My wife and I enjoyed a four night stay at this property along with my sister, her husband and my fourteen month old niece. The stay was part of a two week visit to California. Our stay began well with hassle free entry to the property, given the very clear instructions from the owners. As others have mentioned, the basket of goodies was a great welcome to the house, after our drive down the coast. The layout was great for us, as one of the main bedrooms was located next to the twin room, which meant that my niece was able to sleep in her own room but not be far from the adult's bedroom. The house is fitted out to a very high standard, it was very clean and had everything that we needed during our stay. The beautiful beach was definitely within walking distance for us, and the facilities in the town were an easy drive away. The Morro Bay location was also very good for exploring the surrounding areas, with numerous great locations within reasonable driving distance. Overall I do not hesitate to recommend the property for others who are looking for a relaxing stay in a top notch property. It was definitely the highest standard of accommodation that we stayed in on our two week trip, and this meant that we had a really enjoyable stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We have rented a vacation house a few times through VRBO in the past, but this was by far the best we have experienced. The moment you walk into this beautifully furnished and maintained house, you would recognize the meticulous preparations made by the owner, including a welcoming basket full of snacks and a bottle of wine. You can feel the personal touch all over the house, which had everything we needed for our stay, and all of them were very high quality -- dinner plates, towels, beds, fresh coffee beans, just to name a few. We did have a problem with the wireless internet access (newly installed at that time, and I presume the owner must have figured it out by now), but other than that our stay was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Owner response: I am glad that you made happy memories at our home. Yes, we got the glitch in the internet fixed and made a small refund for the problem. We feel our guest notice and appreciate the upgrades. Come back again!

Let me begin by saying, if you are considering a vacation rental in Morro Bay, your search has ended. I would challenge anyone to find a more inviting, warm and comfortable home. This is our second, week long stay, in the past year and we plan to return a third time in the very near future. On our most recent trip, we spent Christmas here. As we entered the home, we were awestruck by how beautifully Sharon and Dean, the owners, had decorated for Christmas. In fact, each bedroom had a coastal themed Christmas tree as well as a gorgeous nautical themed tree in the main living room. If that weren't enough, there were even presents for us under the tree. This home has everything you could possibly need and more. You will find a fully stocked kitchen, with A list appliances. We enjoyed a wonderful crock pot meal with Harris Ranch beef from a local market. We also enjoyed fresh coffee every morning. Sharon and Dean were so gracious. They had also supplied us with delicious whole bean coffee and an electric coffee grinder which was a lot of fun. While you are enjoying your meal at the dining table you can see gorgeous views of the ocean and Morro Rock. We also spent an afternoon in Cambria, which is a short drive from this home. There are many places to see and visit close by, such as downtown Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. Additionally, the home has the most comfortable beds you have ever slept in. The home is very quiet except for the occasional sound of surf and shorebirds. Again, I give this home the highest of ratings. I promise you that after one visit, you will be wanting to return again and again. Thank you again Sharon and Dean for such wonderful Christmas memories.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Always a a pleasure to have you stay in our home. Interesting that Santa left a present for us while you were there!

My husband and I and our 3 young adult children spent 3 days at this lovely home. Sharon and Dean have tastefully decorated this comfortable, roomy, and well kept home. After busy days of sight-seeing and playing at the beach, we loved coming home to relax and read and watch movies from a nice selection provided. It was truly as beautiful and clean as mentioned in previous reviews. Sharon and Dean, thanks for sharing your home with us! Thank you for the welcome basket, too!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I'm glad you had a great time with your family. We keep buying new movies to keep up to date. We love reading there also - plenty of quiet and private spaces. Thank You for the nice picture of you and your family. It's nice to put a face with a name. Thank You for taking such good care of our home - come back again as there is something different each season.

When we arrived, we were thrilled with the house - great first impression! Clean, clean, clean! And the welcome basket was a great treat. There was also a book put together by the owner with all the local attractions that was helpful. We were a couple traveling with our sister/sister-in-law and our niece and nephew (8 and 12). The house was a perfect set-up with the master, kitchen, and living area upstairs and the other 2 bedrooms downstairs. We have stayed at nearly 20 homes that we found on VRBO, and I can say that this house was easily the most satisfying experience. It really was stellar.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Have you ever read Coastal Living or Better Homes and just marveled at the beauty and perfection of the homes you see? Staying here was like living in the magazines!! Every detail was perfect and immaculate. The views were stellar and the home just wonderful. The proximity to all that is wonderful about the central coast is what it is all about. The beach is a bit of a walk but an easy drive! It was a joy to celebrate my son's Cal Poly graduation with loved ones in this great home. Highly recommend and if you have never been go to Hearst Castle-just up the road.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: That is so sweet - thank you! Congratulations on the graduation.

This elegant but very comfortable home was a pleasure to stay at while we were in the area. We enjoyed the views, the privacy, the proximity to the ocean and the seaside ambience of Morro Bay. Sharon and Dean have anticipated every need or desire of their guests with a fully supplied kitchen in terms of appliances , dishes and implements with which to prepare food. The bedrooms are well furnished with luxurious sheets in a lovely setting. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative without hesitation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank You very much. I'm so glad that you and your family could celebrate together at our home!

We have traveled to the Central Coast for over 30 years now and just recently began using VRBO to find accomodations. This property in Morrow Bay was one that made our stay a "Special Treat". It was immaculate and decorated and appointed beautifully. As you stand at the kitchen sink you have a beautiful view of Morrow Rock and the crashing waves of the Pacific. The home is quiet and cozy and stocked with anything you may need to make your stay more comfortable. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to our return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much! We also really enjoy the quiet peacefulness. We will be waiting to hear from you!

It simply doesn't get better than this! My family and I were all in agreement that this was by far the most beautiful, inviting, comfortable and serene home we have ever been in. We can't thank Dean and Sharon enough for allowing us the privilege of staying at such a fabulous home. Immediately upon arrival, you are struck by the warmth and peaceful spirit of this home. We arrived to find a wonderful basket of goodies to enjoy welcoming us. This home has every luxury you could want including the finest of towels and linens. This home was clean and spotless. The beds were so incredibly luxurious and comfortable. This is without a doubt the best night sleep we have all had in ages. Every room is so tastefully decorated, a delight to the senses. This home was even better than the listing description. We especially enjoyed the wonderful dvd collection made available for us to enjoy. We were able to watch several movies. The views of Morro rock and the ocean were breathtaking. The owners are very helpful in answering any questions or concerns regarding the property. We enjoyed shopping in downtown Morro Bay and dining at Linn's Bakery and restaurant in Cambria. We were also able to check out Avila Beach and downtown San Luis Obispo. We highly reccomend staying here. You will love it. Our family had booked another reservation elsewhere in the summer of 2012. However, after staying here we are going to cancel our other reservation, so that we can return to this home. Yes, it truly is that grand. Thank you again!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We look forward to having you stay with us again 8/11/12. I'm glad you could still order a bed like the one you slept on at our house. Thank You for such a nice review.

Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: We have loved Morro Bay since we were kids. It is only a few hours away from our residence and easy to travel there often. We purchased this home August 2010 because of so much demand for our condo. Our guests were all wonderful and we enjoyed sharing our home with them. We love the restaurants, shopping, wine tasting and harbor sites. The beach is very relaxing yet there are fun things to do. The weather is consistently about 64 degrees. The residents are friendly and life is at a slower pace.
Why the Owner Chose Morro Bay:
We love being able to see the white water of the ocean from the balconies, living room and dining room. I enjoy the outside plants and flowers and patios as well. The grocery store, restaurants, coffee house, trolley stop are just a few minutes away. The beach is a short walk.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Sitting outside on the balcony watching the sun set over the ocean is wonderful as well as a nice place to have coffee in the morning. The whirlpool bath at night just melts the cares away. I love a fire in the fireplace morning and night sitting on the sofa gazing out at the ocean. The granite in the kitchen, bathrooms and fireplace is beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked and a pleasure to cook in. The pretty decorations and decor bring a sense of luxury.
