't even get into the City until 1.30 in the morning, yet they came to pick me up and take me right to the apartment. Similarily, the morning I left they picked me up super early and dropped me off right at the Port Authority so I could take a bus out to the airport. Logistics wise, the one thing I would recommend if you plan on staying at this apartment - and I recommend that you do! I am certainly coming back! - is that, if possible, fly into La Guardia or JFK. I booked my tickets late and had to go into Newark ... a lot farther trip. Overall I thought the property was excellent and Rob and his wife are two of the nicest people one could hope to meet. I am already planning my next visit!!! Darren

  Three friends and myself were looking last minute for a place to stay at when I came across this gem. We had about 48hours before we left for New York from Toronto, Canada and needed a place urgently and Robert was AMAZING. Not only did he offer the place to us but he went above and beyond to make sure everything was good when we arrived in Brooklyn a day after I initially spoke to him. He not only provided us with a ride to the house from Pen Station, but he gave us a neighbourhood tour and showed us all the nearest train stations as well as pharmacies, food spots and even took us to a grocery store the morning we arrived. The place was very clean and very spacious. The beds felt like heaven (literally), the pullout sofa was a fabulous bonus and everything that was needed to make us feel at home was in the apartment. Its located in a very fun and lively negihbourhood in Brooklyn where everyone was so friendly. It was only about 15 minutes by the train to lower Manhattan near Canal street to all the wonderful sites and shopping areas. We loved our stay so much that we all have agreed that whenever we travel to New York Robert's place would be where we would like to stay. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE who wants to feel at home, safe and secure in a new country, city or state, and anyone who wants to experience the best of what New York has to offer.
