  Our families visit each year to play in the snow and ski. This year we returned to our favorite home, Appaloosa Estate, and we had another perfect trip!! The home is impeccable, well cared for, and has all the amenities you can desire. The neighborhood is safe, perfect for exploring and hiking. The photos are exactly like the home, no fisheye lense photography here. The property manager is wonderful and friendly and very accommodating. We will return as long as we can!

  This past weekend was the first time our family rented a cabin (in this case a luxury estate)in Big Bear and our experience couldn't have been any better. We booked our stay a couple months in advance and Daniel the owner was very easy to work with. Being that it was my first time renting in Big Bear, Daniel was very informative and friendly. Upon arrival we were greeted by Daniel who not only made sure the cabin was nice and warm for us, but took the time to show us around. Since it was our first time in the area Daniel even went out of his way to show us how to get to snow summit, just to make sure we had a good experience. As far as the property..This place is gorgeous! They did a very good job decorating this place to make it feel like home. It is also very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. I personally used the grill alot which worked great. Loved the fact that the property was fenced in so that we didn't have to worry too much about the kids playing out back. We took full advantage of the hot tub after a long day on the slopes. The gameroom provided hours of entertainment. The layout of the home worked out perfect with the gameroom being upstairs including a bathroom and two bedrooms being on opposite sides since there was two families in our group. Also liked how the kitchen was open to the living room. We plan on going back every winter and possibly in the summer and there is no way we will stay anywhere else. In my opinion it can't get better than this.

  Every year we take our high school soccer team to Big Bear for a team bonding weekend. This house was amazing and was perfect for our needs! Easy to get to and located in a beautiful neightborhood. The spacious kitchen allowed us to cook and eat all meals together. Our team cant stop talking about how wonderful this house was - they enjoyed the spa, the pool table and the foosball table as well. Thank you to Dan and Linda for accomodating our every need.

  A group of 15 of us went up for a Bday and superbowl weekend. I can only say good things about the house and our amazing experience. The house is very spacious, clean and all electronics and cabinetry are top notch. if you really want to have a good time and impress your guest, this is the place to be. Also, Daniel (owner) does an hour walkthru and if everything is in good standing your deposit is retuned on the spot. Too many times have we been blamed for BS things that we didnt do and always get zero return on our deposits. Not here

  My family stayed at this amazing property for my sister's 40th Birthday Celebration. There were 3 families that stayed at the house with young kids (9-12 years old), teenagers and even grandma. The house had everything for all the age groups with lots of sleeping options too. The guys loved playing pool, while the kids played on the foosball table and played cards. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly need to make a great meal. We cooked breakfast and dinner together, plus baked a cake for my sister's birthday. The hot tub was perfect after a long day on the mountain. The house is expansive enough that even if the kitchen is bustling with the cooking and food preparation, you can be in one of the bedrooms watching TV or playing a game and not feel like you're in the middle on all the commotion. The house has a great yard where we had a snow ball fights, built an igloo, played frisbee and of course, made snow angels. I loved our stay and if we go back to Big Bear, we'll definitely go back to this amazing house.

  If you don't want your neighbors on top of you, then this is the place. We loved the tranquility and privacy of this property. It's close to town, yet you feel a world away. The back yard backs up to the forest, and it's very peaceful. The pictures are accurate, and the property is very clean and well maintained. The owners are very accommodating, and took care of our special requests. I drove from Los Angeles to view several properties before reserving, and I'm glad I did. The Appaloosa stood out, and was truly the best, inside and out.

  Great place for a family vacation!! The floor plan was great for two families with kids. Each family was able to take one side of the house with the family room in the middle. We required a crib for a 20-month old & the owners found one for us & assembled it in the master prior to our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots & pans needed for us to prepare a great Thanksgiving dinner without bringing everything from our home. Great owners to work with, you can't go wrong.

  There is too much to say in this review! First off, the home is absolutely stunning! We visit Big Bear every year, and this is the most amazing home we've ever had the privilege of staying in. The house is over 4000 square feet and is very private. Our large group never felt cramped or uncomfortable in this expansive home. We spent most of our weekend in the huge kitchen, which is open to the dining room and living room, so we were all able to hang out together at all times. I especially loved the hot tub on the deck, which was amazing in the cold Big Bear weather. Second, I must give a HUGE thanks to the owners of the home. We were welcomed warmly, given a thorough tour of the home and were able to call the owners with questions during our entire stay. At one point, we had an issue with the water pressure in the kitchen sink. The owner showed up shortly after our call and instantly fixed the problem. Fortunately, it turned out to be just a kink in the faucet cord, but it's super helpful that the owners are close enough to come over and help out when you need them! The owners are extremely accommodating and go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy! I can't wait to visit next year!

  We have been going to Big bear for our team building trip for15 years and this trip was our best trip ever. Daniel was welcoming, very accomodating and willing to work with us on our budget. This estate is perfect for large group activities inside and out. My players cant stop talking about how much they enjoyed their team building trip. What a great way to start the season! We hope we can stay at this beautiful place again next year.

• Amazing Time!!!

  For the second year in a row (and I hesitate to say this because I know this place is going to get so booked, we won't be able to get our time frame without booking way ahead of time - which we WILL do :), our women's group came to stay at this house. It is the perfect setup for us with plenty of sleeping space and an open kitchen and living room area with fireplace for fellowshipping. Nearby are many local attractions (zoo, downtown Big Bear with many shops and eateries, woods, lakes, hiking trails, etc.). And all within two hours or less of Los Angeles/Orange counties. We highly recommend staying here. You will love it!
