Our mountain lake cabin is the essence of tranquility for peace seeking travelers and family vacation fun. CEDAR CLIFF LAKE HAS BEEN DRAWN DOWN FOR CONSTRUCTION ON THE DAM UNTIL FALL OF 2024. HOWEVER THE PUBLIC ACCESS TO BEAR LAKE IS ONLY 2 MILES AWAY OFF HWY 281.

Relax and enjoy the serenity from one of two decks or from the spacious, wrap-around covered porch. You may want to lounge around one of the cozy rock fireplaces. Our hot tub is a new amenity for your relaxation and enjoyment.

Our cabin is located within close proximity to Western Carolina University (WCU), Castle Ladyhawk, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Highlands, Nantahala, historic Dillsboro, the Great Smoky Mountain Railway, the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, Smokey Mountain National Park, Maggie Valley, Bryson City. Only one hour away is Asheville, North Carolina and the Biltmore House.

Wonderful Thanksgiving stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the house this Thanksgiving! Carol was amazing and well organized. The view is amazing and the house is fun!

Nice Getaway

We enjoyed the house and the view of the lake even though the construction across the way was going on while we were there. It was nice to have 3 levels - one for each family to use and the extra kitchen helped to supplement the well supplied main kitchen. We had a great time.

A little slice of Heaven’s

The cabin was equipped with everything our family needed! A few minor glitches when we first arrived but Carol immediately had the issue taken care of for us within 12 hours. Immaculate and pristine cabin! We’re already thinking about when we can visit next!

Secluded Paradise

This cabin turned out to be perfect for our weekend wedding stay. Our niece was married at Ladyhawk Castle and this cabin was ideal. The lake view from the balcony gorgeous along with the fire pit. It made for some memorable nights. The kids enjoyed the hot tub as well. The mountains are beautiful surrounding the well equipped cabin. We loved our stay. The owner was very helpful in giving directions and other information. We would highly recommend this vacation home!

Peaceful and Serene

Our family stayed at Serenity on Cedar for a family reunion being held in the area. The cabin was very clean and perfect for our needs. It had everything; being well equipped and spacious. The children loved the televisions and the hot tub. The view from the deck overlooking the lake was awesome and relaxing. Carol was an excellent host and very responsive.

Serenity on Cedar is a wonderful escape from the busy life we all live. Come enjoy the mountain views and wonderful attractions nearby.

What makes this property unique

While this cabin is lakefront on Cedar Cliff Lake, the lake will be lowered until Fall 2024. Beginning September 3, 2019, Duke Energy began major construction on the dam. No boats will be available and the lake will not be accessible during the construction project. Therefore our rates are significantly discounted during this period.. There is a hot tub, internet, fire table and foosball. 2 complete kitchens. 5 flat screen TVs and sports channels available for the sports enthusiast. Just 15 minutes to Western Carolina University, 20 minutes to Sylva, 30 minutes to Cashiers, NC and one hour to Asheville.
