This is a beautiful home. It was well-maintained, clean, and tastefully decorated. We were here for 3 nights during 'leaf peeping' season. It was the perfect location as one day we headed towards Stowe, VT and the next day over into NH. There are many eating establishments close by such as Simon Pierce & Marshfield Inn along with a huge shopping area in nearby NH. We didn't take advantage of the Quechee Lake Club while we were here, but we sure enjoyed our stay in this home. It was simply beautiful. Plenty of space to spread out but still comfy & cozy for some late night chats. The kitchen was well stocked with dinnerware and cookware for us to use - although eating out was more fun! Lou was very accommodating - he marked a map with drives and left some hiking books for us too. He was quick to respond when I had a few last minute questions before our arrival. I would recommend this home to friends and family anytime. Hopefully we'll get to return too!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Wonderful renters. Welcome back anytime. We've tried to make our home a great place to stay and enjoy. Thanks for your nice comments. Lou and Gerry

We section hike the Appalachian Trail and consequently have rented homes from Georgia to Vermont. I have never written a review, even though all of our experiences were good, but felt compelled this time to offer my opinion to those who may be interested in tis area. The owners could not have been more responsive or accommodating. Everything was handled expeditiously and we were surprised with a very nice welcome note and gift basket upon arrival. Out of all of our experiences, this was the cleanest and best maintained home we have rented. It is at the end of a wooded street and very privat. We met most of the neighbors, even though there is quite a distance between homes, and found them to be most friendly and outgoing. Unfortunately we met them due to the hurricane Irene check in during our visit. The garbage pick up was as scheduled, the internet connection and phone connection was great, the gas grill had ample gas, the hot water was hot, everything yoyu could possibly need in the kitchen was supplied, all appliances worked well, the mattresses were comfortable, and I could go on and on. The house is within short driving distance of some VERY good restaurants, (Simon Pearce and Parker House) and overall the Qhechee community was most enjoyable. Lots of things to do.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Great renters! Special thanks for taking good care of our home during hurricane Irene. Welcome back anytime!
