If you want a good, comfortable nights sleep, do not stay here. Sleeper sofa are not the best beds, but this one was beyind sleeping in. Broken spring on the floor under the sofa. Sleeper sagged so much the mattress got caught under the springs (while you were in the bed) and it was beyond uncomfortable and difficult to rollover on. One painful night here. The regular queen bed was not much better. It sagged do badly you could see the corners of the bed turn up from across the room. Squeaked loudly every time you moved an inch. We ended up making a bed on the floor and sleeping there most of the time. When the floor was too much to take we went back to the queen bed only to end up on the floor again. Pillows were flat with no softness or support, and comforters were old and scratchy brocade. We stayed 6 nights. The poor sleeping conditions really overshadowed the entire experience and make me overlook any possible positives. Quite frankly we were miserable. This condo needs updated beds, pillows, and bedding before I'd recommend it to anyone. Then with a little more updating (very dated decor), the owner may have a nice rental. I would have paid more to have stayed in a more comfortable place.Owner response: Sorry the place didn't work out for you Sara. I have never had complaints about the beds, or the decor for that matter (the photos of the condo are accurate). The queen bed has a memory foam mattress that is only about 2 years old. I'll see if the spring can be replaced on the sofa bed. I would have been happy to have sent my manager over to take a look at it for you. My guests are always welcome to call me. If you found the spring hidden under the coach perhaps a previous guest was standing on it, or had a kid jump on it. I'll make sure it's in order. Thanks for the feed back.

I loved my stay at the Studio Condo. The area was beautiful and the food on the golf course was excellent. When I visit the area again I want this place. The photos are accurate of the rental. The property is very clean. The owner was alway available. I would recommend the property to everyone. The property was just a few miles away from Fred Myers Grocery. The listing states the property will sleep 2-4, well if you want privacy I would recommend only 2 for the property. The space is wonderful but the bed and the hide away couch bed are all in the same room.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The condo met our needs. The only real complaint I have about our stay is that neither the pull out or the mattress for the bed was comfortable at all. We had sore backs for 2 days. Beyond that, the place was neat, clean, quiet and convenient.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

nice spot, close to a nice golf course and resturaunt ... a little tucked away but the bus goes right by. Cozy and not over-sold, pretty basic and small , if you are looking for a place to golf/practice etc, it is all there and you never have to touch your car.. (the wife would of liked a hair dryer and a makeup mirror) all and all a '10'Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Nice older condo located on a beautiful golfcourse. My husband enjoyed golfing there, stating it was challenging, which he enjoyed. Loved the quiet location. It is not within walking distance to any town, but there is a small shopping plaza nearby. There are only 2 ways to drive into Sudden Valley, so you will need to allow time to drive into town with your own or a rented car. Sudden Valley is located within the beautiful forests of Bellingham, WA, so we experienced a power failure after a windstorm blew down trees. Good thing we brought 2 small flashlights & there were candles in the unit. Had a great week & would recommend this condo!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Bob's Burger and Brew / Sudden Valley Clubhouse View on map
If you haven't had a burger from Bob's, make sure you do. They are awesome! My favorite is Bob's Hawaiian Burger. All the burgers are HUGE, so you may want to walk around the lake a few times when you're through eating. The restaurant/clubhouse has a spectacular view of the golf course and Lake Whatcom. I don't golf, but I love eating hamburgers while watching other people do it. You can book a tee time at: suddenvalleygolfcourse.com

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: My name is Skyler. My wife Jamie and I live in St. George Utah with our two sons. I recently graduated from Western Washington University with a Theater Arts Degree. My wife and I love our new home in Utah, but we talk about how much we miss Bellingham most every day.
Why the Owner Chose Bellingham:
As a kid my family and I vacationed every year in Sudden Valley. It has always been my dream to have a getaway of my own in this beautiful place. Shortly after getting married, I took my wife up for her first visit and she too fell in love with Sudden Valley and the Bellingham area. We bought our condo that week and have enjoyed vacationing there ever since.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
From the condo we walk to Lake Louis, Lake Whatcom Beaches, Community Tennis Courts, Hiking Trails, The Sudden Valley Clubhouse/ Golf Course and Driving Range, Bob's Burger and Brew (The food is great and the view is spectacular!), and Tino's Italian Restaurant (Our favorite pizza. Try their pesto pizza or pasta), all within a 1-5 minute walk. Those are just some of the things we do on foot. There is so much to do in and around Bellingham. If you don't know the area, call me!
