Rest assured that the pictures here are 100% accurate. Kimberly's cabin is just as private and clean as it looks here. We were looking to escape life for a few days and this was just perfect.

Spring Break Fun

Spent three days at this cabin and enjoyed every minute of it. My wife and I took our four children and three of their friends. We had our hands full but the house had plenty of beds and space for everyone. Spent a lot of time hiking in Staircase area which is just right up the road and the lake which is just a hop, skip, and a jump from the door. Everyone enjoyed themselves and would go back again!

This was our third vacation at Kimberly's Cabin. Improvements have been done each time we go. It's been fun to see all the love and attention given to this cabin. Our family loved this year's improvements; the extra bedrooms, additional beds, additional bath, fireplace downstairs... All comfy! If hubby goes through TV withdrawals, there are a few TVs to choose from, along with a nice selection of DVDs. With free wi-fi, we can still be connected (if we choose to). This place has all the comforts of home, PLUS the roomy lot with an improved fire pit and lots of parking. A personal favorite of mine is the large deck with the babbling creek next to the house. Kimberly cares about her guests. It shows in every aspect. She's always pleasant and prompt in communicating. We recommend this property. We're looking forward to renting from you again. Thanks for everything, Kimberly!

HAD AN AMAZING SPRING BREAK

I went with a group of friends and we had an amazing time there. The second we walked in, we fell in love with the place. The second you walk in the house, you'll be amazed from the kitchen to the living room. Upstairs is AMAZING, but wait until you go downstairs and look to your right. If you want a nice place and have an enjoyable time, rent this place. Kimberly is so kind and friendly! Definitely coming back this summer.

This was the most amazing weekend in recent memory! This cabin is a beautiful, warm and welcoming place to get away to and that is in addition to it's awesome location! The pictures shown are great, but don't do it justice! The fire pit is a great place for everyone to relax around, but stop and get wood on your way!! There is plenty of room to spread out and have multiple families spend time together without getting in each others way. Not sure I could even think of something negative to say! Thanks for sharing with my family and I Kimberly!!

much needed R&R

I found the lake house to be the perfect getaway. We stayed one full wk. I loved the lake view every morning while enjoying my coffee. We had long walks, we had nice drives. We played in the snow on one of our drives next to a beautiful little waterfall. We saw a heard of elk and a baby dear. I love the huge fire pit, we had great fires even in the sprinkling rain. I think a big plus would be the fact that you don't have a neighbor right next to you. We had privacy. I can't say enough about how well stocked the house is. We had everything we could possibly need. We will be back. Thank you Kimberly

"Me and my 14 friends used this property for our annual retreat. Great...great...location. there's a lot of things to do just being inside the beautiful property, but outside is as beautiful as well. We came prepared with all the things we usually needed (plates, glasses etc). They really have this part covered, when they said they can sleep 16-20 they actually have all the amenities for that many. This by far the most comfortable and nicest place our group has ever been to. Thanks Kimberly, we'll surely be back !!! "

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Kimberly's chalet. While the home is situated in a neighborhood, the lot was large enough and surrounded by trees to give us a secluded feel. We will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

We had a great time at Kimberly's cabin. The kids enjoyed playing pool, video games, in the little creek and especially the loft area. We had a great balance of technology and nature :) Even though it had one bathroom it worked out for two families. Also, upon arrival we had a really nice card from Kimberly to welcome us to her cabin. Thanks again!

Stayed here with our extended family, 14 in all. Had plenty of space to hang out, cook, eat and sleep, just needed to use our camper for an extra bathroom and to give the teenagers a little more privacy to change and sleep. My elderly mom loved the private deluxe bedroom near the bathroom. Great accommodations, amenities and location with plenty of parking. My only recommendations would be the addition of a pantry cabinet for food storage and to cover some open insulation near the beds in the downstairs family room, but sounds like some remodeling is on the way that will alleviate that situation. Kimberly is great to work with and I hope we can return another year.

We had another fantastic vacation at this rental. It's turning into a tradition. We went boating, tubing, hiking, bbq'd oysters..... This rental has so much to offer and a great lay out to accomodate the teenagers and the little kids. You have to check it out in person to appreciate. We can't wait to go back again next August. Camping with comfort

The Accommodation is wrong; there's only one bathroom and I couldn't see where the 3rd bedroom come from unless you count the bed in the basement. We had a group of 12 and one bathroom was a challenge. Need to get some new towels; the ones we have smell funky.

Owner response: When this party booked several months prior to July the listing stated one bedroom with loft and only 1 bathroom. I just updated VRBO in September to reflect the changes that are happening while we are closed for October for updates there was never any misrepresentation on my part I am sorry for any confusion.

This is a fantastic cabin!

This is a fantastic cabin! We had a big group (12 people), and all of us fit comfortably. We brought up our own food, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve it. Thankfully, there was a dishwasher so we didn’t have to hand wash anything. There were also two washer/dryers available, and the cabin was stocked with lots of towels. There was a pool table, board games, wi-fi , and an outdoor fire pit. The location is a very short walk to the water. I would definitely recommend renting this cabin if you’re looking for an exceptional getaway!

Perfect for our Small Family Reunion!

We had a family reunion with up to 15 adults at one point. The cabin was beautiful, spotless, and had plenty of sleeping for all. The one bathroom was a challenge but totally doable. The cabin is larger than it seems from the on-line pictures. The internet, direct tv, and the phone worked great. The local parks were terrific for volleyball and the playground. The kitchen could have used some bigger cookware for a large group but we managed. We loved the campfires and eating out on the deck by the babbling brook. Kimberly was super responsive to all my questions and I would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful relaxing retreat

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time in this great cabin by the lake. This is the second year in a row that we have rented Kimberly's wonderful cabin. We came without the Kids and Grandkids this year and had a very comfortable and relaxing time. I hope we can make this an annual family event.

Wonderful weekend

I stayed here for a weekend with my girlfriend, my daughter, her boyfriend and our dog. We had a really great stay. Even though it's not on the lake, we could see it through the trees and it was only a short stroll to the community beach. It was still cool in the evening but sitting around the outdoor fire pit at night with our glasses of wine was lovely. The house was spacious despite it being a 1 bedroom and would easily accommodate larger groups. I didn't give it 5 stars because we love to cook and sometimes it was a little challenging with what was available in the kitchen. I would stay here again but I would have a better idea of what to bring.

The cabin is very comfortable and clean. Decorated wonderfully. We also really enjoyed hearing the creek right outside the bedroom window all night. It was one of the most relaxing 4 days we've spent. The location is great and the fact that you allow dogs is great. We definitly recommend this to anyone looking for a great rlaxing time. We will be back!

Spring Getaway

Needed a mini-vacation not too far from home. Love the Hood Canal area, so booking a trip to Lake Cushman was perfect. Arrived Sunday, May 6th and was immediately impressed with the location and the vacation property. It is absolutely gorgeous! Three floors to spread out in, great kitchen, huge open floor plan with high vaulted ceilings and a loft. Big windows and great open beams give it a great cabin feel. The finished basement has games lots of couches and a couple more beds for more guests. We played probably the longest pool game in history, we were just having too much fun. We utilized the fire pit both nights and watched the moon come up through the trees and eventually light up the entire lake. We slept in the queen bed in the loft with the window open so we could hear the stream that runs right alongside the house. So peaceful and quiet. The nearest neighbors are across the street and back behind the house in the trees so you really feel alone. The free Wi-Fi helped keep us connected with family. Having no cell service was nice, we get too caught up in "being connected". I will definitely return for another vacation since it is so close and yet just far enough away to leave your worries at home!

This is our 2nd visit at Kimberly's Lake Place. My husband and I (along with our adult children), stayed at the house, and there was nothing we lacked. All the comforts of home are provided in this treasure that Kimberly does a fabulous job of maintaining (and improving upon!). Her professionalism is outstanding. We had a great time. The cabin was easy to drive to, and easy to locate. Since we came in the winter, it was a beautiful setting with all the snow on the ground, and the creek running next to the cabin. We also loved how close it was to so many amazing hikes. We had a group of twelve and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and feel comfortable. Kim was very easy to work with, and the cabin was exactly as she describes.

We spent a long weekend out at the cabin and it was great way to bring in the new year! It was a cozy cabin that allowed our large group to both hang out together or spread out with plenty of space. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed, plus, the movie collection was top notch. The water level on Lake Cushman was really low and that gave us plenty of opportunities to explore the lake bed. It is the perfect location to get away from the city, but the town of Hoodsport is only about 20 minutes away if you need any extra supplies. Kimberly was very helpful and the trip went so smoothly! We all recommend this cabin and would rent again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Kimberly's Lake Cushman rental was outstanding. We met a number of friends for a weekend stay and Thanksgiving get together and had an outstanding time. The owner was careful to check-in about any questions, offer applicable information, and make sure the stay went smoothly. The house was clean, well-equipped, and cozy. A short walk down the road is a gorgeous view of Lake Cushman and the mountains. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Our First Stay But NOT Our Last! :)

We spent 3 nights and 4 days at Kimberly's Cabin and had an amazing time. The home and all the accommodations exceeded our expectations! We have a very large family and all 14 of us slept very comfortably! I had packed things only to find that the home already provided them - which was a huge surprise! I love the doggy gates on the deck - we had no dogs but they were extremely useful for our (3) Toddler kids going in and out of the house. The board games were of use during the short period of time that it rained. I love the big open yard space, fire pit, play house, creek, fully equipped kitchen, the two washer/ dryers, pool table and the most comfortable beds to sleep in! On our last day - we were packing up and heading towards the community park, when I realized that I had misplaced my community parks passes that were provided. I gave Kimberly a call and she was so helpful! She gave the Lake Cushman Maintenance Co. a call and got me more passes! Thank you for the great customer service and appreciate all the home has to offer. I highly recommend staying here to anyone and I have already started referring Kimberly's lake Cushman Cabin to all of my friends and family! We will with out a doubt be staying here again.

Thank you so much Kim for having such a beautiful place for us to have our wedding it was perfect for our little gathering :) I absouletly love the doggie gates on the deck. You seemed to have everything needed to make our stay extra comfortable. I also enjoyed the pics on the wall and the journal that everyone writes in. The 2 washer and dryers were also very helpful and the pool table was perfect for our occasion. Like I said before I cant wait to come back and visit.. Thanks again :)

We had the most amazing vacation ever in this beautiful rental home, with such personal touches. My family and I can't wait to return. We had beautiful weather and so many activities to keep us busy: boating, fishing, clam digging, swimming, hiking, bbq, campfire and LOTS of family time. Great Family Vacation!

We just returned home from spending five days at Kimberley's Lake Cushman Vacation House and have to say what a great time we had there! The house was clean and comfortable and easily accommodated our large group of family and friends.Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool table, video games and firepit in the evenings after a long day at the beach or hiking. Last year we rented a two bedroom cabin at a nearby resort which was a huge disappointment! It was dirty, cramped and the staff extremely unfriendly. After hearing my complaints, a friend who owns property at Lake Cushman recommended Kimberly's cabin. Kimberly was friendly, easy to work with and for roughly the same price as the resort you get a huge comfortable house with access to the private beach and park! It's also very close to Staircase and other trails where we went hiking several times. All in all we had a great time and would love to stay here again next summer!

Kimberlys cabin is beautiful, from the cabin alone to the spacious yard she has perfect for outdoor games and activities the bonfires and the extraordinary view! I loved waking up everymorning walking to the nearby park to fish and let the dogs swim, "which there are fishys we were successful". then coming back at the end of the day to a BBQ and a fun game of pool. The nights are so much fun sitting around a camp fire with your family and friends making smores! and a perfect view of the stars... I can't wait till our next vacation at Kims cabin.

Thank you for EVERYTHING! Your cabin was such a great place to hold a family getaway. It had everything we needed plus more! There was nothing we were lacking at your place. The fact that there was no reception and no WI-FI was a major plus! It allowed us to completely unplug from the busyness of life and enjoy the peace and quiet your property has. Great base for hiking

I stayed at Kimberly's place for three nights during a winter hiking trip in the Olympic National Park and Forest. The house is just down the street from Staircase as well as a few worthy forest trails, which greatly reduced the time I spent driving to trailheads. The mattress in the master bedroom was just the thing after a long day of snowy hiking - I slept very soundly each night and was refreshed each morning. The house was immaculate when I arrived and could easily support a large group, provided they don't mind sharing one bathroom. The living room furniture was comfortable and the view from the dining table of Lake Cushman was lovely. Kimberly was very responsive via email, provided excellent directions, and has put care and thought into outfitting her place. It's a great place to get away for a few days, and the drive from the I-5 corridor is lovely.

From the time we arrived at Kimberly's Cabin, we were comfortable. Even the little things I experienced there were great, such as, I forgot the sugar and needed a couple of teaspoons, and there was sugar in the cupboard. The place is quiet and the surroundings are gorgeous. The trails and scenery around the cabin are amazing. We were looking at staying somewhere else until I was referred to Kimberly's, and I am glad I got that referral. This place can't be beat.

Super comfortable, clean and roomy location for the perfect family getaway. The lake is not typically crowded and is so beautiful with a great park close by for the kids. The house met every need we had while there, and the owner was very gracious and easy to contact. The kids loved the place, too. Lots of fun board games on hand and they loved sleeping in the very cool loft! Firepit was awesome. Bear Creek trail was fun to visit and let the kids explore. Husband was happy to have good tv channels, too. Very fair rates for what all you have access to!

This cabin was an AWESOME find! I only wish I had found it years earlier. I stumbled across it accidentally while searching for a place to go camping with my sister. I was so impressed with how clean and NICE it was, even after looking at the pictures on the website! This is a perfect place for our family to come and spend time. The location is an easy drive, but once you are there, you feel miles and miles away from the hustle and bustle of the world. It is a very serene setting with lots of activities to do during the day. The lake is beautiful. We had such nice weather, that we spent almost all of our days in it! We will have to come back again to do some of the great hikes in the area. I really enjoyed the easy access to the lake, the fact that we could have our boat there, and the extra space for campers, RV's, trailers or tents. The cabin itself had more then enough room for myself, my husband, and each of my three children and there friends. I loved the fact that there was a downstairs for the boys to play video games. I loved eating dinner each night on the patio and waking up and drinking my coffee while watching the birds and the chipmunks eat the bird feed. The fire pit was a great way to end each evening! Having a washer and dryer (well actually 2!) was a huge bonus also! I was sure to book my week for next year before I posted this to be sure we get our time! This was a fantastic find and we will be back again and again!

My family spent several days in this wonderful Chalet. We go somewhere every year and have rented a lot of places and this rates the best. The price makes it reasonable so the family can afford to get away. The place is so warm homey and comfortable. I loved the little touches like all the seasonings for cooking, lotion, sun screen even bandaids. Very relaxing - so much we spent most of the time at the cabin with family time, Played games, relaxed on the deck, the kids played in the wide open area where they could ride bikes. The stream was so relaxing to hear. We plan on going again - not only to get away but to experience more of the surrounding area - if we can break away from the nice lodging.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I had the opportunity to use Kimberly's cabin in August with my grandchildren ( along with my daughter and son-in-law). Kimberly was excellent to work with and was very responsive when I had questions. The cabin was very clean and inviting and was so well stocked that I found I brought too many supplies. The stream which runs along the side of the property was very soothing to go to sleep by as well as tremedous entertainment for the 4 grandchildren. Lake Cushman offers various activities as well as wonderful hiking trails at Staircase. I would definitely recommend this property to other families

The first I was at the cabin my Aunt & Uncle rented it for my wedding- Labor Day Weekend 2009. I was getting married at a private home just down the street and this cabin was the perfect place for me to get ready plus house quite a few family members & friends. We even had a an RV on site and some tents. The bonfire was a great place for us all to gather after all the festivities. The second time I stayed, I rented the cabin for a weekend Scrapbooking retreat. The open floor plan made it easy to set up a couple extra tables so we had plenty of room to work on our photo albums. The kitchen is great to cook in and the beds are really comfortable. I am looking forward to the next time I am able to stay.
