  The view from Makena almost to Lahaina is magnificent but that's not all. All adult, quite, gentrified, well maintained, lovely setting with a super comfortable dining lanai. Quite pool 45 ft away and owner's lending library 45 ft in the opposite direction. Fully equipped doesn't begin to describe the kitchen and pantry (inventory first before you go to Safeway). We beached every morning (a wide variety of beaches) and lounged or toured in the afternoons. This end of the island is the best by far and this place is THE ONE.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  My family of four loved Mike's condo in Wailea. As others have said, photos on this site do not do it justice. There are so many awesome touches and this was the best-stocked condo I have ever rented...and we've rented plenty all over the world. The views were spectacular. We spent every evening taking in the gorgeous sunsets on the lanai with a great bottle of red. The fact that the condo is set up high allows for these views. The closer you get to the ocean...the more "blocked" the views become. Access by car was easy as pie to anywhere you wanted to go. It was a very quick drive to so many lovely beaches and a great walk down to the Shops at Wailea. The beds were comfortable and linens were luxurious. The grounds at Ekolu are lush and well maintained. We did not use the pool but it was right beside the unit and quick to access. We preferred going to the many beaches that line the area. Mike has lots of items to make your beach stay comfortable like chairs, cooler bags, large cooler, and an umbrella. Another savings. Renters have been hard on them though and I'm sure he has to replace often. Everything worked perfectly...with the slight exception of the wifi from time to time. We had to keep resetting, but this even happens at our home and ski condo from time to time, so no fault of Mike's. He did give very good instructions on how to deal with issues like this, was very responsive to all questions Everything was extremely easy and straight forward for check in and check out. We are returning to Maui in two months and had previously booked a condo in Kihei with friends and I'm guessing it can't possibly be as nice as this one...I know the view won't be! I'm actually sad we are committed to the other one as I can't imagine a nicer place for the money...and, the entire area of Wailea is much more "thought out" and prettier than Kihei. We hope to return to this condo in the future. I can't image a more perfect space, location, or owner to deal with! Thank you so much Mike!

  We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. The condo was beautifully decorated, yet had a very "homey" feeling. Extremely quiet, yet a short walk down to the shops at Wailea as well as the beach. Everything promised in the listing was provided. The pictures do not do it justice -- it is much more beautiful! Sitting on the lanai, watching the sunset, was the closest thing to what I imagine heaven will be.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

  This was my second stay in this fabulous condo with an amazing location. The furnishings are luxurious and extremely comfortable. The property is landscaped for beauty and seclusion, so it feels very private; and yet, you are close to restaurants, shops, resort hotels, and your choice of nearly private beaches. The best places to watch the sunset: (1) the lanai at unit 806,and (2) the cliff above the beach behind the Wailea Beach Marriott. Favorite beach: take the first right turn just past the Fairmont Kea Lani resort and follow the road, past private residences, until you see a sandy area to pull over and park (right and left side of road); walk on a path through trees to a beautiful fine-sand beach with gentle waves. Great snorkeling (I swam with a giant sea turtle) and shore diving (scuba). Quiet, clean, and shade if you want it.

  Aloha. This is just a fantastic place to stay in Maui. We simply adored the condo. We had a wonderful vacation and this condo had absolutely anything anyone could ever need. Beach gear, a full kitchen, games, books - you name it. It was absolutely perfect! Very clean and well kept. Spacious 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Very comfortable. We especially loved the great kitchen and of course the beautiful lanai with such an amazing view. You can have dinner, watch the sunset and if the season is right, see the whales. Bliss. The property itself is fantastic. Quiet and beautifully landscaped. Lots of parking. Nice neighbors. We used a nice little BBQ area twice, right on the golf course. The pool is quiet and very clean. Just what we needed in order to relax. This was our second visit to Maui and when we return we will most definitely stay here again. We'll definitely recommend this to anyone we know who is planning a holiday in Maui and in gorgeous Wailea. The owner was very helpful and great with communication, payment and instructions prior to our arrival. Directions and entry were a breeze. We didn't have a single problem or issue during our stay. If you don't stay here, you're crazy :-) A little about us so you get our point of view: 2 couples around 40 years old (but we feel like we're in our early 30's), young professionals from Canada, trying to get away from hectic schedules, also vacationing with friends at other properties. No kids or pets with us.

  This is an excellent condo for the following reasons: - upper floor location, quiet and excellent views of the ocean; - parking is close to the unit and always available; - a short, pleasant walk through the manicured property leads you to the Shops at Wailea, hotels, restaurants and beaches; - the swimming pool is practically right outside your door! - the unit is clean, uniquely decorated and well laid out; - the sunsets from the lanai are fabulous! This unit is really beautiful and the owner has put a lot of effort into making it comfortable and attractive with lots of creative art and artifacts in every room. The owner was very prompt, professional and excellent to deal with during the rental process. If there are any minor faults they are that the kitchen is a bit cramped and the indoor dining area is too small for more than a couple of people but you'll probably be eating out on the lanai and enjoying the view most of the time anyway! We hope to enjoy this unit and its fabulous location on Maui again! Highly recommended!

  The condo is everything described and more. Waking up each morning and having coffee out on the Lanai that overlooks the ocean was amazing. You can easily see Whales breaching from the Lanai, especially at sunset during whale watching season. The kitchen has everything you would need, and both bedrooms have large beds with very nice linens. You can walk down to the beach in a few minutes, and there is a running/walking path that runs along the beach near the resorts and shops. There are several great restaurants within minutes of the condo (Joe's, Spago, Capishe to name a few), and a Safeway close by to pick up groceries if you want to make dinner at the condo. We used the beach chairs and towels every day. The beaches near the condo(3 of them) are very nice, and provide great snorkeling(and scuba). Staying at the condo was so much nicer and private than a resort, and if you do feel the need to check out a resort, you can walk or drive right down to one. I would recommend the condo to anyone that is going to Maui for a visit!

  I searched and searched for the 'perfect' condo.and area, and was not dissapointed in this condo. or Wailea. Michael was easy to work with and has excellent taste. I appreciated all the fine details- top of the line bedding/towels/dishes/beach towels etc... Plenty of beach stuff to make the trips to the beach even more enjoyable. Easy (and beautiful) walking to shops and beaches. The view from the condo was spectacular!! We also appreciated all of the books/maps about Maui, and even borrowed the CD for the road to Hana. P.S. Michael--Although the lighting was low-we Loved the lighting fixtures!

  This is by far the best condo I have had the opportunity to stay in Maui. It beats any other five star hotels nearby. It's in such a nice location and the place reminded me of home. Very cozy and relaxing. It has everything you need to make you feel at home. Walking distance to the beach and shopping. A romantic place to enjoy the wonderful views. We'll definitely stay here again.
