Year Purchased: 1999
Hi, I'm Janet, the owner of Gateway Cottage in Gloucester, Massachusetts. I bought the property in 1999 and completely rebuilt it in 2003 to take advantage of the fantastic water views.
When I'm not a rental host, I'm a database marketing consultant and have operated my company, Marketing Frontiers, since 1989. I help companies collect, organize and use marketing information to improve business results.
I have two grown sons, 2 granddaughters, and live in nearby Ipswich, Massachusetts.
My hope is to move to Gateway Cottage in a few years when I sell my Ipswich home.
Why the Owner Chose Gloucester
I bought Gateway Cottage because I fell in love with it's idyllic waterfront location. It is one of the few properties where you can enjoy a high degree of privacy yet have quick access to major highways, local restaurants and area attractions. There is nothing more restful than sitting by the fireplace while watching the tides come and go in the tidal river below. On a summy day the sunsets are mesmerizing. This location is a favorite spot for wildlife artists and writers looking for inspiration and serenity. I know you and your family will enjoy your stay.
