This newly updated Victorian located in the coastal Harbor Shores neighborhood of artsy, historic South Norwalk (SONO) is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for a quick, quiet and convenient Connecticut escape. It makes an excellent executive rental, romantic getaway or family vacation. The three level home has hard wood floors throughout, stainless appliances, and is decorated with a nautically inspired New England flair. The kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom/laundry are on the first level. Two bedrooms and bathroom are on the second level, and the oversized master is the entire third floor.
The home is located at the end of a small, quiet dead end street that ends at the Long Island Sound and Norwalk Harbor's salt water tidal marsh. Just footsteps from the front door will take you to the marsh to enjoy any number of water activities. There are water views from many windows of the house. The backyard is completely fenced in with beautiful landscaping, fire pit, adirondack chairs, hammock and tiki torches surrounding the in-ground pool; all of which provide a private paradise for guests needing a relaxing escape.
When looking to venture away from the property, there is a park across the street with tennis, basketball and playground. Quaint waterfront Baxter park is just another 2 blocks away. perfect for picnics! 8 more blocks will take you from this residential peninsula into downtown SONO where you can enjoy a variety of fine dining, the Maritime Aquarium, movie cinema, imax theater, shopping, art galleries, antiquing, SONO's row club, Rex's Dive shop, or a New England lobster/clambake boat ride to the Norwalk Islands. Norwalk's Calf Pasture Beach is a quick 2 mile bike ride or a 15 minute canoe ride away with waterfront dining, a miniature golf course, large dog park, playground and full marina with kayak or sailboat rentals. There are too many other activities in Norwalk to list and what Norwalk can't provide, is guaranteed to be within close proximity of this central location.
A full guide of the area, inclusive of all indoor/outdoor activities, is provided at the property so you are never left looking for something to do. Of course many of our visitors are often just as happy to do nothing in our cozy Connecticut home.

We spent five wonderful days at the Norwalk house so that we would have a nice setting to host our Christmas celebration with our son who lives in the area. The house more than met our expectations, and we were thrilled with our decision to rent it. It was well equipped, beautifully decorated with lovely antiques, and the bedrooms were also well appointed and very comfortable. The owner was wonderful about allowing us to accommodate a couple of extra guests if they could come, and most importantly, we were permitted to bring our dog, Princess. It was truly a magical Christmas in this lovely home, and we hope to return when we can really enjoy the fantastic pool and back yard.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

wonderfully maintained property, we felt relaxed and comfortable from the time we set foot into the home. Pool was a great outlet for kids! We visited in late June, which was a perfect temperature. Owners were accessible when we needed them and were very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone.Recommended for: Pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a most pleasant stay at this seaside home. The house and decor were very comfortable and reflective of the local community of Norwalk. Everything we needed in the way of cooking utensils, glassware and bathroom and bedroom linens was to be found. At the house we used the pool, took long walks, rode our bikes and just relaxed in the living room, poolside or on the front porch. The property is situated very near to downtown Norwalk. We had planned day driving trips around the state, but had plenty to keep us occupied and happy right in the Norwalk area. This worked for us as the perfect vacation home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you for posting such a lovely review. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to any other opportunity in the future. Best to you and your family :)

Why the Owner Chose Norwalk:
We chose this area because it is a culturally diverse and creative, artistic community. There is no limit to the number of activities you can find to do within a quick walk, bike ride, boat ride or drive away. We love being on the coast in a historic New England neighborhood, where every season offers its own unique beauty.
