All the Charm of Mexico - with all the Comforts of Home! This lovely duplex in Colonia La Cascada is a short 20 minute walk to the historic center. Totally furnished and artfully decorated.Slosh & soak in a tiled sunken tub in the master bathroom. There is a wonderful office/study area , perfect for the avid writer/ blogger. The kitchen is featured in the book 'Mexicocina, the Spirit and Style of the Mexican Kitchen'. The covered tiled porch is a perfect shady spot to relax in a hammock or dine al fresco, and there is a spacious roof garden that offers plenty of sun and views of the surrounding mountains. 2nd bath is outdoors,convenient to patios.The laundry room has full size washer/ dryer & tiled utility sink.

Traveled to Oaxaca with two girlfriends from 7th grade. It was perfect to each have our own bedroom. The house was absolutely perfect! Gorgeous patio, very light, well-appointed kitchen, quite clean, very accessible to el centro, a short and lovely 20 minute walk. Better to be in this house than in the center as we could get away from the bustle to a quiet and restorative respite. I'll be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Artfully decorated, well appointed 3-bedroom, 2-bath duplex unit. Owners were not present but staff was on hand and were very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable furniture. Washer and dryer. Purified water system. No television or stereo but wifi was available. One of the baths is accessed from an outside terrace, but this really wasn't a big deal for us. We enjoyed eating out on one of the plant-filled outside terraces. The view from the rooftop terrace is great also. Location is a little outside of the historical center, so quieter but not ideal if you're walking into town every day. Overall a clean and attractive accommodation with helpful owners.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
