Built in 1930 as a movie theatre, this authentic Art Deco building is located in the fancy district of the 16th arrondissement, next to the Trocadero Gardens, within walking distance to the Seine River and Eiffel Tower.
Purity of forms, flare and extravagance can best describe this 93 square meters exceptionnal Art Deco loft located on the 2nd floor of an authentic, yet renovated, 1930 building with an elevator.
The apartment is composed of a good entrance hall leading to a dramatic seven meters high ceiling, linear and spacious living space. Huge windows with all the lights contribute to make the space very modern.
2 sofas (one sofa bed), upholstered in pale cotton fabric, a wooden cocktail table , and two Art Deco-style armchairs allows the minimalist Art Deco style express itself, priority is definitely architecture, volume, light, and space.
On the other side of the living area, the dining area has been set up with a simple yet massive rectangular wooden table with straight lines iron chairs.
Adjacent to the dining area, the stark modern style U-shaped fully furnished kitchen features white bright fitted units and its matching immaculate walls.
This first level is completed with a separate toilet room which includes its own shower.
The original 1930 stairway leads to the upper floor composed of a closed space dedicated to the master bedroom and bathroom, and a comfortable gallery designed around a balcony overlooking the living space which can be used as an additional bedroom since its furnishings include a queen-size bed. The height of the rounded balcony allows privacy at all times.
The master bedroom is quite simple, yet so elegant: King-size bed offers comfort, while the genuine 1930 mirrored console table gives a panache and romantic accent piece.
Adjacent to the master bedroom, charm and precision have gone into the creation of the relaxing and enjoyable bathroom. White, gray and pink tiles composition, typical of the 1930 design is completed by a generous oversized corner bathtub and two hand basins. The mirrored wall cabinets are genuine Art Deco art pieces.
This area of Paris boasts some of the city's most famous sights and attractions. It is the perfect base for exploring Paris: Le Bois de Boulogne, Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe,Modern Art Museum, Marmottan Museum, are all within walking distance. This is a pleasant area to go shopping and there are plenty of Cafés and restaurants to explore. Elegant shopping can be found along Avenue Victor Hugo. The Trocadero area, with its terraced gardens, view of the Seine and Eiffel Tower is dominated by the Palais de Chaillot.
