If you are looking for a quaint home, this property that 6 of us enjoyed is for you. This house was our home base while we visited the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and Flagstaff. It is an easy 3 hour drive from Mesa Gateway Airport. On the drive up we visited Jerome and Sedona. The home was clean and met our needs. The beds were comfy and there was still plenty of hot water after 6 people showered in the morning. This home is within walking distance of the "old" downtown. Which was nice because we walked for Starbucks in the morning and some of us walked home from dinner at night. We packed a picnic for our noon lunches and enjoyed Pine Country, Cruizers, and the Singing Pig restaurants in Williams at night. Our hostess was a doll and answered all of questions. The obligations prior to check out are easy and nothing out of the ordinary. This hostess and property comes with our best regards for an enjoyable holiday.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We chose this property for our annual Sister's Vacation. It was my turn to host this and we chose Williams because one of our sisters had never seen the Grand Canyon. We found the house to feel like "ours" from the time we stepped in the door. Melanie was wonderful to work with from the first e-mail and phone calls. The house is an older home, and the little bit of sloping in the kitchen is quite interesting, (we thought it was due to the wine we were drinking :) but the house was immaculate and the beds are very comfortable and linens very nice. The kitchen was well equipped, the laundry room was very adequate, and the dining room was great for our nightly card games. We will certainly choose this property if we visit this area again. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. This is the second rental we have experienced from VRBO and it certainly won't be our last. I am a quilter and WOW, I was in heaven finding the Quilters Mercantile in Williams. LuJean at the Quilters Merc was wonderful, knowledgeable, and the fabrics are of excellent quality and about $1 cheaper than here in Mesa. This location is wonderful. We made the loop to Flagstaff, Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome, Prescott, and back to Williams. We did this twice. It is a wonderful way to see this area. The Grand Canyon is a very beautiful hours drive from the house. This property is very easy walking distance to town. A short 3 blocks to the main street and then either left or right will get you into very interesting shops. The grocery store, Safeway, was excellent and we had all of our meals at home, which made our stay even nicer. The weather was cool, so we had a nice fire in the woodstove each night which really added to the wonderful atmosphere. OH, did I say that the neighborhood was EXTREMELY quiet. Just a perfect setting for us. Thank you for listening to my rambling. MY FAMILY DECIDED TO ALL GO TO THE GRAND CANYON. WE HAD A TOTAL OF 7 PEOPLE IN OUR PARTY AND THE HOME WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. THE BEDS WERE SO COMFORTABLE AND THE AREA NICE AND QUIET. THE DECOR WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE OWNER REALLY HELPED IN PLANNING OUR VACATION AND GAVE MANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA AND PLACES TO EAT. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW TRULY A BARGAIN FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HOME. I DON'T EVER WANT TO STAY IN A HOTEL AGAIN! WILLIAMS ITSELF IS A QUAINT LITTLE TOWN AND WE REALLY ENJOYED THE GRAND CANYON....HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE HELICOPTOR TOUR. ONE WORD OF ADVICE IF GOING IN THE WINTER....IT IS REALLY COLD. YOU WOULD THINK THAT ALL OF ARIZONA IS WARM BUT IT IS AT A HIGH ELEVATION AND WINTER COATS ARE NEEDED. HOME IS NICE AND WARM THOUGH WITH CENTRAL HEAT AND A WOOD BURNING STOVE.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We are still staying at this house and are LOVING IT! This very clean, comfy, cozy place is even better than the listing and has it all... super soft sheets on comfy pillowtop matresses with extra thick comforters (a must, after riding in the car for 12 HOURS!), all seven of us slept like babies. There are lots of soft fluffy towels, plenty of seating in the living room and at the dining table... which is great for games. Should you decide to watch a little TV, there are 3 to choose from! It has a roomy kitchen with just about everything you might need during your stay. We had Thanksgiving dinner (a week early) here and didn't need to buy a thing but the groceries. There are even toys for the little kids! The owners have thought of everything to help make your stay in their lovely cozy home as pleasant as possible. We all feel quite at home here and would highly recommend it to all our friends... can't say enough about this propertyRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented this place from 10/11/2010 through 10/16/2010 and we are 70+. This rental was pretty much the way it was described. Williams AZ was a quaint little town and lots to see and do within a short drive. Our review is not on the property but the Landlord. She was hostile on everything. The side by side refrigerator had no water line connected to the icemaker or even icetrays. The coffee pot did not work which she admitted before we rented and that it would be replaced. We called, her to complain and her response was to yell and tell us to start packing. She told us she did not want us to call her again unless the house was on fire. What was to be our last four days in AZ was not so pleasant. We would never rent from her again, and we would not recommend any of her properties to friends.Owner response: We truly felt sorry for this couple as they had gotten into an argument with their grown children that were supposed to join them at this house for their stay. Apparently they cancelled on them and I am sure this triggered the outrageous behavior on thier part towards anyone they encounted including us as owners and even the cleaning person. From the moment they arrived, they called us incessintaly claiming the house was not cleaned...when in fact it was spottless. So fortunately our cleaning person was still in the area and I had her return so they could point out the problems and take care of it for them. They complained to her that there was butter left in the refrigerator (unused) and water left in the coffee maker. She explained that the previous guests had said it wasn't working so she had tested it to make sure that it was working and infact she showed them that it did work. However, their treatment to the cleaning lady was horrific to say the least. They berated her to the point of making her cry. This greatly upset me because the person who does our cleaning is such a sweet person. We called to ask them why they had treated her so poorly and their comment was they could "care less if they made her or anyone cry". We kept trying to accomodate them but their complaints were as stupid as freaking out about having to change a light bulb and not understanding how to use the TV. No matter what we did or said we could not please these people. We continually asked them if they wanted a refund and they said no that they wanted to stay. They are very strange people at best and truly feel that the argument that they had with thier family left them in such a bad mood that we were ready and willing victims to take it out on.
