“Dillon Beach View House”—newly built custom home with magnificent views and easy beach access.
With unobstructed views of the Pacific and easy beach access, “Dillon Beach View House” is not just located in Dillon Beach; it’s designed for life in Dillon Beach. We built our first vacation home here in 2003 and soon fell in love with this charming beach community. In fact, we liked it so much; after a few years, we began looking for another property to build our ideal beach retreat. We searched and waited for a property that was not only a short walk from the beach, but that also took advantage of the areas spectacular coastal views. Though it took a while, we finally did find the perfect place to build the family retreat we envisioned. In planning, designing and building this home, we sought to bring in everything we love about Dillon Beach—the beach, the views, and most of all enjoying a relaxed lifestyle with family and friends. The result is “Light House Point.”
The home was finished in March 2010 and includes 4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths and 3000 square feet with a main and lower level. It is designed to take full advantage of the natural light that brightens this little hill and the stunning views that span from Tomales Bay and Point Reyes to Bodega Bay. It boasts panoramic ocean, white water and beach views from nearly every room in the house; has a spacious and open floor plan and includes Restoration Hardware furnishings throughout. It is also a comfortable haven for gathering with family and friends with lots of special features that we think you’ll enjoy as much as we do.
The main level includes a great room with a beautiful stone gas fireplace, an ample conversation area, and a cozy sitting area for star gazing or whale watching; a spacious and well equipped gourmet kitchen with a butler’s pantry and second sink; a large eating area overlooking the Pacific; a master suite with a soaker tub, separate shower and private patio; as well as a powder room and a separate entry from the garage.
The lower level includes a separate living area with a large television and patio area, two additional queen suites with full bathrooms (one includes an additional jetted soaker tub with a separate shower); a “bunk room” with two bunk beds and two single pull out sleepers, and a fully equipped laundry area.
Other features include: all natural stone travertine and hardwood radiant heated floors, low-voltage mood lighting, a Bose sound system, a two car garage and plenty of outside parking, a central vacuum system; and, not least of all, luxury mattresses-- including tempurpedic and Chattem and Well's.

It’s true; we love Dillon Beach and rarely miss an opportunity to head for the coast with our family, but we also love sharing the gift of “Light House Point”. To us, Dillon Beach is all about building a lifestyle that includes taking long walks and hanging out on the beach, spending lazy afternoons with a good book, taking in breath taking views and gazing at stars. But most of all, it’s about hanging out with those we love--cooking and eating, talking and laughing, playing games . . . and even dancing.

I have taken my Church staff here 5 times now, always renting a new home. This home is BY FAR THE BEST WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT! Don't hesitate to stay here. The master bedroom is amazing, as are all the other bedrooms. I don't even feel the pictures on this site do it justice. We have now found the home we will be be renting from here on out every year. Make sure to drive over to Bodega Bay and pick up fresh caught crab (caught that day). Your experience at this home will be beyond excellent, as will your entire stay in the Dillon Beach/Bodega Bay area! Like I said, we have tried out 4 different homes each year, and none of those four compare to this home. Go have a great time with family and friends here! I highly reccomend this place!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

I am a researcher by nature, and looked at rental homes all up and down the northern/mid California coastline before renting the View House. It was amazing! We had an absolutely beautiful trip, and my in laws were so impressed with the house and views as well. We didn't want to leave, and will be back soon. If you hesitate, don't! It's worth it! It's a custom home with all the extras plus some you'd expect in your own home. I seldom write reviews but was compelled to do so because of the amazing experience my friends and I had this weekend at this beautiful home. It was a stormy rainy weekend that was experienced fully by the warmth of the decor and the ocean views from almost every room of the home. The designer of this house must travel the world and has certainly captured a style unmatched by any other home I've rented. My sincere compliments to the designer builder and/or owner - it was a fabulous experience and I can not wait to go back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I stayed at the house with my girlfriends and family for my 50th..It could not have been a more special place to turn 50! When we arrived we all ran around the house like little children at the happiest place on earth! When our guests arrived they let out a resounding WOO-HOO! It is exactly as the pictures appear. Stunning and beyond belief for a rental! The decor was perfect! The beds are heavenly! The master bedroom was like a dream. I woke up at 3 am with a beautiful suprise out my window. The full moon had illuminated the sea. It felt like a gift all for me. Perfectly centered in the room of windows. I will never, ever forget my stay at this spectacular place!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Wow! this property is amazing, the views a breathtaking. Walking in I just stood there in shock the pictures just can't express the personality of this house I felt like I was actually walking in a magazine! They need to call house beautiful or VIA magazine to do a shoot! Seriously. We had my husbands birthday here and now he say's we have to find a property here, let's just say I didn't argue with that HA! We're defiantly coming back ,next time we will stay longer it's was just so hard to leave.....Great job, can you build me one of these? This place is hands down the nicest rental we have ever stayed in. It's almost an insult to even call it a rental. It's got so much style, so much class, so much charm that the ocean, which can be seen from just about anywhere in the house, becomes suddenly less impressive. The only problem we had all week was coming to terms with the idea that we couldn't stay forever.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We were one of the first to rent this home. It's newly-built, beautifully designed and decorated. This must have been in an interior design magazine recently! Large windows, views and open spaces. Each bedroom is quiet and private. You'll get the sunset from most rooms. It's a dream home, perfect for our family reunion weekend. It was hard to leave. We are grateful for all the planning, design, and care put into this beautiful family home. The pictures don't do the layout of the space and the attention to detail, the light, the views justice--all of this is better in real life than the photos can show. Our holiday really could not have been better! I would totally recommend this house for those who care about space, light, lack of clutter, cleanliness and a great open plan ideal for a wonderful family holiday. We spent our 2010 Christmas at the View House and found it to be perfect in every way. It was cold and rainy much of the time but we loved watching the stormy waves from the cozy house with the fire going.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This really is an amazing home. I loved that we were only a short and easy walk to the beach but were still able to enjoy magnificent panoramic views from every room. In fact, the home is situated and designed in a way that makes you feel like you're out to sea on your own giant yacht with views from literally every angle. .Honestly, this home is so beautiful that we would have been quite content to have never made it to the beach--though we did and loved it. Though the design and decor are reminiscent of something in Architectural Digest, this home is really comfortable and was perfect for a mini-family retreat with our children before our son left for boot camp. We enjoyed cooking and hanging out together in the spacious kitchen, talking and playing games by the big stone fire place and whale watching or reading in the lovely little sitting area. At night my husband and i gazed at stars from the most comfortable bed we'd ever slept on. Staying here was like staying at a five-star resort and we definitely recommend it.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

This place is amazing!!! I took my family for a getaway trip and never expected it to be the best trip we have ever been on. it was soooo relaxing. I truly felt like I was staying at a resort! The beds are so comfy and the house has views from every bed room so we were all able to wake up to the spectacular view. We all walked daily. It was a perfect situation because you could walk on trails or the beach. My son loves to do intense bicycling and this is the perfect place for that too!! Spacious enough for a large group but really comfortable for my family of 5. love, love, love this place!!!!!!!
