Need a break . . . .enjoy an island getaway that is truly secluded, yet easily accessible to every amenity - from a marina and a golf course to shopping and fine dining. This private beach front community is only 15 minutes from town, 10 minutes from Sandals most exclusive Resort 'Sandals Emerald Bay', Greg Norman designed golf course, deep water marina and private yacht club. Exuma also has some of the finest snorkeling/diving and deep sea fishing right in your backyard!
Welcome to Paradise. Congratulations on finding the most beautiful location on the island, Jimmy Hill. Your home will take luxury to the next level. This particular unit is the best of the best. The end unit offers increased privacy which allows you and your guests to enjoy the magnificence of the island in peace and quite. The only noise will be the ocean waves crashing just outside your backdoor. You’ll feel as if you’re in your own secret corner of the world. This unit also happens to be the largest unit, which will allow for a more spacious and comfortable visit. The interior decorations are nothing short of perfection. The top notch decor and high end appliances are just the frosting on the cake.
The Bahamas are most remembered for their breathtaking turquoise water. Sitting outside on the large patio, looking at the infinity pool will create the illusion that the turquoise water continues on forever . As the warm sun beats down, you are only a few short steps from taking a dip in the ocean to cool off. As you walk down to the beach, your feet will sink into the white powered sand and the crystal clear water will invite you in for a swim.
You will be amazed that even though you are on a secluded island, you still have so many activities to do. You will leave the trip saying, “ I had nothing to do, but I didn’t get it done.” You can explore the islands mouth watering cuisine by checking out some of the local’s favorite restaurants. You can take a water taxi to Chant N’ Chill and enjoy the freshly chopped conch salad and the Sunday pig roast, head to the fish fry for some late night fun, go into town to Eddy’s for Monday night Rake N’ Scrape dancing, walk down the beach to Houseman’s right on the water, stop at Peace N’ Plenty’s for a famous drink made by the one and only Doc, the list is endless.
If you are looking for more of an adventure you can take a boat trip with a local captain (which we can arrange), who will show you his backyard. The boat ride will showcase the changing water colors and you will cruise from island to island and enjoy snorkeling, swimming pigs, spear fishing, and a shore lunch of fresh fish and lobster.
So, the question is, is it worth a few hundred dollars more to enjoy the islands most spectacular home!!!
The answer will become crystal clear, just like the water, the minute you step foot in the “Mac Shack.”
This vacation in Paradise is a once in a lifetime vacation, come visit the exquisite beauty!

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic week with our 2 kids (4 & 2yo). This rental is amazing down to every last detail. It is something you don't normally see in a vacation rental. We live at the beach and my wife was taking pictures of the various "beach" themed decor items . We travel to the caribbean 3 times a year and found this to be one of the most comfortable rentals we have ever had. Since we had the little one's with us we ate most lunches out; and our dinners in the fully equipped kitchen. The pool and hot-tub were a hit with my kids and we loved strolling the long powdery white beach at sunset. Winds were a bit high during our visit so there were no bugs which was great but that meant the ocean was not flat calm every day- not a big deal since there are so many places nearby that are blocked from wind. We rented a car and explored several different beaches around the island. Cocoplum at low tide was the highlight. You can walk for what feels like a mile on a sandbar collecting sand dollars. The home was conveniently located near the airport and not too far from Georgetown (15 min). We rented a boat from Minn's on Sunday and enjoyed exploring more sandbars, secluded beaches, and the Sunday Pig Roast at Chat n' Chill. Other highlights included a visit to Tropic of Cancer Beach and Santanna's restaurant (best lobster on island!); and conch salad at Big D's - special shout out to Uncle Alvin...thanks for making my salad HOT!! We hope to return to this great home and fantastic island before the year is over.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed here with four adults and three children(ages 13 to 5) for 8 days. We could not have asked for anything better. The house was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The pool and beach/ocean are steps away and are stunning. It felt like "home" the minute we got there. We have traveled to many locations throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean and this ranks at the top. We are already dreaming when we can return. Thank You Mike(owner) for the use of your house and all the helpful tips prior to our arrival. I can't think of a better place to spend a vacation with family and friends!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My wife and I are returning guests to this unit. We wrote the review on our stay in July 2010 and the only thing that is different today is the landscaping is far more mature and beautiful. Maintenance and upkeep here are way above average, the place still feels new. Mike, the owner is clearly investing money and keeping this a 5 star destination. The number island spots for dinner / drinks has increased and you can tell that the competition is still raising the bar. Contact Harris at Sugar Adventure Tours for the most amazing shore lunch ever, we did that again and it will be on our agenda the next time we book this incredible unit. This outstanding destination keeps getting better.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Exuma is one of the most beautiful areas of the Caribbean and this place was awesome! We are a group of four ladies in our 40's and 50's who have been traveling to the Caribbean each summer for the past nine years. We have stayed in several rental properties so we know what to expect. This home is unusually spacious with four separate bedrooms and four separate bathrooms. The kitchen is huge with a large island, wine cooler, separate beverage cooler, and a full-size refrigerator. The home was stocked with everything we needed for our stay and then some. The owner is very friendly, easy to work with, and cares about his guests' experience while staying at his home. The property is gorgeous with a beautiful infinity pool and a spectacular beach just steps away from the back door. We will definitely stay at this home the next time we are in Exuma!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house is beautiful, the pictures dont do it any justice. Really large, great location, spacious and lots of lovely details. Right on a lovely long beach, manicured lawns, nicely furnished, beach towels, everything you could want. We stayed at both the Cove (the most expensive tower) at the Atlantis in and Mike's place in the Exumas. If we were to do it again, we would skip Nassau/Paradise Island entirely. Exuma's beaches, the sea, the accomodations, the overall experience was so so so much better. Atlantis just felt like a zoo:( Thanks for everything Mike, cant wait to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 5/5

We recently stayed at Jimmy Hill and were absolutely thrilled! The place is more beautiful than the pictures are able to capture. The property sits on a stunning white pristine beach. The infinity pool is right there. We had two boys (5) and (11) and felt so comfortable with them at the pool and beach. My son and I actually went out front to go snorkle when a large sea turtle came swimming right by us. (boy that caught my attention!) The house is decorated beautifully and tastefully. I wish my kitchen were as lovely and functional as theirs. Everything we could possibly need was provided. The rooms are fabulous with a huge deck over looking the ocean. It was like looking at a postcard every morning. The locals are extremely friendly and helpful.. The ship comes in on Fridays and Tues with food, ect. for the island. That is when the selection of fruits, vegetables, hummous, pizza, ect are at there best. We were able to get fresh fish and lobster tails from a sweet woman at the hair salon. Ask around. Sometimes you will pass people on the road with fresh catches. We ate a lot of snapper and grouper. Doesn't get any fresher than that! Make sure to bring lots of bug spray if you attract the no seeums (tiny bugs) as I tend to. Also, be sure to bring cash. Most places only accept cash and prefer not to use credit cards do to an international fee. The owner was extremely helpful recommending places to go and boat captains to hire. Working with the airline industry has allowed me to travel extensively and I have to say this was truly the best property I have ever stayed at. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Thank you Mike. We would love to return. So many more fun things to do!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Out of all the beach vacations we’ve done (as a travel agent I’ve done many) this was the best ever. We absolutely loved your luxury, fully furnished villa. We could tell the place was new and the decorations and furnishing are top of the line. The floor to ceiling, full view window and doors that look out to the ocean make the view unforgetable from the main level and from the bedrooms upstairs. The infinity pool and hot tub is a great feature looking out to the most beautiful beach and turquoise water. We walked the beach both ways almost a mile and never saw anyone. We did every suggestion you told us about and the highlight was Robert's boat trip…hanging out on the sand bar, swiming with nurse sharks, snorkeling in the grotto, the swimming pigs. Chat n Chill for the pig roast and sting rays was awesome and Santana’s food was the best fish plate we’ve had in the Caribbean. One night we grilled out grouper, snapper and lobster caught by a local. Went to Catch a Fire the next night for drinks and sunset. Went to the local festival called Junkanoo at the Fish Fry which gave a real sense of the culture and natives are the nicest people. We loved everything about our trip to paradise!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
