  When I came to HummingBird Cottage..... I came Home. Everything I needed was here, this home was thoughtfully stocked with care. It was a lovely, quiet, pleasant vacation spot where we thoroughly enjoyed visiting our grandchildren and celebrating our son's birthday. Truly, all the comfort of home and it was appreciated.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

  Thank you Joy, for our six night stay at your wonderful cottage. You have thought of everything; all the little extras that you supply make all the difference to an extremely comfortable stay. We slept like babies in the comfortable beds and the cottage was so cosy and warm. Everything was clean and of a very high standard. The close proximity to Silver Star Mountain Resort is great, and what a fabulous resort! Our son enjoyed his two days of snowboarding. Hummingbird Cottage is better than described and you and Rick are so kind and helpful. Thanks again for your generosity. We hope to come back again sometime. Regina, Ellis & Tony - Australia

  We spent a wonderful week at Hummingbird cottage. It was attractive, comfortable, and with evrything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

  We loved spending Thanksgiving weekend at Hummingbird Cottage! The house has all the amenities we needed to have a wonderful holiday away. We found the cottage clean, bright, and wonderfully decorated and we were made to feel at home by the owners. We have plans to spend a ski weekend here in the future, and maybe even a week in the summer where we can enjoy the pool and tennis court! Thanks for being a fantastic host Joy!

  2nd time and everything was immaculate - beds are so comfortable! Electronics are updated, kitchen is well equipped, BBQ is top notch and the owners attention to detail is what makes it perfect!! Thanks for another awesome weekend in the woods :-)

  Hummingbird Cottage is a wonderful spot to relax and unload the stresses of the daily grind. Show up with your food and beverage, and want for nothing. The cottage has everything you need for a few days or week of peacefulness. You can actually hear the birds singing all day. The Cottage is so cute, the pictures don't do it justice. The beds are so comfy, and the bedrooms are decorated with a cozy feel to them.The pool is clean and well maintained. This was our second visit in what I hope to be an annual retreat/golf vacation for years to come. A DEFINATE go to vacation spot.

  This clean, updated cottage was the perfect home away from home for our family while we spent a week vacationing in the Vernon area and attending a family wedding. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool was a great spot for the kids and adults to spend afternoons, the neighbours were very friendly and helpful with spots to see in Vernon and area. Located only minutes from many of Vernon's attractions and ammenities. We would definately stay here or at the neighboring Dragonfly cottage again!!

  The Hummingbird Cottage is truly a well hidden little gem. The location is fantastic...where else do you get a big green space, tennis courts, and a POOL?? The cottage is always sparkling, the deck, patio furniture, and bbq are a wonderful asset, not to mention 3 bedrooms! We love it. This has been year two for us staying with Joy...the most wonderful hostess by the way...and we are looking forward to year three!

  This is a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage in a great location close to downtown Vernon but far enough away to have privacy :0) The price is MORE THAN reasonable for all that you receive! We were VERY satisfied with the cottage and all the beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen with all you would need to cook and feel at home... Thank you so much for such a well thought out rental cottage and for all the little extras that you would not expect to find! AAAAAA++++++

  We absolutely were enchanted with this cabin. The BEDS are amazing! :-) We all slept so good! The place is well kept & very clean. The attention to detail was very much appreciated, from the beautiful towles to the Bottled Water to the CD's!!! The sitting area is comfortable for visiting, the table is perfect for 6 for dinner, the BBQ is hooked up to Natural Gas w/ all the necessary tools. It was a perfect place for the 6 of us and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
