"The Bears' Lair" is a comfortable private home just a short walk from the village center of Bear Valley at 7000 feet elevation, surrounded by the Stanislaus National Forest in the California High Sierras.
An inviting living area under a lofty A-frame roof, a roaring blaze in a large warm fireplace, and the pristine forest view through the ample high glass windows make the stress of urban life melt away. Enjoy a refreshing drink or meal on the large sunny deck.
Alpine adventure abounds in and around Bear Valley; Alpine skiing at Bear Valley Resort and cross-country skiing at one of the Western USA's largest areas. Wild flowers abound in the summer as the annual Bear Valley Music Festival wafts beautiful music through the pines. Hiking and a host of other summer activities are also available nearby.
The "Lair" features two bedrooms to the rear of the living area. The larger bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other a double-size bed. These two rooms are serviced by a full bath. A loft rises above with a double-size bed, two twin beds, and a half bath. Down a flight of stairs is a bunk room with eight twin bunk beds and an adjoining full bath, perfect for the kids. |
