  We loved this condo and the owner Laurie Jo was very friendly and helpful. I also liked the fact that the owner was local and well as the management company being on the premises. Not that we needed to use either but it was good for peace of mind. The condo is elegant and very well appointed with many extra amenities such as tennis racquettes, bikes and boogie boards to name just a few. The pool had incredible ocean views and the sand bottom jacuzzi was wonderful. The whales provided and excellent show for us, I couldn't focus on my book as the whales were providing such great entertainment with their tail splashing and breaching. We enjoyed the convenience of having several great restaurants that were within a 5 minute drive. We enjoyed Roy's, Merriman's and Lava Lava Beach Club to name a few plus the gourmet store in the Queens Shops had an excellent selection to choose from. We played golf at the Beach Course and the staff was very pleasant plus we got to play as a twosome which we really enjoyed. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave this wonderful slice of paradise! I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

  A lovely condo--clean and well appointed. Our family of four really appreciated the extra space and all the amenities after being in a hotel room for the first part of our trip. The owner, Laurie Jo, was so friendly and helpful with questions and recommendations. This was a good "home base" for nearby sightseeing activities: beaches, Kohala ziplining, Waimea, Waipio Valley, and Kailua-Kona area. About a 2 hour drive to Volcanoes. The pool and clubhouse area are beautiful... great sunsets! We wish we could have stayed longer! If we ever have a chance to come back to the Big Island, we will definitely consider staying at this condo again.

  We have travelled to Maui Kaui and Oahu.The Big Island was next on our list and as we were told we were saving the best til last.How true.Our stay at Hali i Kai,especially this unit made our two week holiday great.The condo was well stocked with beach accessories,two bikes,tennis raquets, basket ball. Inside the unit everything was top quality,even the view from the lani. Having the owners right here from the island was a huge plus as they gave us many great tips on beaches,activities and restaurants.They are awesome people! If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed!

  As I sit here gazing at the day awakening from the outside Lanai/Breakfast nook at this beautiful property…..I am struggling to find the words that best describe this experience. My wife and I had heard of this place from friends and decided that we wanted to spend a long 32nd Wedding Anniversary here. Well 3 days into this and I am at a loss for words. The Big Island is Majestic, Raw and Beautiful beyond words. This location is the crown Jewel of that experience. The grounds are like some sort of surreal Hawaiian postcard. Whether your intent is golf, tennis, bike riding, or just lounging by the pool overlooking the serene waters of the Hawaiian Islands…..It is all here. The Villa itself is one of subdued elegance….it has all of the amenities that one would look for in a world-class destination, and has a personal flavor of Aloha inspired by the owners. Be it a Romantic Getaway…..and it is…..or a place to bring the family…..many do….I could not more strongly recommend this location.

  Yes, 5 stars!!!!! What more could you ask for in a romantic island getaway. This condo had everything we needed, well stocked with just about every appliance you could imagine. Gorgeous kitchen and baths, large bedrooms, superbly decorated and furnished with a nice tropical flair. The photos don't lie. Overhead fans in bedrooms and living room. We hardly used the air con; fresh Hawaiian air. We certainly appreciated the quality of the interiors. WIth all the traveling we've done, we were quite impressed. We really had a great 5 days. Having the bikes available was so cool and the tennis courts right across the street. It was a lovely short walk down to the club house which was right on the ocean's edge. Amazing pool, my wife really loved it. Sipping on smoothies from the club house right on the water's edge and watching the fabulous sunset on our last night was a bucket list come true. The whole area was quiet, serene, great weather. We were so much closer to the ocean than the other complexes in the resort. A big plus! It also was really nice to be in a well kept private community, so much better than a hotel. BTW, the local management folks we dealt with were great. Gave us a bunch of cool "local" tips. We're definitely coming back again; maybe bring the kids, or our good friends for a shared vacation. Can't go wrong. Loved it!
