I'm so happy to have this opportunity to comment on our recent stay at your cabin. I had been planning this get-a-way with my two adult daughters for seven months prior to our arrival, Just wanted to spend a week in their company. We were so happy with the clean accommodations you provided us. The cabin is exactly as you described including all the ammenities such as the hot tub, jacuzzi, fully furnished, right to a very functional kitchen. This cabin was in turn-key condition with everything needed to make our stay memorable. Also, very close to all the activities we had fun visiting. I loved it so much, that I recommended it to my son and his significant other. They are renting the cabin next store (cabin #9) in just a few weeks. I know their experience will be just as wonderful as ours. Next time my vacation takes me to this area, I will definitely be booking with you. Can't wait 'til that time comes around again. I do suggest hangers in your closets for guests who wish to spend more than just a few days. Thanks again for allowing my daughters and me a special gals' get-a-way and for the memories that are going along with it. Sincerely, Cathryn Nast (Ashe County, N.C.) and daughters, Beth and Sharon

Cabin 10

We found the cabin to be reasonably clean, but lacking some of the amenities to which we have become accustomed, such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, and a hairdryer. The bottom bed sheet was immaculate, but was a flat sheet that moved during the night, leaving your face and body to lie on the bare mattress. The toaster was likely a fire hazard. We left a note and, hopefully, it has been replaced. Overall, though, our stay was quiet and pleasant and convenient to the activities in Pigeon Forge.
Owner response:We are very happy to hear that you had a wonderful stay in our area. Furthermore, we greatly appreciate your comments. We have replaced the toaster and are in the process of investigating why the bottom sheet was flat instead of fitted. These issues are the exact reasons we provide a 24-hour maintenance line for all of our guests. Again, thank you for the feedback. We look forward to your staying with Old Mill Lodging again in the future.

Need a new Cleaning Service

The cabin itself was nice, however, the cleaning staff are getting paid to do nothing. Could not take a bath due to the scum in the bottom of tub and around the side. Not to mention that the other bedrooms tub could not even be used due to not haveing a plug. Claimed to have just put in a new hot water tank the day before we got there... was not even able to fill my tub half way before water got cold - but thats when I noticed the scum. Beautiful area, but not overlooking anything, cabin was set in a valley with the hills over looking us, a little too close to the other cabins, but still nice. Not close to the main strip at all. Per the info on the website, I was picturing to be within walking distance.. nope. had a 15 minute drive to get to main attraction areas. The town and people are very nice, just too bad we got taken with a false discription.
Owner response:We are sorry that the guest had a bad experience. We have systems in place to prevent this from happening, which obviously failed. The cleaning service has been replaced, and the items mentioned have been fixed. We are regretful that they misunderstood the location, as we strive to make it clear that this is in the Echota Resort, which is just a few miles north of Sevierville, and across Route 66 from the new Wilderness Indoor Water Park. We have spoken to the guests on several occasions to make things right with them, and they are going to stay with us again in the fall. Again, we apologize for the issues that our guests experienced.

Very clean and comfortable cabin. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to I-40, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The Old Mill Restaurant in Pigeon Forge is excellent. A trip to Old Smoky Candy Kitchen in Gatlinburg is a must. The Christmas Place is a must see anytime of year. Would recommend this cabin to others and will probably make a return visit ourselves.

This cabin has all the amenities: two bedroom, two baths with showers, plus a jacuzzi in each bedroom, plus hot tub on the screened-in back porch. Rocking chairs on the front porch, full kitchen., gas fireplace, washer and dryer. Quiet and private. The location was the important feature for us. We did not want to be on top of a mountain. This unit has level parking, 1/4 mile from the parkway. It is nestled in hardwoods, backs into a hillside with wooded hill in front. We were in town working at a trade show and needed easy access, rather than remoteness. Best side of town, close to Kroger and restaurants, no long traffic lines.

My husband & I booked this cabin beginning Sunday 10/24/10 thru to Friday 10/29/10. We visit the mountains several times a year, but this was our first stay with you guys. Overall we enjoyed the cabin very much. It was cozy, I loved the decor, the comfortable furnishings, the swing, & the rockers that were on the front porch, the screened in back porch with the hotub, the beautiful trees in the front yard... I would have rated as excellent, except we were unable to open the door upon arrival, as the code we were given opened up an empty key box, which meant we had to make several calls & finally go to the booking office to pick up keys for the cabin... the 2nd day we were there the hot-tub wouldn't work,,, but after calling the office a repair person came & took care of it quickly. The only other suggestions that we would have found helpful ... if all the switches were labeled as to what they were for (not as easy as you might expect) a stepstool for us ''shorties'' to help get in & out of the hottub, & a coat rack on the wall beside the front door maybe... I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who doesn't request a mountain view, as this cabin is nestled in a cozy wooded area. The personnel was very accommodating & friendly, the cabin was rustic, charming, & CLEAN (very important) & the pricing was extremely reasonable. When road construction is more complete in the surrounding areas, we will be back again. Thanks.

The cabin was exactly as shown in the photographs! The surrounding area was quiet and felt remote, though we were a minute off the main highway. We personally enjoyed being away from the many attractions further south towards Gatlinburg. Great place to take walks, enjoyed the hot tub, clean, decorated with charming touches, and the owner was responsive to any questions before and during our stay. We had dinner at the Old Mill/Pottery House....a highlight of the week! We recommend asking for an outdoor table/weather permitting! We hope to return and enjoy this special cabin again!

This cabin is large and great for couples or families. We enjoyed having our meals at the cabin, good mattresses, and the hot tub is a plus with lots of privacy. We got an excellent deal! We were close to the Smoky Mtn Natl Park and enjoyed the trails and then getting back to a comfy, relaxing cabin. Close to everything.
