Why the Owner Chose Sands Ocean Club
We are in the middle of BareFort Landing and Broadway at the beach and the factory outlets stores are right up the street from the condo. Walmart is close by along with a number of great resturants. We are close to the entetainment also.

We had a great time here! We had a great view of the ocean and food and entertainment were at our fingertips. My 10 year old loved the lazy river after a long day at the beach. The Ocean Sands is an older building, but we were pleasently surprised when we got to our room. It was bright, clean and roomy. You could tell that it is taken care of and the full size refrigerator was a plus! Our oldest decided to join us last minute and even with her using a roll away it wasn't bad at all. This is the perfect place for a small family! We arrived early and were allowed to check in immediately. The gentleman who assisted us was super nice and helpful. We would definitely recommend and plan on returning next year.

My Family goes to Myrtle Beach every year and we always stay in a different condo, but not anymore. We stayed in this condo the week of 7/2/11 and absolutely fell in love with it so we plan on staying here every year now. The Sands Ocean Club is a beautiful place, and the staff is amazing making you feel right at home. It is in an excellent location with restaurants and entertainment in every direction and the night life is right at your fingertips with Ocean Annie's beach bar right below your balcony. The room itself has been newly renovated and is in excellent shape. It's also kept very clean with modern decorations and plenty of space. The view of the ocean is amazing and it also overlooks the lazy river and Ocean Annie's. Also the booking staff at the realty company was very helpful making special arrangements for our late arrival and providing everything we needed during our stay. From my experience of staying at different places the last 15 or so years, this condo was our best ever.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children.

WE TOOK A LAST MINUTE TRIP DOWN TO THE BEACH AND THE OWNER WAS KIND ENOUGH TO ALLOW US TO STAY IN HIS UNIT. IT WAS A DREAM! THE VIEWS WERE SPECTACULAR, THE AMENITIES WERE AWESOME! WE HAD THE CHANCE TO CHECK IN EARLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR A GREAT TIME! BETTY SMITH

My husband and I recently rented this condo and needless to say, if we go back to Myrtle Beach we will definitely rent elsewhere. The condo owner did work with us since we rented last minute and did not make us provide a security deposit but that is where his generosity ended. He told us to get there earlier than 4 because he had somewhere to be and we ended up getting to the condo around 1:30 but due to him not being clear on payment arrangements, we didn't get to get on the beach till around 6 anyways so we rushed up there for nothing! He told us on the phone before we drove up to bring a check, which we did and he accepted it but about 15 minutes later he called and said we needed a money order. We went and got one and called him from the condo to meet us to exchange and he had already cashed our check! Then when we met him he tried to walk out with both the check and money order! Then, because no one told us you have to sign a money order, we had to meet him somewhere about 15 minutes later (which this was our first time to Myrtle Beach and didn't have a clue where anything was). His description states a Full Kitchen but all it is is a microwave and cooktop. We bought a frozen pizza for dinner one night and were sadly dissappointed because we were not wanting to eat out but maybe once or twice. He didn't tell us anything about the area, no good restaurants or anything. We only got to stay for 2 whole days so our time was precious and he took part of that away from us. If the beach hadn't been so peaceful and relaxing, we would have probably gone home early. We will not be recommending this condo.
Owner response:Renters had an out of state check and only were staying for three days and did not have a credit card. So we ask for a money order, because the check would take five or six days to clear . The property management company ask for the money order because they were staying a very short time and the check was out of state. We had to run around because there money order was filled out inproperly by renters and bank would not cash it. This was on my 60th Birthday, and to my surprise my friends threw me a party, which I was late to, because I was running around for the renters. No hotel would have done this. A credit card is is requried on the spot.
