This arty bohemian penthouse haven, located in the very heart of Saint Germain des Prés on the gorgeous Place de Furstenberg, is the perfect vacation rental apartment for a unique Parisian living experience.

This enchanting Paris apartment has been lovingly decorated by the owner with a mix of French antiques, Indian fabrics and original artwork collected on the owner’s travels throughout France and India, as well as some pieces of the artist owner’s personal artwork. With its private balcony and breathtaking panoramic views of Paris, the apartment is well worth the climb to its 5th floor location. The whimsical mix of old world charm and modern amenities make this gem of an apartment a divinely cozy escape in the center of Paris.

This charming duplex apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (please note: there is only one toilet).

Upon entering your vacation rental apartment, you will find a beautiful, country-style kitchen outfitted with a gas-burning Cornu stove, a dishwasher and plenty of high-quality kitchen instruments to cook up fabulous meals with your day’s fresh market finds. The sunny living room, with its eclectic mix of French and Indian antiques and artwork, features original terra cotta floors, a dining table with seating for 4-6 and a couch and armchair for relaxing after a day of touring.

Also on the first floor, you will find the first bedroom, with a double bed, antique desk and en-suite bathroom with shower and sink. The apartment’s one toilet/W.C. is located by the stairs to the 2nd floor. The entire 1st floor of the apartment (kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room and bedroom) is paved in historic original red terra cotta French tiles.

Up a flight of stairs, you will find the second bedroom with queen bed located in a charming mansard, illuminated with skylights that give out onto the Paris skyline and more panoramic city views. The en-suite bathroom has an antique stand-alone tin bathtub and sink. Please note: The tub is a high step in and could be a problem for someone who has trouble climbing.

Off of the bedroom you will find a cozy and light-filled office/reading room, with a piano, desk, armchair and colorful divan. Access to the apartment’s lovely terrace is from this study. Enjoy meals or evening drinks with views of many of the major Parisian monuments.

Please note: This apartment is a 5th floor walk-up (no elevator) and, additionally, there is an internal staircase within the apartment. There are many fragile fabrics and antiques that require special consideration in the flat. Children are welcome but caution is advised due to the many stairs, the balcony, and the fragile nature of the furnishings.
