Nice Vail Colorado Ski Condo!!!
VRBO Bear stayed here - 02/25/2011
What an amazing place to come out of hibernation!!! As you may know I’m not your typical bear because I find it hard to stay in my rock cave when there are such lavish comfortable places to stay and play in my native mountains. Vail is one of my favorite ski hills in all of Colorado and this cozy condo fits Bears and cubs just right. If skiing is your activity, the free Vail busses will pick you up just a block away, which is only a 10 min ride to Vail Village. I found this extremely convenient since the condo home base to me and my traveling companions.
Since the streams were frozen and hard to scoop fish out of, we were happy to find a shopping center 5 min down the road. The shopping center provided everything including a grocery store, liquor store, sports store with rental gear and restaurants. If you forgot something at your den or needed anything, you could find it there.
The main floor of the condo is great for family or group together time. The kitchen, dining and lounge area are wide open and will keep everyone together. There is a great deck with lots of privacy just off of this great room. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need to whip up a meal before or after your day of mountain adventuring. When its time to clean up and retire for the evening we were surprised no one had to fight for a shower. Each bedroom has its own adjoined full bathroom.
This mountain escape is perfect for families, a few couples, or a few bear buddies looking to get away and enjoy the pristine mountain air. I’ve already recommended this place to all of my friends in the National Forest and will recommend it to you as well. Enjoy!!

Contemporary Vail Condo - Minutes from the Village
Year Purchased: 1999
Why the Owner Chose Savoy Villas
When I was young my parents owned a condo in Vail and I learned to ski in Vail. I now share a similar experience with my family. Vail offers some of the best skiing in Colorado and consistently ranks as one of the top ski resorts in North America. Although best know for it's skiing, Vail also offers a wide range of summer activities. Our family enjoys the summers in Vail just as much as we do the winters.
The gondola is located in the heart of Lionshead (west most end of Vail Village) and provides direct access to the top of the mountain and Eagle's Nest.
Located at the west most end of Vail Village, Lionshead is home to several restaurants, shops and prime access to the Vail Mountain Resort.
The bus stop is conveniently located near the condo. The Town of Vail Bus provides free transportation for getting around Vail. The bus drops you off at the Vail Transportation Center (the heart of Vail Village). Our stop is the 4th to last stop which makes for a short trip into the Village (approx. 5 minutes).
This is one of the trailheads for the North Trail System. The trails provide excellent hiking and mountain biking the entire family can enjoy.
This is one of the trailheads for the North Trail System. The trails provide excellent hiking and mountain biking the entire family can enjoy. Roughly a mile into the trail is a beaver dam.
Vail Mountain extends from Vail Village to Lionshead with several access points up the mountain. Vail Mountain is the 2nd largest resort in North America and provides skiing, hiking, and mountain biking for all levels.
The Transportation Center provides bus and taxi service throughout the Vail Valley as well as Denver. This is where the bus from our condo drops off giving you convenient access to the Vail Mountain and Vail Village.
Vail Village is the heart of Vail. It offers a wide range of restaurants, shops and activities as well as access to the mountain.
The Vista Bahn is located in the heart of Vail Village and provides direct access to Mid-Vail (one of several on mountain lodges).
The bridge will give you access to Lionshead (west most end of Vail Village) and is approximately a 10 minute walk from the condo.

We purchased our Vail condo in 1999 and have enjoyed sharing the experience with our guests since day one. Vail holds many memories for our family and we try to find time to enjoy the beauty of the mountains as often as we can.

The Condo provided just the right resting spot for our summer vacation in Vail. The layout of the condo worked well for our family to have space and privacy, yet enjoy the living room and deck together. Each room has a bathroom off of it and there is a bathroom on the main level which meant we were never waiting in line for the bathroom. The condo is nicely furnished throughout. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook several meals. It is a clean and well taken care of condo. The condo is located within a short biking distance to the main Vail village. We also enjoyed a nice hike up to a water fall which was only a short drive from the condo.

Place was well kept up, there was a problem with the cable but it was fixed right away. Very close to town and skiIng!
Owner response:We enjoyed having Mary and her guests stay with us. We do our best to immediately respond to requests or problems that might arise. Fortunately this was an easy fix which required turning the closed captioning off after it was mistakenly turned on.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children.
