My husband and I met up with his cousin and his wife for the St Patricks Day weekend. The home was absolutely perfect for the 4 of us. We enjoyed walking down to Hyde Park and having dinner at the Cock and Bull, and breakfast at Echo is a must! Great food! It's also a short drive to downtown Cincinnati. I would definitely recommend this lovely home to anyone wanting to get away! Thank you for sharing your home with us and we definitely will be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Cincy this is the one. Perfectly located, and perfectly furnished, this house proved a far better place to stay for my group than an overpriced hotel room. Don't think twice.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I think that all I need to say is that we would go back to stay at this home any time we are in Cincinnati. We have already told others about it and how nice the location is to other venues. The owners were very helpful and gracious. We look forward to a return trip.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed two nights in January in this beautiful Hyde Park home. The home was very clean, more than comfortable and the location is perfect for all Cincinati has to offer. Minutes by car to downtown and better yet minutes to walk to Hyde Park Square for any meal. We are so glad Ginger, the owner, offers this property on Vrbo. We hope to use it again! Thanks, Ginger.Recommended for: Sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your comments. I will pass them on to my two wonderful housekeepers. They do a fabulous job taking care of the house! Glad you liked the area... we do too - great access to everything in Cincinnati.

This was our first trip to Cincinnati, and certainly not our last. The house was very spacious, clean and provided a 'home from home' for us while here. It is only a short walk to the square where we found a miriad of small unique shops and local restuarants. The wonderful Museum is just a short car ride away as is downtown. Ginger was excellent with the few minor issues we had and, as it was hot, I did water the garden which provided some 'me' time to collect my thoughts. Regrettably, three days was all we could spend here. I look forward to visiting again which would undoubtedly be at this rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We were so comfortable in this home. The location was ideal for enjoying restaurants, a 24/7 bakery, and shopping center. We parked the car and walked to the stores and restaurants. The street was quiet and the location felt very safe. We got great information from the owner prior to arrival so there were no surprises. The house was clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay there again if our travels would take us to Cincinnati.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Our family traveled to Cincinnati from Arkansas, Virginia and Pennsylvania to be together between Christmas and New Year's. The house was charming, clean and well equipped. The owners are very pleasant to work with, and it is obvioius that they have thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable. The house is located in a great area which is close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. We especially enjoyed the Creation Museum, the Underground Railroad Museum, and the Cincinnati Zoo. We had a wonderful experience, and if our travel plans ever bring us to the Cincinnati area again, we will definitely return to this lovely home.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend. Our daughter and her family (from Chicago) loved the place and our son and his family (who live in Cincinnati) saw it for the 1st time as well, and were very impressed. We watched our 2 granddaughters Friday so our daughter-in-law could run errands and we were able to easily walk to the preschool at Knox Presbyterian. A real plus! I did quite a bit of cooking there and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Thanks!! We are SO happy to have found your place and hope to use it often. Thank you for providing such a charming place to stay. : )Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: We grew up in Cincinnati and love staying in Hyde Park when we visit friends and family. We are working in California for a few years - Jim does real estate consulting and management for Jones Lang LaSalle, and Ginger teaches workshops on Mail Art. She taught elementary school for years. We love to hike and kayak and cook dinners for family. Our two grown children live in San Francisco and Oakland. When not visiting Cincinnati, we head for our log cabin in Wyoming near the Grand Tetons. Jim and Ginger attended Miami Univ. in Oxford, the Univ. of Cincinnati, and Xavier Univ.
Why the Owner Chose Cincinnati:
This is the perfect spot for exploring Cincinnati - the city of seven hills. Hyde Park has a wonderful walking area full of shops, gardens, and restaurants. It is close to Rookwood Commons, Eden Park, Downtown, Oakley and Mount Adams. Be sure to try the black raspberry ice cream at Graeter's. Concerts at Riverfront, ball games, historic Arnold's restaurant, the new Freedom museum, amazing Union Terminal (includes a children's museum) are a short drive downtown. A one hour drive brings you to the antique shops of historic Lebanon, Ohio with the famous Golden Lamb Inn and Restaurant, King's Island, or the old rivertown of Augusta on the Ohio River in Kentucky (Leave your car on the Ohio side and go over on the ferry - a great small walking town). Try swimming and take a picnic to Coney Island or watch the horses at River Downs.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Cute house full of charm and character in a nice neighborhood. Kitchen recently opened up to the dining room making both rooms light and bright. New stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and gas stove. Both bedrooms upstairs have new carpet and ceiling fans, and new wonderful mattresses. Washer and dryer in basement with laundry tub.
