  Cute little cabin that was just perfect! This cabin is located right off the main road for the most part but was a little tough to find at first, don't think I ever saw the street name, just need to look for the Echota Resort. It is definitely not for those who cannot climb stairs either as there is a set to the house that are made from what looks like railroad wood beams and were a little hard for my elderly grandmother to climb. Inside it had a woodsy smell and was impeccably clean. The livingroom/kitchen combo is a little small in space but comfortable for a small group. The bedrooms were a good size and beds fairly comfortable. Had a little trouble with the remote, so it might help to have some printed instructions available. The kitchen was adequate, the appliances a little older but worked fine. The hot tub and bathtubs were a great addition. Everything was a quick drive away. While not right on the strip, it seems like its right around the corner. We also ended up leaving an item which they were happy to return to us - thanks so much for that! Overall, it was a great time and wished we could stay longer!

  I wanted to take my girlfriend on our first valentine get away. i rented the cabin for the weekend of Feb.15th 2013. We arrived at 12pm with the understanding that check in wasn't until 4pm. The rental agreement suggested we call to verify the door lock code prior to arrival as it was subject to change. When i called about the code the manager answered and very rudely told me that " CHECK IN WAS NOT UNTIL 4PM ! ! ! "... I said that was fine and asked again about the code. After checking in i noticed a meal voucher on the coffee table for breakfast for two. I called the manager back to correct this mistake. I told her i that i paid for the valentines special wich was dinner for two. Again i was greeted by this rude agressive manager who quickly told me that " I DIDN'T PAY FOR ANY MEAL ! ! ! THE MEAL WAS FREE ! ! ! " I politely said " let me repharase that" i told her " i wanted what was offered online in the valentine special, wich was two nights & dinner for two". She finally agreed to call the Old Mill Restaurant to arrange for the two dinners. She said she would give them my name and told me to take the breakfast voucher to the restaurant and they would make the correction at the check out register. The next day after out dinner, we went to the register to check out and i wasn't shocked when no one there had my name or knew anything about this. After explaining everything to the lady at the register, she called over a man who i assumed was the manager of the restaurant. So again i explained the situation to him. He said he knew the rental manager and that she had not call the restaurant. I showed him the breakfast voucher. He said she doesn't get that kind of voucher and he held up a gift card and said she gets these. After he questioned me about the name of the cabin we had rented i guess we finally convinced him that we were the renters of the Old Mill Lodging Valentines Special cabin and we were not trying to cheat anyone out of a meal. He eventualy told the lady at the register to go ahead and let us have our meal. I am very disappointed with the inhospitable way i was treated and was very frustrated with what should have been an enjoyable and special weekend.

  Owner response: Unfortunately, we “dropped the ball” and did not provide a truly enjoyable experience during this guest’s stay with Old Mill Lodging. Old Mill Lodging strives to make each & every guest’s stay as fun and relaxing as possible. I have spoken with the staff and reminded them of our high standards for service and facilities. Additionally, I have spoken with the guest and offered an apology that they found acceptable and appropriate. In fact, the guest indicated they will be staying with us again in the future! Again, we apologize that we fell short on this reservation. .

  The leaves were beautiful and cabin yard not too hilly so that the kids could play outside. Nice cabin furnished with most everything you need. Flat sheets still being put on bed that i noticed from previous review and only a blanket was there for the pull out sofa no sheets. Luckily we had packed some blankets and used them. Tub jets weren't working but they did leave a note for us to make aware, a phone call would have been better since that is one of the main reasons we booked this cabin because of the two jetted tubs. But the cabin was clean and did the job.

  We had a wonderful stay in your cabin. We booked very last minute and the staff was very helpful. The cabin was easy to find but a little further from the main strip than we had hoped. It took atleast 20-30 minutes to get most places. And there is no view of the mountains, as we had assumed from the pictures. Cabin was very clean and comfortable and suited our needs. A few things to look at, Flat sheets on the bed instead of fitted, sheets slide and leave you lying on the bare mattress. Jets in the Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom to the right wouldn't come on, then when they did, they came on so strong it blew water all over the floor. Hot tub was wonderful but the temperatures would not adjust up or down. Fold out bed in the couch is all springs, you should really look into replacing, it is not sleepable, therefore the cabin would not sleep 6 people comfortably. We really did have a wonderful time, and none of the little things were enough to bother maintenance with at the time. Thanks so much!

  We enjoyed the cabin. It was beautiful, but needed to be stocked better. Rocker on front porch was broken & washer would not work.

  I'm so happy to have this opportunity to comment on our recent stay at your cabin. I had been planning this get-a-way with my two adult daughters for seven months prior to our arrival, Just wanted to spend a week in their company. We were so happy with the clean accommodations you provided us. The cabin is exactly as you described including all the ammenities such as the hot tub, jacuzzi, fully furnished, right to a very functional kitchen. This cabin was in turn-key condition with everything needed to make our stay memorable. Also, very close to all the activities we had fun visiting. I loved it so much, that I recommended it to my son and his significant other. They are renting the cabin next store (cabin #9) in just a few weeks. I know their experience will be just as wonderful as ours. Next time my vacation takes me to this area, I will definitely be booking with you. Can't wait 'til that time comes around again. I do suggest hangers in your closets for guests who wish to spend more than just a few days.   We found the cabin to be reasonably clean, but lacking some of the amenities to which we have become accustomed, such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, and a hairdryer. The bottom bed sheet was immaculate, but was a flat sheet that moved during the night, leaving your face and body to lie on the bare mattress. The toaster was likely a fire hazard. We left a note and, hopefully, it has been replaced. Overall, though, our stay was quiet and pleasant and convenient to the activities in Pigeon Forge.

  The cabin itself was nice, however, the cleaning staff are getting paid to do nothing. Could not take a bath due to the scum in the bottom of tub and around the side. Not to mention that the other bedrooms tub could not even be used due to not haveing a plug. Claimed to have just put in a new hot water tank the day before we got there... was not even able to fill my tub half way before water got cold - but thats when I noticed the scum. Beautiful area, but not overlooking anything, cabin was set in a valley with the hills over looking us, a little too close to the other cabins, but still nice. Not close to the main strip at all. Per the info on the website, I was picturing to be within walking distance.. nope. had a 15 minute drive to get to main attraction areas. The town and people are very nice, just too bad we got taken with a false discription.

  Owner response: We are sorry that the guest had a bad experience. We have systems in place to prevent this from happening, which obviously failed. The cleaning service has been replaced, and the items mentioned have been fixed. We are regretful that they misunderstood the location, as we strive to make it clear that this is in the Echota Resort, which is just a few miles north of Sevierville, and across Route 66 from the new Wilderness Indoor Water Park. We have spoken to the guests on several occasions to make things right with them, and they are going to stay with us again in the fall. Again, we apologize for the issues that our guests experienced.

  Very clean and comfortable cabin. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to I-40, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge is excellent. A trip to Old Smoky Candy Kitchen in Gatlinburg is a must. The Christmas Place is a must see anytime of year. Would recommend this cabin to others and will probably make a return visit ourselves.
