We spent three wonderful days at Sterling Cottage. The cottage itself is impeccably clean, quiet and cozy with every possible convenience you can think of. From a full kitchen, to a comfortable living room with that great fireplace, and the peaceful, comfy bedroom. We were delighted to find homemade pumpkin bread waiting for us and goodies in the refrigerator. The property is lovely and perfect for walks or just sitting on the benches. And, it is very private. We highly recommend Sterling Cottage for a simple getaway or a romantic excursion. You will be pleasantly impressed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Sterling Cottage was the perfect place for our family of five and our small dog to get away for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Lovely setting, peaceful views and all the comforts of home. The Sterlings are excellent hosts, warm and welcoming but completely unobtrusive. We were charmed by the chickens, sourcream coffee cake, roaring campfires, the hammocks and the amazing hillside views. Cottage and grounds are immaculately clean and well-maintained. Conveniently located to Woodstock, Quechee and Hanover. We can't recommend it highly enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This is the perfect cottage for whatever you are seeking. The owners are fantastic; the cottage is comfortable and has everything you might need, even including organic eggs from the Sterling chickens. Cosy and conveniently located. I cannot recommend it more highly. It and the Sterlings are the best!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this cute-as-a-button, cozy, clean cottage. Owners left homey touches (breakfast foods in fridge, yummy homemade pumpkin bread on the kitchen counter) for us to enjoy. Close to town but located on 7 acres of with plenty of peace & quiet. The perfect weekend (or longer) retreat for a couple - or small family.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I, and our little dog, had a wonderful couple of days staying at Sterling Cottage. The owners Tamara and Jon have thought of everything you could possibly need and more and are extremely welcoming. The cottage is ideally positioned very close to Woodstock although the Cottage itself is so nice and was such an antidote for us from the City we most enjoyed staying in by the fire! I couldn't recommend Sterling Cottage more highly.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

Owners are lovely and welcoming. Fridge was sprinkled w/ goodies. A Kureig Coffee maker w/ coffee provided. They welcomed me and my dog and then gave us our privacy (main house is close by). I skied Killington and ate well in Woodstock. A perfect getaway for me and my dog. She could roam around the property w/o a leash. Excellent time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We stayed 3 nights at the lovely Sterling Cottage. It was a perfect getaway, just moments away from picturesque Woodstock, VT. The cottage was all that we could have hoped for -- and more. It was decorated for Christmas and had all the pantry basics, including coffee. The small fireplace was cozy, the bed super comfortable and the heat kept us toasty in sub-zero temps. There was plenty of privacy and the cottage is quiet, though close to the main road. Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
