Great apartment/great location
Great apartment/great location
The Marcadet apartment is in a wonderful location and is a great apartment. It is in a residential area but close to the metro which connects with everything in Paris. Apartment is charming with large windows opening on living room and bedroom. Kitchen is completely furnished and ready to go. Also has a stand-up shower which can be hard to find in Europe. Great location and apartment. Paula, the hostess, is simply terrific. Would stay there again with no hesitation and would gladly recommend it to friends and family.

Great little apartment
Very nice apartment with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Short walk to the metro made it very easy to get around Paris. Multi- day metro pass highly recommended. Paula, the apartment manager, was very helpful. Bruce & Janie Newport Beach, California

Everything and more!
Everything and more!
Since the first time that I contacted Paula about the apartment to the end of the trip, everything was made easy for me. Paula met us at the apartment as promised, and the apartment was exactly as the pictures and descriptions and more. Every little detail of living in a home was thought of: from having a laptop with internet for use, to having free calls to the US, and to having converters ready for use. The area is great and homey, and provides a great break from the hustle and bustle of the arrondisements along the Seine. We enjoyed the bistros along Rue de Abesses and the close proximity to the metros.

Being able to stay in a beautiful, fully furnished apartment in a cool part of Paris was fantastic and so much better and cheaper than a cramped and expensive hotel room. If your significant other likes to get up at 6AM and you don't, they can do whatever they want to do in the rest of the apartment without bothering you. Essentially you can pretend you live full time in Paris, drinking wine on the balcony in the sun and going out and bringing croissants back in from the many excellent local bakeries for breakfast. The neighborhood is very quiet but is within easy walking distance of the more touristy sections of Montmartre. It also has quiet a few excellent specialty food stores on Rue Damremont including an excellent bakery, chocolate shop, fruit and vegetable vendors and a great gourmet takeaway store on the corner of Lamarck and Damremont. We went to an excellent, Michelin star restaurant called the Bistro Poulbot at 39 Rue Lamarck. You'll need to make reservations in advance. The apartment is very close to two metro stops and the bus stop into Paris, so its very easy to move around the city to see the attractions. We actually enjoyed taking the bus more so we could see the sites. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The staff was also very helpful about answering our questions and making sure we felt at home. I would definitely recommend it highly to friends and family and hope to make a repeat visit in the future.

Had a truly lovely stay in this apartment, earlier this year, making my stay in Paris all the more wonderful. I always find it really hard to find nice accommodation in big cities so this find is a real gem. The apartment is tastefully decorated, bright and with all mod cons. The bakery across the road is delicious and everyone I came across in the area were friendly and polite..... I would recommend this apartment to anyone and will definitely be making a return visit!!!!
