Location: Evora, Portugal, Europe (Lisbon airport - 1 and half hour drive. Evora - 40 min drive)

Accommodations:  Farmhouse/Monte, 8 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 6 Baths (Sleeps 2-26)

The monte/farmhouse is situated on the edge of a little hamlet in the heart of typical Alentejano countryside, with its ancient olive trees, corn and sunflower fields. Peace and tranquility is only interrupted by the sound of birds and goat bells. The nearest village Motrinos is one km away, a short walk for local shopping, fresh bread, and fresh goats milk cheeses.

The historical World Heritage town of Monsaraz set within its ancient fortified walls high on the hill, is about a five km drive; there are several excellent restaurants, craft shops and a castle dating back to the 11th century. Nearby is the newly formed lake, Alqueva, the biggest in Europe, a natural reserve with fishing and boating.

The well-known city of Evora ia a 40 minute drive, and within easy reach are the towns of Vila Viçosa, with the King's Palace, Borba, Estremoz, Elvas and Badajoz in Spain.

Monte Branco consists of four houses, set around a garden full of palm trees and flowers bordering the lawn; an oasis of green amongst the summer dryness. The spring displays the most spectacular countryside full of color and wild flowers. The pool area has wonderful panoramic views to Monsaraz, especially at night when the town is all lit up.

THE CELEIRO has recently been restored from an old Barn to provide a large (150 m2) open space for meetings, workshops, or for all the guests to get together and relax, or party! There is bar, and kitchen/serving area, 2 w.c.'s, a big fireplace and a covered varandah with view to Monsaraz

CASA ANTIGA - OLD HOUSE (sleeps 4/6)
The old farmhouse dates back 300 years, has a living room with huge sit-in fireplace, a kitchen with old slate countertops, two bedrooms,with the original domed ceilings; one bedroom has two single beds, with two extra drawer-type pull-out beds, (and a baby cot); one bedroom with queen-size bed; one bathroom with full bath/shower.
PLUS - optional adjoining
SUITE AMARELO - THE YELLOW SUITE (sleeps 2)- with a double bed, a small single sofa bed, a bathroom with shower, a breakfast-maker (coffee/tea/toast) and a small fridge.
This suite is optional, so Casa Antiga can be with 2 or 3 bedrooms, or available seperately.

CASA PISCINA - POOL HOUSE (sleeps 2/3)
The Pool house next to the covered BBQ area, has a living room with big sit-in fireplace and domed ceiling, a fully equipped kitchen - Microwave, dishwasher, etc.; one bedroom with double bed and single bunk bed above, in handpainted Alentejano style; one bathroom with full bath/shower. The living room has a double sofa bed.

CASA JARDIN - GARDEN HOUSE (sleeps 2/4)
The garden house, on the other side of the lawn, has a living room with full kitchenette and fireplace; there is an alcove with a double bed and a single bunk bed above,handpainted Alentejano style,and a single sofa bed in the living room; one bathroom with full bath/shower. There is a covered terrace for outside dining.

CASA DO FORNO - OLD BREADOVEN HOUSE (sleeps 6/8)
Adjoining house dating back 300 years, entered independently from road, recently restored as simple farmhouse accommodation. Living room with big sit-in fireplace,and doors out to dining patio/bbq area, kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, fridge, microwave, etc, one bedroom with two single beds,another bedroom with two single beds,and two bunk beds in alcove outside the bathroom which has small bath/shower.....
PLUS - optional adjoining
THE STUDIO (sleeps 2/4)
Has seperate entrance but can be connected directly from Casa do Forno living room; lower floor has a bathroom with small bath/shower, a cosy sleeping/relaxing alcove "moroccan style", a spiral staircase leads up to open mezzanine with double bed and breakfast maker unit (toaster/coffee maker, small fridge). Great view to Monsaraz.
The Studio is optional so Casa do Forno can be rented with two or three bedrooms, or can be rented seperately

ALL HOUSES:
Included: sheets, towels, electricity, water, gas, firewood. The maid is included once a week for general cleaning, changing sheets and towels. Extra hours by arrangement. Garden and Pool maintenance.

Arrival Saturday after 16.00 hours (weekly rents only)
Departure Saturday before 12.00 hours(weekly rentals only)

-Refundable breakage/damage deposit payable upon arrival: Casa Antiga and Casa do Forno -300 €uros, Pool house and Garden House 200 €uros

-30% deposit to confirm reservations
-70% payable 30 days before arrival
