Powder Creek Ranch is nestled in a valley that backs up to Mt. Hebo in the Coast Mountain range. It is fronted by the Nestucca River and is surrounded by pristeen forest. The Ranch is named for Powder Creek that is a year round stream that runs the length of the ranch and empties into the Nestucca. It's a great creek to hike and swim. The Nestucca River is a class A fishing river known for it's salmon and steelhead. Hiking is easy on the Ranch or Niagra Creek Falls is a little more vigorous nearby hiking trail that offers many photo opportunities.

We have nurtured the deer since purchasing the ranch in 1974, so we are all 'friendly'. We feed the deer their breakfast in the back yard every morning and get to watch the changes they go through during the year. In the fall, the bucks spar with each other and court the does. In June, it's pure delight to watch as the does bring the new fawns into the yard to introduce them to us. There are two ponds in the front yard and we feed the wild ducks and geese which keeps them here year round. This is a wonderful place for kids to learn about nature firsthand.

We offer two full bedroom suites, each with a private bath.

The 'Eastlake' is 600 sqft on the main floor with a private entry and deck. The focus of the Eastlake is the beautiful quartz fireplace that adds a romantic ambience. There is a plush queen bed and a comfortable queen hide-a-bed, both with luxury linens that sleep four in the room. The bath has a large soaking tub and shower. A 36' HD TV, DVD player w/ movie library, wifi, small refrigerator, in room coffee, couch and recliner all make this your home away from home.

The 'Heritage' is 400 sqft on the second floor. Furnished with a comfy pillowtop king bed with luxury soft linens. There is a large private deck with views of the ponds and surrounding forest. Private bath with shower, TV, DVD player, peaceful reading area in a light, bright cheery room.

Don't worry about going hungry with us. We serve a hearty country style breakfast and will accomodate special diets.

Powder Creek Ranch is centrally located to the local beaches and the city of Tillamook. It's about 25 miles north to Tillamook which is where you'll find the famousTillamook Cheese Factory where you can watch the process of cheese making and have a hand scooped ice creamcone. Visit the Tillamook Air Museum located in the largest wooden building in the world Or...about 23 miles south to Pacific City with quaint shops and Cape Kiwanda where Haystack Rock is the back drop for gorgeous sunsets at the beach.

My husband and I stayed here in the month of August. It was one of the most memorable B and Bs we have ever stayed at (we have stayed in over 50 over the last few years traveling). The family of hosts were so welcoming - we felt like family and were able to share a few delicious home-cooked meals with them and hear about the history of the farm. They had no issues accommodating our dog as well. They took us out to see the deer and calves being fed which was great for us city-slickers! The suite was beautiful and had plush linens, rugs and everything you could need. All clean and modern but still had a rustic charm with the log cabin look. Hope to be back again! You won't mind the little extra drive from the coast to stay in this wonderful haven!

Owner response: Dear Jocelyn, thank you so much for all your kind words. We're so happy that you and Nick were so pleased with your accommodations. We look forward to seeing you again. (Rufus too!) Bev, Brenda and Hillary

Every once in a while (if you're lucky) you run across something that turns out even better than you expected. That's what we found at Power Creek Ranch. Not only were the accommodations as good as depicted on this web-site, the ambiance of the setting and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside made our stay delightful and refreshing. We enjoyed the pleasure of being greeted by the forest denizens every morning and amazed at the dozen or so hummingbirds who raced along the 30 foot porch to see who got to the front (or back) feeder 1st !! The hospitality given us by Beverly, Brenda, Hillary and Gabby was like spending time with good friends, seated around the breakfast table and just enjoying the company you're keeping. Oh! And when it comes to food, not only does Brenda feed you well, but she's modest about how good a cook she really is! So, to make a long story short....plan a visit and you'll be wishing you could stay by the time you leave....and we can't wait to come again.....just saying!!

This was a great retreat from our daily busy schedules. We were blessed with the TLC provided by the hostess and will always remember the wonderfully prepared food and stories from the heart. Thank you and God bless. TnT

                  Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2010

About the owner: The innkeepers are three generations of ladies, Beverly, Brenda and Hillary who live together at the Ranch. Beverly has lived at the Ranch since 1983. She and Brenda started a dairy here in 1986 and operated until '96. Bev is now retired after a life in a variety of self-employed business' and has an entrepreneurial spirit which was conveyed to Brenda while growing up in the restaurant business. With a love of cooking and entertaining, Brenda has dreamed about having a bed and breakfast business for 20 years. Hillary attends Tillamook Bay Community College where she's working on her associates degree. Hillary is the guardian of the wildlife and livestock at the Ranch. The other members of the family are Lily, Mickey and Belle, our pets. The Ranch has been in our family since 1974 when Bev's parents purchased it. They started feeding the deer apples and grain to entice them to stay close by. Since then, the deer have been hosts to countless friends and family who have a love of nature and peace & quiet.

                  Why the Owner Chose Beaver:
We started building this beautiful log home in 2004 and moved in in April 2006 with the intent of living here forever. It's such a unique and special property that we decided to share it with others, continuing the tradition that began in 1974.

The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
Peace and quiet are what we love about the Ranch. Waking up every day to nature in all it's glory with our wildlife friends.
