We had a wonderful stay at "The House on the Corner". We were in town for my Mothers 90th birthday at the Gray Barn across the street and needed lots of rooms for several couples and some adult children. The House on the Corner was perfect! A nicely restored Victorian that was tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained. Having some local history was a bonus as some of our family members had been in the house 40 or so years earlier and were thrilled to see how nicely it has been restored. As it was in early December and the automatic pellet stove kept the living and dining rooms nicely heated and added a real warm country feel. The bedrooms were large and all of the ceilings were high providing a very spacious feel to the house. The bathrooms were clean, well appointed and had sufficient hot water for our needs. There was also a WiFi connection which my children really appreciated. The owners left fresh eggs from their chickens in the fridge along with enough other provisions to get through the first morning breakfast. I bought some more eggs from the market just a mile or two down the road for the second morning and gained a real appreciation for the fresh ones the owners had left us for the first day. I should note the owners were available but stayed to themselves allowing us to pretend we were living in such a nice old Victorian. I would look to stay here again on my next visit if I needed this much space.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We booked this for a family wedding and reunion. There were 8 adults 2 children and a 1 year old infant. The house is amazing, the attention to detail is really impressive. The house was spotless, and Emily provided so many extras like pushing a high chair out for the baby, fresh eggs from the chickens and homemade jam in fridge. Emily even e-mailed us some events the day we were checking in. The yard and gardens were very relaxing to walk through, the deck shaded from the hot sun was great for breakfast , relaxing during the day and enjoy the evening. We will definitely be back. This place and it's hosts made this the perfect weekend for our family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

Beginning with a refrigerator containing eggs laid by the owners' chickens, our weekend with two new babies with their parents, one uncle, and ourselves began very well indeed. AtTheCorner with its delightful gardens and spacious rooms was close enough to the museum and markets in Ithaca and to the wedding site where we met more family to make returning there a pleasure. We applaud the restoration work our hosts have accomplished.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

At The Corner is a meticulously manicured mansion that is nothing short of pure class. While our party was a bunch of loud, beer-drinking charlatans, the owners (who live next door) were very gracious in letting us blow off some steam and get a little rowdy. It's a magical place for a vacation and 4 full bathrooms were clutch when it was time to get ready for the wedding we were going to. We had a fabulous time and would definitely stay again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My friends and I stayed at this location for Cornell reunion 2012. It was great! The house is really nicely maintained and very clean, with nice bathrooms. We loved hanging out in the common living room and had some nice dinners on the side porch as well. The owners were very helpful and even left us a dozen fresh eggs from their chickens! They also had some kid items on hand which was great for my friends who brought small children. It was a quick drive to campus. We definitely recommend it.Recommended for: Families with young children.

Eight of us came to stay for my daughter's graduation from Ithaca College. The house was just terrific, very clean, comfortable and with plenty of space for even the grandchildren to enjoy. The rooms were just as pictured on the website, bahrooms were immaculate and all linens furnished were of high quality: big soft thirsty towels, plenty of pillows, very nice sheets and quilts. Everywhere we looked there was something amazing about this unique home to appreciate!! I would definetly recommend this property to a friend or relative ( actually I will be doing just that because my cousin's daughter will graduate from Ithaca next year!) The owners were very helpful and always promptly got back to us with answers to questions. They also generously put in some wonderful "starter" provisions: fresh eggs, home made jam, and such which made us feel very welcome.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Three couples came together to celebrate the White Coat Ceremony @ Cornell Vet School in early December. At The Corner was perfect! We brought in dinner for 8 Saturday night and had a wonderful, relaxed dinner. Rooms and beds were great. First floor has plenty of space for dining and chatting/entertaining. Couldn't have been better.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+.
